Episode 10 - How it ended

1449 Words
Addie continued, his voice rising, "So, please let me live my life!" Tylor's face contorted in pain as she spat out the words, "Is that it? Okay, fine. I won't bother your life again." She turned and walked out, tears streaming down her face. Addie's expression remained angry, his jaw clenched in defiance. Emily, on the other hand, looked wickedly excited, her eyes gleaming with triumph. She sauntered up to Addie, her voice dripping with feigned concern. "Oh no, did you guys just have a fight because of me?" Addie's response was cold, "Not at all, Emily. This should have happened earlier." Emily's smile grew wider as she wrapped her arms around Addie's waist, her eyes gleaming with victory. Tylor's tears fell harder as she disappeared from sight, the sound of Emily's giggles echoing in her mind. The once-close friends and love birds had finally flown away in opposite directions, their eyes passing over each other as if they never existed. Tylor's heart ached with uncertainty, but one thing was clear - she deeply missed Addie. Her love for him refused to let her continue blaming him, and she began to blame herself instead. "He's a man, and we've been together for too long," she thought. "Every man runs out of patience eventually." Tylor made several attempts to meet Addie, but he wouldn't even glance in her direction. Emily, on the other hand, seemed to be doing everything in her power to keep Addie's attention. The two women finally crossed paths, and Emily made her intentions clear. "You need to back off, Tylor," Emily said, her voice dripping with possessiveness. "I'm the only one in Addie's life now. You had your chance, and you blew it." Tylor's eyes narrowed, her determination renewed. She wouldn't give up on Addie without a fight. Undeterred, Tylor made another attempt to reach Addie on his birthday. To her surprise, he finally agreed to speak with her. They sat down, their eyes locked in a mix of emotions. The tension between them was palpable, but they both knew they needed to talk. "Addie, I'm so sorry," Tylor began, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was blind to my own flaws and I hurt you. I understand if you can't forgive me." Addie's expression softened, his eyes filling with regret. "Tylor, I'm sorry too. I was too proud to listen to you and I let my anger consume me. I shouldn't have shut you out." Tylor's eyes welled up with tears. "I missed you so much, Addie. I promise to work on myself and communicate better." Addie's face relaxed, a small smile appearing. "I missed you too, Tylor. And I promise to listen more and not let my ego get in the way." They both took a deep breath, the air between them filled with a sense of relief and new beginnings. "I forgive you," Tylor said, her voice firm. "I forgive you too," Addie replied, his eyes crinkling at the corners. As they hugged, Emily looked on, and suddenly storm away. Exactly one day after they had reconciled, Addie had departed on a two-week journey, slated to return on Valentine's Day. Despite the distance, their phone conversations flourished, rekindling the spark between them. Inspired by their renewed connection, Tylor decided to make amends on that special day. With a thrill of excitement and a hint of nervousness, she booked a romantic dinner at a luxurious hotel restaurant, complete with a reserved room for the night - a first-time gesture that spoke volumes of her love. Tylor waited for three long hours, her excitement and anticipation slowly giving way to disappointment and worry. She had dressed up specially, her hair and makeup perfectly done, and her favorite perfume applied. She had been checking her phone every few minutes, but there was no sign of Addie's text or call. As she waited, her happiness gradually turned to sadness. Just then, Emily made a sudden appearance with her friends, a smirk on her face. "Oh poor girl, are you still waiting for your love?" she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Tylor sighed, her eyes rolling in frustration. "Please Emily, I don't have time for this." Emily chuckled, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Ah well, I do. You see, Addie and I have been in touch, and let me show you something." She pulled out her phone, flashing a bright smile as she showed Tylor their pictures together. Tylor's eyes widened in shock, her mind racing with doubts. "Please, Emily, stop. I don't want to see this." Emily continued, unfazed. "Oh, come on! You're still waiting for him, aren't you?" She then played the recorded conversation, her eyes gleaming with triumph. Tylor's face fell, her heart sinking with disappointment. "What is this?!" she exclaimed, her voice shaking with emotion. Emily shrugged, her smile still plastered on her face. "Addie told me everything. He only wanted to have s*x with you and see what would happen. He was just using you, Tylor. But now, he's in love with me." Tylor's world came crashing down around her, her heart shattered into a million pieces. As she stumbled away from the painful encounter, her legs felt like leaden weights, her feet barely grazing the ground. The silence was deafening, a heavy fog that suffocated her. She collapsed to her knees in the middle of the road, her body racked with sobs, her tears flowing like a torrential rain. The sound of her anguish echoed through the desolate streets, a haunting cry that seemed to pierce the night. The scene shifted to Tylor in her room, where she lay curled up on her bed, her face buried in the pillow. Her body trembled with convulsive sobs, her tears soaking the fabric as she mourned the loss of her love. The pillow seemed to swallow her cries, a silent witness to her anguish. The room was dark, the shadows cast by the moonlight outside seeming to close in on her, a suffocating embrace that reflected her emotional prison. The air was heavy with the scent of heartbreak, a palpable grief that hung like a cloud over her. Her phone, still clutched in her hand, seemed like a cold, unforgiving weight, a constant reminder of Addie's betrayal. The screen, once a window to their love, now seemed like a cruel mockery, a testament to the lies and deception that had shattered her heart. Tylor's thoughts raced with painful memories, her mind replaying every moment she had shared with Addie, every laugh, every kiss, every whispered promise. The pain was suffocating, a crushing weight that pressed down on her chest, making it hard to breathe. One month fleeted by in a blink, leaving Tylor in a desolate landscape of heartache. The silence from Addie was deafening, a chilling absence that echoed through her empty days. She withdrew from the world, her once vibrant spirit now shrouded in a listless haze. Even the taste of food was ash in her mouth, her mother's gentle coaxing the only sustenance she could bear. Her father, returning from his Asian business trip, was met with a daughter he barely recognized. Tylor's once-luminous eyes now seemed dull and lifeless, her skin pale and drawn. He was consumed by concern, his paternal instincts on high alert. He swiftly arranged private sessions with a psychiatrist, determined to help his only child rediscover her footing. Two months passed, and Tylor's transformation was nothing short of remarkable. As she stood at the entrance of their home, dressed in her new college attire, her long face seemed to hold a glimmer of determination. With a deep breath, she stepped forward, her footfall echoing through the silent hallway. It was as if she was stepping into the future, leaving the shadows of heartbreak behind. Four years later, Tylor emerged from the doorway, her transformation nothing short of astonishing. In a stunning VFX-like metamorphosis, the once-broken girl had blossomed into a confident, bossy, and cold classic beauty. Her long face still retained its serious expression, but it now exuded an air of authority, her dark glasses and sleek hairstyle adding to her executive allure. Behind her, a sleek Rover car gleamed in the sunlight, a testament to her hard-won success. A secretary trailed her, dutifully carrying her belongings, as Tylor strode forward with purposeful strides, her high heels clicking on the pavement. The once-shy and heartbroken girl had transformed into a formidable force, her gaze fixed on the future, her smile nowhere to be seen. The world had better be ready for the new Tylor, a woman who had risen from the ashes like a phoenix, her determination and grit forged into an unyielding spirit.
