Starting Over

I woke up hearing the beeping of the machines I was still hooked up to. I open my eyes to the soft light from the sun coming through the window. Ever since the first night no one has come to see me but my father. my step mom never liked me so I didn't expect her to come but I also hadn't known what to expect. my father never asked what happened he only talked about a new job for me when I got out of the hospital and a new move to help me. He hadn't explained much. I sat the bed up with my remote and got out walking to the window. I open the solid shade that covered the window. I looked out of the hospital at the vast forest surr I unding the territory. The trees were vibrant green and smaller trees starting to turn yellow and orange showing the change of seasons coming. I took a deep breathe closing my eyes picturing my wolf and me running in the free forest. There was a soft knock on the door that brought me back to the hospital. "Oh good your awake," said a nurse in blue scrubs said as she walked in to my room. "Vitals check, and I think today you might be getting discharged today." I turned to face her smiling. She had long brown hair pulled back into a messy ponytail. Her blue scrubs made her tan skin and green eyes pop very beautifully. "You look so much better then when you came here," she said as she unraveled the blood pressure cuff.I walked to the bed and sat on the side while she put the cuff on my arm. "Well I hope I look better then when I came in," I said rolling my eyes. "Actually we are all amazed you made it. You really almost succeeded. Please don't do that again." She said looking into my eyes with such compassion. "If anything is bothering you. ANY THING, please come talk with me. I live in the pack house 3rd floor." "Thank you," I said looking down at the bed. "I don't know what is going to happen when I go home but I guess if I can survive that then maybe I can just make it one more year." The nurse kinda looked at me funny. "What," I ask as I look at her confused. "Did no one tell you," she asked writing down the numbers on the machine next to the bed. "What donyou mean," I asked again confused. Just as she was about to say something there was a rough knock on the door and it swing open not waiting for a response. It was Alpha Decker standing in the doorway. "I need to speak with Miss Burch alone please," he said stepping to the side holding the door for the nurse to leave. "Yes sir," She said as she pushed the machine out the door. Be fore Decker could close the door she yelled," Chelsea, remember come to me for anything. especially if he gets over bearing," she said pointer her thumb at the Alpha. My eyes went wide as I had never heard anyone talk to the Alpha like that. Decker smiled and chucked as the door closed behind her. "Is Jessica treating you well," Decker asked as he turned and grabbed a chair bringing it next to the bed. "Yes, Jessica is nice. I feel like everything's going to be ok, when I'm around her. like she's my big sister or I guess how a real big sister should act." I kinda mumbled the last part thinking of how my step sister didn't act nice in anyway. I was just her slave and punching bag. The thought of her hitting me again made chills cover my body and I shook slightly at the thought forgetting the Alpha was sitting right next to me. He looked at me carefully as I turned to look at him after the small shake. "Are you feeling ok," he asked eyeing me up and down. "yes, sir, I just had a stupid thought is all. um," I continued to try and distract him from what just happened. "Jessica said im getting discharged today so if you could please call my dad and tell him I'll be getting out today. That would help alot." He looked at me for a long moment before speaking. "You are getting discharged that is true but considering how you got here you will jot be returning to your house." He almost growled out the word not. I looked at him with fear rising in me so fast. Coh no what did he know. I didn't say anything! What will Will do. Oh Goddess if he thinks I told anyone he's going to beat me to a pulp. will I make it? oh no no no. my mind was screaming at me as I tried not to show my thoughts. I failed miserably as I watched the Alphas face change from stone to a look of fear that quickly got replaced. "Chelsea, Your not going home. William will never come near you again." He said it so flatly that made it clear he had found out what he did to me. The blood drained from my face. My mouth started to fill sith saliva as a wave of nausea hit me so hard I fell forward off the bed grabbing the trash can and throwing up. I had started crying as I threw up stomach bial into the lined trash can. "oh my goddess, He knows I'm tainted. He knows I'm disgusting and a toy. Ill be kicked out. my mate will reject me." my thoughts were making my head swim and my body was swaying. Decker knelt down next to me picking me up in his arms. He sat on my bed holding me in his lap as I cried out sobbing the pain in my heart out. I was coughing and snoty and soaked in my tears. "Little one you are not tainted," he said with the most softess and most caring deep rich voice i had ever heard. It was full of live and protection and filled the pain in my heart with a warmth I had never felt. I cried again for the feeling of a fathers love I had never truly felt for a long time since my mother had died. He accepted me even though I had been used. Even though I'm not clean and I'm a waste of a wolf. " As I was saying," he continued while I cleaned my face with the tissues he put next to us on the bed. "You will not be returning to your old home until we know for certain you are in a safe place and a safe state of mind. I as Alpha of the Blood Moon pack will investigate this matter until I am satisfied. " I looked up at him in confusion about where I might go if I'm not at my house. Then the thought hit me like a truck. "Am I being thrown out," I asked so scared to breathe. "No," he said so fast that his body jumped making me jump with him. I smiled a little wondering where I would go. "We have the pack house. there are living quarters for the upper pack members. and guests. You will live at my house." He smiled down at me giving me a full hug and then sliding out from under me. the bed had a soft warmth that my body longed for in the cold room. "so are you taking me back?" He smiled as he said," No my son Brian will come back and pick you up when your released. you can stop by and get your stuff before you cmgo to the pack house. No one will be at the house when you go. I made then leVe until I say other wise And they are not to contact you until I say other wise. Your are under the Alphas protection and I will not allow ANYTHING to happen to you." He smiled as he finished and patted my head before he walked away. "Thank you," I said smiling back at him, feeling a little off having the Alpha of the pack pat my head. Heat rose up in my cheeks as I realized I was in the hospital room in a hospital gown I front of the Alpha. These stupid gowns don't cover enough of anything. Alpha Decker noticed the change in my mood and followed my darting eyes to my gown. He quickly looked away from me and said, " I will call you when my son is on his way to escourt you home. Oh and Don't worry I had your dad pack your clothes." Decker stood up from the chair. He was so tall and had wide shoulders. He was a large man with black hair and Pine needle green eyes. They were so beautiful he could entrance you with just his eyes not even using his Alpha power. I had always thought he was a softy but I was never aloud to get near him. My father had stopped bringing me to the pack parties because his new mate convinced him otherwise. A wave of sadness engulfed me at the realization hit me, "I can't go back," I sighed. I had more said it to myself then to Alpha Decker but he stopped at the door. "You can go back anytime you want. The perpetrator has been banished from the pack thrown out and turned to a rouge. I have informed neighboring packs of what has happened. No details of anyone were released except the perpetrators name. Yours is safe, and you are safe. You are not alone anymore. If you need anything come to me first." I raised my head and looked him in the eyes as he said the next part. "If you need ANYTHING, I will do my best to help you. Even if its my own son or the Alpha from the crescent Moon pack. I will not allow ANYONE to harm you. " He bowed slightly and left the room quietly. I sat there continplating what he had just said. "Why would I need protection from his son? Or the other Alpha? what did I do? oh no I just wanted to be left alone. What if they were on Williams side and thought I was trash too. William must have said something. I started to think quickly on how I could escape before Alpha Brian could meet me.

** Bzzz bzzzzz**

my phone had vibrated from a new text message. I had not saved this phone number.

"I am glad you seemed to feel better today. Brian is in his way over to walk you back. Please try and stay calm. don't try and run you don't have enough energy and you could make things worse. Stay calm and you will be fine. My son is quiet but he does not hate you. he is just not sure how to act. I apologize I did not teach him much in the way of socializing."

Decker alpha had known I was scared of his son. He says Brian is not mad at me but any Alpha would be mad to have a tainted wolf in his pack. As I looked around the room for my clothes I noticed a gift bag next to the sink in my room. Time for me to get dressed and move forward until I can find another way out.
