I sat on my couch, anxiety gnawing at me as I reached for my phone, desperately hoping that Bravyn would answer. But the dial tone mocked me, indicating that he was unreachable. My mind raced with worry, and I decided that I couldn't wait any longer. I needed to see him, to address the unspoken concerns that lingered between us. Without hesitation, I rose from the couch and made my way to the bathroom, feeling a rush of urgency. I took a quick shower, the cold water serving as a wake-up call to reality. As the droplets cascaded over my body, I reminded myself of the importance of this visit. The safety of our daughter was at stake and how to deal with Rex, was an issue yo be dealt with immediately. Dressing hastily but deliberately, I chose an outfit that exuded confidence and strength.
