Chapter 1

A long sigh was released by Police Officer Ristia Davria Asher. The white towel wiped her sweaty nose. She feels very hot. Not to mention that she was bored to death. Before becoming a police officer, she first worked as a bodyguard in a private agency. But in some of the cases she handled, she was not even caught in any action. Nothing even came true with the threats of her clients. So in less than a month, she herself ended her contract with her last client. And she thought of getting into policing — which was really the main reason why she took up Criminology. But where was she now? She has been assigned to the traffic department for two months. Guards inside the patrol car every vehicle that violates traffic laws. She moaned in frustration. This was not the kind of job she had in mind when she entered policing. She wanted Suspense. Thrill. It's not like she's sticking to sweat and just so clean with her gun that she's never even used. As a child she had dreamed of becoming a police officer — where all the action she thought was. And when she became a cop, she thought his life would be like that of one of the cop TV series she was watching — the NYPD Blue. Who chase criminals and fight. But with the season finale of the series she is watching, she's just keeping an eye on traffic violators. And when she doesn’t endure boredom, she will likely enlist in the military and send to other places. Again, she blew out a long sigh. Her gun was already shining because she had been rubbing it with a towel since they arrived at that intersection near the Andres Bonifacio monument. Bonifacio was still good, and life became meaningful. Died because of the town for his own town. That was exactly what she wanted. She shuffled the gun. "I just wish, I could fire this gun, Rei." She said to her partner in the driver's seat. Breint who had his eyes fixed on the swarming vehicles on the street turned to her. Then he smiled. "Me too," it replied to what he said. "I haven't fired it in a long time—" He placed his one hand on her thigh "—my gun." Then a smirk appear on his face. She immediately raised an eyebrow. "Is that so?" She smiled sweetly, too sweetly. "My hand is itching to shoot..." She pointed the gun at his head. "Should I try it on you? What do you think?" He quickly withdrew his hand, raised it in the air. "Dude, I'm just joking." She rolled her eyes and put the gun back in the holster. She had never been accustomed to that kind of attempt — and it should have known that. They have been partners for a long time. Although he was a young man and a handsome man, he's not her type. Many times she had turn him down in his courtship but from time to time it continued to hint. So did half of the male population in the precinct — even those married who did not spare in flying — air at her. But he doesn't let them down, nor does he expand their desire to take him to ... that place that's pure glass. He can't count the number of his co-workers who scolded him for pretending that there was no malice in his footsteps ... pakabig kabig. So “Dab, dude,” became what the department called him. She was dark, tall and sexy. Sexy because the back of her body is beautiful. He said he should be an actor or not a model because he is more suitable for such an office than being a police officer. In the end, when their overtures did not work for him, he was accused of having a man's heart. Tomboy. He didn’t care what fellow police officers called him. The man her heart was beating for hadn't really come yet. "Could you, Rei, when I'm so bored I might-" He was stunned at what was being said when someone spoke on the two-way radio. He immediately turned up the volume. The message is for police officers stationed elsewhere in the Valenzuela area. There is a holdup going on at a gas station there. And with that news, Ristia's mood immediately changed. "Did you hear that?" She was smiling from ear to ear. "How can I not hear, eh, that volume is so tight?" disappointed it says. "The BBB is less than five minutes from here." He closed the car door. "Turn on the engine, quick!" he commanded. "I don't like what you're thinking, Dab ..." Breint protested. He handed over the key hanging in the ignition hole and he himself started the engine. "There's a robbery going on in Valenzuela, Rei. Here, nothing." "But that's not our territory." "I know." He glared at it. "Will you run it or what?" "This is crazy, Ristia. We can do it with Boss-Chief." That was the exaggerated call they made to their boss. "We're not supposed to leave our post." He tried to reach for the door on its side and opened it. "All right, stay here. You'll be quick to guard the vehicles and I'll help the other unit." It didn't respond, just stared at him. "What?" he sighed. She didn't want to miss the action. Breint seemed to be under his hypnosis, he closed the door he opened again and obediently operated the vehicle. She grinned silently, she knew eventually it would follow her too. only "It's wrong, Dab ..." he said shaking his head, "Boss-Chief will kill us." He straighten up in the seat. "I'll take care of it. I'll cover you to Boss-Chief," he replied complacently. "And hurry up." In a few moments, they rushed towards the scene of the holdup. Ristia's full attention remained focused on the two-way radio. According to that, the man who held the gas station was released. Adrenaline pumped her blood. All he needed to do was help Breint step on the slingshot. "Rei, turn left at the corner! That's where the man ran away!" Breint quickly turned the steering wheel. "Woow— s**t!" it ejaculated when at their exact turn they were going to hit someone. It's running. Breint stepped on the brake but because the man turned to look at the source, he could not avoid their vehicle. It collided with the hood of the vehicle and hit the face on the windshield. So was Breint who sank when he suddenly braked. The two almost kissed in the glass of the patrol car. Breint's eyes widened at him. "N-n-we collided ..." Her voice trembled. But the man lifted his face over the hood. It's still alive! And such was the shock in its appearance when both their eyes met. He quickly got up and there they saw him holding a gun. And on the one hand is a clutch bag that swells because of the flesh. It immediately ran away. "That's exactly the holdaper!" Ristia shouted. He quickly got out of the car to chase the man. He was immediately followed by Breint. She smiled when she saw the man's condition. It could hardly run fast anymore, he must have hurt one of its legs from the bump. And there is no doubt that he will chase it. Secretly celebrating his will. Finally, the big moment she had been waiting for. He was sure after all this he would be put on a good assignment. He had the gun ready when he was only a few meters away from the man. So was Breint on his back. "Freeze!" Her voice almost echoed all over the place with the strength of her scream, she was feeling like she was Clarice Starling in Hannibal. She could imagine Breint rolling his eyes The man stopped running. He couldn't hide the smile. Now she felt like a real cop. He glanced at his partner for a moment. She saw Breint rolled his eyes in a mixture of dismay and amusement. Yet he clung to it. She would kiss him as soon as she handcuffed the man. He turned his attention back to the holdaper. "Put your hands in the air ..." He was very happy with himself. "And drop your gun!" The man understood what he wanted to happen. It threw the gun to the ground and raised its hands in the air. "Good," he added. He stepped closer to it, one hand still holding the gun and focused on it while the other was preparing the handcuffs. She was now a foot away from the man. "You have the right to remain" She didn't finish saying, a voice roared from her left. "Asher! Crimson! What are you doing here ?!" She turned around. He only smiled at the police acquaintances assigned to that area. "Actually, we just passed-" "Dab!" Breint's warning shout. It happened quickly. He was stabbed in the chest by the man and he immediately grabbed his gun. The next thing she knew was when she fell to her knees on the ground. He almost choked on his breath with chest pain. Ouchh! he shouted quietly, grinning at the same time. The holdaper quickly fled. The police immediately chased him. "Dab, are you okay?" Breint helped him stand up but he rebuffed it. "I'm fine!" Covering his chest he stood up. If there was one thing she hated most, you hurt her. He will pay that man. "My gun!" He grabbed Breint's gun and ran after the man. "Dav!" Ristia felt not breathless but angry as she ran. He watched the man enter the wet market. Two policemen followed. He turned right to greet the holdaper in the other direction. He had already heard the people roaring. Then she saw him, holding his gun so people were screaming. The two policemen stopped the chase because the holdaper was crowding the people. But Ristia saw that she could no longer run because of the injury to one of her legs. In its desperation, it pulled a civilian, a girl. The people shouted. Ristia broke up the people to give her way. The girl was crying and called the mother, in which case the holdaper pointed the gun. The police are also positioned. But she wanted to crush the man's face with the pain she still felt in her chest. He felt it penetrate to the bone. He approached carefully from behind it. But a policeman turned to him and that was enough to make the holdaper turn around as well. It quickly retreated to the side. The gun was firmly attached to the hostage's p***s. That didn't stop her from walking toward him. "Hey, I have my gun!" he shouted angrily. "Don't come any closer!" it warned that he was only a few steps away from it. "Blast this woman's skull!" The holdaper's screaming eyes glazed over. "It's like I care," he said, his eyes narrowing. Everyone was silent. Every breath seemed to hang in the air, even the girl's sobbing. "Ashe! What are you doing ?!" A policeman shouted at him. He hears nothing. He continued to approach, Breint's gun focused on it. He saw it confused without being afraid. Suddenly panic appeared on the man. The gun was removed from the hostage's lap and fired away. The teenager immediately ran away from it. With a trembling hand the holdaper pointed the gun at Ristia. "You're dead!" cry of the holdaper. He fired. Those around shouted. But no gunfire was heard. Surprise from everyone present can be heard around. One woman fainted ... became two. Of course, he knew the gun he had stolen had no ammunition. He wasn’t stupid to approach it if it had a bullet. When he cleaned the gun earlier he removed the bullets. He still had them in his pocket and lost the thought of returning them. The man's eyes widened. Shock and terror were drawn on its face. The chin shook it. "Do you know how much pain the chest hurts? Well, like this ..." He knelt between her thighs with great force. It screamed in pain. With tears in his eyes, he wiped his face and knelt down. "Oh, right ..." She c****d the gun she was holding, "I haven't finished reading your rights as a citizen. You have the right to remain silent ... blah-blah-blah-" "Ristia!" Breint was too late to steal. He was already firing the gun.
