Episode 9- What I found out

1440 Words
Emily's party was in full swing, the music pumping, and the drinks flowing. She had invited Addie and Tylor, eager to impress them with her lavish gathering. As the night wore on, the group gathered around for a game of Truth or Dare. Tylor's turn arrived, and a mischievous grin spread across the face of Emily's friend. "Tylor, what's the craziest place you've ever...you know?" Tylor's eyes sparkled, her voice confident. "The school bus, first year of Senior High." The room erupted in a chorus of "wild" and "damn," Emily's eyes narrowing slightly. Addie's face flushed, but Tylor's quick thinking saved him from embarrassment. Later, Addie's turn arrived, and the group cheered, urging him to choose Dare. Emily's friend smirked, her voice dripping with malice. "I dare you to kiss Emily, right here, right now." Addie hesitated, Tylor's hand on his arm a gentle warning. But he shook it off, his eyes locked onto Emily's. The room held its collective breath as he leaned in, their lips meeting in a soft, brief kiss. The game continued, but Tylor's smile masked her discomfort. As the night wore on, she excused herself, disappearing into the crowd. Addie searched for her, his eyes scanning the sea of faces, but she was nowhere to be found. The party still raged on, but for Tylor, the night had lost its sparkle. She slipped out into the cool night air, her heart heavy with a mix of emotions. Little did she know, this was just the beginning of a tangled web of relationships and desires. Addie tried to reach Tylor several times, but she didn't respond. The weekend finally ended, and he saw her at school, where he approached her. Addie's eyes locked onto Tylor's, his grip on her arm gentle but firm. "Tylor, please listen. I've been trying to reach you for days, and I can't keep going on like this. What have I done wrong? Why are you shutting me out?" Tylor's eyes blazed with anger, her voice firm. "You kissed another girl, Addie. You kissed Emily, and you expect me to act like nothing's wrong? You didn't even follow me when I left the party." Addie's face contorted in regret, his voice filled with remorse. "I didn't mean to hurt you, Tylor. It was just a dare, a game, nothing serious. I didn't think it would affect you like this." Tylor's expression softened slightly, her voice still firm but less angry. "You should have thought about that before you did it. You should have thought about me." Addie pulled her close, holding her tight. "I love you, Tylor. Nothing can ever change that. Please don't shut me out again. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for what I did." Tylor's expression softened further, her voice gentle. "I love you too, Addie. But please, don't ever do that to me again." Addie's face lit up with relief, his arms tightening around her. "I won't, I promise. I'll never hurt you like that again." Addie took Tylor to his old home where he used to live in their Senior high school time. "Are we here to pick up something?" Tylor asked, curiosity etched on her face. "No, I have a surprise for you," Addie replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement. Tylor's face lit up with anticipation as she stepped into the beautifully decorated house. "Wow, Addie, it's stunning!" she exclaimed. Addie beamed with pride, pulling out a chair for her to sit. "I'm glad you like it," he said, filling her glass with wine. Tylor's eyes widened as she took in the delectable spread before her. "Did you make these?" she asked, her voice filled with skepticism. Addie chuckled. "Not really, I ordered them." Tylor smiled, shaking her head. "They look good though," she said, taking a bite. Her eyes confirmed the delicious flavors. After they finished dinner, Addie asked her to follow him upstairs. Tylor's surprise turned to amazement as she entered his candle-lit room. Addie wrapped his arms around her waist, his lips tracing gentle kisses on her neck. Tylor's heart raced, her body melting into his embrace. "Addie, this is incredible," she whispered. "I wanted to make it special for you," he whispered back, his breath sending shivers down her spine. As his hands traced her skin, and his warm breath caressed her neck, Tylor knew exactly where this was heading. She parted her lips to speak, but Addie's mouth silenced hers, his kiss deepening into a passionate embrace. With a gentle tug, her dress slid open, and he lifted her onto the bed, their bodies entwining like vines. Addie's shirt flew off, and his fingers danced across her skin, sending shivers down her spine. Tylor's words were trapped in her throat as Addie's passion intensified, his touch igniting a fire within her. She pleaded with him to stop, her voice barely audible, but he wouldn't relent until her cry of "Stop it!" echoed through the room. "I am sorry, but I can't do this," Tylor said, her voice trembling. "But why? What happened? Did I do something wrong?" Addie asked, confusion etched on his face. "None of it, Addie," Tylor replied, her eyes welling up with tears. "Then why? We're not strangers to each other. We've been together for four years now, Tylor," Addie said, his voice laced with frustration. "I just think... we should take it slow..." Tylor stammered. "We've been at the slowest rate, Tylor!" Addie exclaimed, his hands thrown up in exasperation. "No, Addie... I am sorry, but I am not ready," Tylor said, her voice firm but laced with sadness. She quickly turned and ran out of the room, zipping up her dress as she went, leaving Addie looking frustrated and confused. Tylor was perplexed, unable to comprehend why she had rejected him the night before. A pang of regret gnawed at her heart. The following day, they missed each other at school, but Addie unexpectedly showed up at her doorstep in the evening. They exchanged a brief, awkward conversation. "I'm sorry about last night... I—" Addie began, his voice laced with remorse. "Forget it," Tylor interrupted, her voice barely above a whisper. "Aren't you angry with me? Is that why you avoided me today?" Addie asked, his eyes searching hers. Tylor couldn't muster a response, her emotions still tangled. Instead, she wrapped her arms around him, a silent apology. Addie's embrace was warm and comforting. "Come on, I felt so bad... and stupid. I don't know what came over me. I'm really sorry, Tylor." Addie's apology seemed hollow as he began to spend more time with other girls, indulging in activities that made Tylor question his sincerity. It felt like he had relegated her to the friend zone, and his charm and attention were now focused on Emily. Though he still played it cool with Tylor, the connection they once shared had vanished. Tylor was confused, unsure if Addie was trying to keep her around or push her away. As time passed, Addie's behavior became increasingly critical. He grew irritable, lashing out at Tylor over minor mistakes. His words cut deep, making her feel like she was walking on eggshells around him. The situation left Tylor feeling lost and uncertain, struggling to understand what had gone wrong. Tylor had enough of it all and decided to face him and make things clear between them, she stormed into Addie's new apartment, her heart racing with hurt. She found him in a romantic embrace with Emily in the kitchen, sharing a toast bite directly from each other's mouths. Tylor's eyes widened in shock as she took in the intimate scene. "What is going on here?" Tylor asked, her voice trembling. "Hi, Tylor!" Addie said, seemingly oblivious to the tension. "What is she doing here?" Tylor demanded, her eyes fixed on Emily. "Oh, Emily, we had a few mates over for a party, and she got really drunk, so she spent the night here," Addie explained nonchalantly. Tylor's gaze narrowed. "She's wearing your shirt, Addie." "I know, Tylor, what's the big deal?" Addie replied, shrugging. Emily interrupted, "It's just cool, nothing serious..." Tylor's anger boiled over. "Shut your mouth, I didn't speak to you!" she snapped at Emily. Addie intervened, "Woah, Tylor, calm down. Why are you acting like something happened between us? You can't talk to her like that; she's my guest." Tylor's voice rose, her emotions raw. "Are you for real right now, Addie? What did I do wrong that you're doing this to me?" Addie: "Did I really do something? I'm just being me and allowing you to be you. Isn't this what you wanted?"
