The room was too quiet. The only sound was Jenna’s uneven breathing as she stood by the edge of the bed, staring at him. Alpha Kaelion sat back in the chair across from her, relaxed in a way that made her chest tighten. His eyes burned into hers, daring her to move. “On your knees,” he repeated softly, almost too softly, like velvet laid over steel. She froze. Her heart hammered so hard she swore he could hear it.
