Jenna stepped out of the car, and in front of her stood a big mansion in a remote area.
Her jaw dropped as soon as she entered the sitting room which was furnished neatly with a golden chandelier.
“Welcome to my private home.” Alpha Ryker said with a smirk noticing the shock on her face.
“This is your home?” She asked curiously.
One out of many, he smiled at her.
She stared as some people came towards them and bowed to him.
“Welcome back home, Alpha.” They all chorused at the same time.
“Where is Chase?”
“He is not back from the last task you assigned to him, Alpha.” An elderly woman responded.
“I need him back here as soon as possible,” Alpha Ryker instructed.
“Is the room ready?” He asked turning to Jenna who was still trying to figure out his intentions.
The woman nodded, staring at Jenna with curiosity on her face.
Jenna was even more curious than the woman was. She wondered why he brought her to the night villa which was his private home and what he wanted from her.
“Take her to her room,” he said without turning to look at her and he left the sitting room.
The woman turned to Jenna, with a smile that said she was not welcomed here.
“This way, miss…” she said and Jenna nodded, following closely behind her.
They came to a halt in the last room by the right at the third floor and the woman swiftly opened the door ushering her in.
“Who are you and where are you from?” She asked turning to face Jenna, her voice laced with coldness which startled Jenna a bit.
“I’m…Jen…Jenna spears from the crescent moon pack,” she stuttered trying not to provoke the elderly woman.
Well Jenna, I’m Mrs Addison, the head housekeeper of the Stone’s family.
Nice to meet you, Mrs Addison, Jenna replied but she ignored her pleasantries.
“Hummph,” she scoffed. “I do hope you get comfortable in this place but before then there are rules in this house,” and you will start with the first and important rule; you are not allowed anywhere close to the fourth floor, is that understood!?” She shot.
“Yes ma’am,” Jenna replied shakily.
Now that’s better, she added and left the room, banging the door hard.
“Ok..well,” guess I’m not welcome here, Jenna muttered.
Alpha Ryker sat in his home office staring at some pictures when he heard a knock on the door.
“Yes, Chase,” he could smell his best friend and personal assistant from afar.
“Hey Ryker,” he greeted as soon as the door opened and he walked in. “I just came back.”
“You took so long.” Alpha Ryker said, staring at Chase who looked all tense.
“Apologies, Neo refused to sign the deal easily and delayed our time.”
That son of a b*tch…. I guess I should visit him.
Chase kept quiet for a while before he spoke up. “Seems there’s something you are yet to tell me.?”
Ryker chuckled…. Always impatient, Chase. Why do you think I sent for you?” By the way, you should try to finish up the other job.
“Yes, Alpha.” He nodded.
Ryker turned to the window on his right. “I brought her home and stopped the wedding from happening,” he said, turning to look at him.
“She’s carrying my child already, Chase.”
Chase lowered his gaze. “Trust me, Ryker, you don’t want to keep her here, remember Damien is not just your Beta but also your nephew… you know why her father was forming a marriage alliance with Damien's father and you want to risk your life for her, right?
Ryker narrowed his eyes on him. “Are you opposing my intentions?”
“You know I can’t do that … rather, I want you to see reasons why you can’t have her, Alpha.”
“Believe me when I tell you I do, I know exactly what I am doing, Chase.”
Then you might want to know she belongs to the crescent moon pack, the same pack whose Alpha wants you dead. “You know she is his daughter, what if he uses her to make you weak.” He said clenching his fist tighter. “This is not worth it, Ryker…”
Ryker remained silent for a moment, turning to stare at the file in his hands. “I have made my decision, Chase.” She is the mother of my unborn child and might as well be your Luna.
“Our Luna, huh?” Chase said with a scoff.
“Yes or maybe,” Ryker responded.
“Doesn’t look much like it, she’s just a weakling and might be your death.”
“Watch what you say about her and mind the way you talk to me!” I’m your Alpha.
Then act like it, you are becoming weak because of a woman.
“Enough!” Ryker growled. “I will not have you berate her and she is mine to set the records straight.
Chase’s eyebrows shot up in surprise.
“Yours? And here I was thinking you only wanted the child from her and revenge against the crescent moon pack.”
“Things changed,” Ryker confessed.
“What changed?” Chase scoffed and paused the moment he realized the seriousness on his face. “You better not tell me she is your mate.”
Ryker exhaled, staring at him as he hit his fist on the table in annoyance.
“Hell no! She is, isn’t she ?”
“This conversation is over, Chase.”
Chase didn’t say anything more, as he stormed out of the office and banged the door hard.
Taking a deep breath, Ryker picked up the file on the table and walked out of the office to meet Jenna.
As soon as he knocked on the door it was opened.
“Can I come in?” He asked, clearing his throat.
This is your house, why would you be needing my permission?
His brown curly hair and piercing blue eyes left her completely lusted.
“Do you like this place?” He asked as soon as he stepped in.
“Mmm…ye…yes….” She stuttered.
Good, he nodded. “I have a question for you… Do you wish for me to protect you from your family and Damien? Do you want to take back what is rightfully yours from your half-sister? Do you wish for a place to stay away from them?”
“Ye..yes… I do.” She replied.
An evil smirk played on his lips. “Good then, there’s just one way to achieve this.”
“How?” She asked curiously.
“We would get married by paper, more like a contract marriage.”
“Wh…wha…what do you mean contract!?” Jenna shrieked.
