Surprise surprise

The room was filled to capacity with people with gloomy faces. Everyone turned their heads to look at Dorie and Levi and just as expected Dorie's mom came to greet her first.

"(hugging Dorie) I'm happy you came dear"

"I couldn't miss grandma's funeral"

"could you come here for a sec (pulling her away from Levi).Why is he here? (referring to Levi). This... this is more of a family thing"

"he's my emotional support system"

"oh. I actually invited your childhood friend for that exact purpose"

"oh... what a surprise (awkward laugh)."

childhood who? I don't even know the guy. Why am I stuck in Dorie's body, its so torturous I feel like crying

"he's in the backyard"

"I'll make sure to meet him later"

"okay, I'm kinda busy with the preparations for the burial so I'm not sure I can talk to you for long"

Dorie then went back to Levi who was now outside siting on a stair.

"how was it... speaking to her"

"it actually went well"

"well that's good to hear"

"but she told me that your childhood friend is here"

At that exact moment a man in a black suit and black glasses appeared. His hair was long but it was slicked back into a bun leaving some strands on the front. His aura totally screamed mafia as he glared down at Levi with his seductive eyes under his lenses.

"um... hi Dorie and the other guy"

"hi... (smiling)"

His voice was so calm and sexy

now what, I don't even know what to say to this guy. Why do I have to live with the curse of being inside Dorie's body

why is he glaring at me like that but damn when did he start lookin like a hot emo mafia. I don't remember him looking like this its like he's someone different.

"I was wondering what took you so long to reach here I hope some people weren't dragging you down (referring to Levi)"

"oh... he's just my emotional support system"

"really? (smiling awkwardly). I think I hear mom calling"

Dorie exited the scene and left Levi and her childhood friend conversing.

"so what do they call you"

"Levi. and you"

"Alex"

I already feel disgusted just by looking at him. How did he even end up as Dorie's emotional support system? I'm pretty sure he was picked up from some trash somewhere.

I just had to be in Levi's body. I swear I can feel resentment sipping from his body. Just great, the guy hates me already
