Caden Stewart (POV)
I closed my laptop and leaned on my swivel chair. I closed my eyes and heaved a deep sigh. A cloud of memory about my fiancé - Sabrina, came into view. I cannot control myself smiling at the thought that I'll be marrying a kind woman like her. Throughout the day that I'm with her, I can't stop myself to be impressed and admire her personality. She is not like the woman I had in mind. She really is a wife material.
I came back to my senses when someone just barged in to my office. The smile I was wearing suddenly disappeared. "Hey, what are you doing here, Ike?" I asks as I stand from my seat.
I remember the girl. She was the one I slept with who burned a food in my kitchen.
She smiled and walk closer towards me. "Honey, I'm here to make you happy," she replied using her usual seductive tone. Honestly, it doesn't suit her. A trying hard woman trying to attract a predator.
"Come on. Why would I do that? I'm in my office doing my work," I replied.
"But it's already time to go home," she replied in her sweetest voice. I look at my wrist watch. It's already past six and I didn't even notice the time.
All of a sudden, a thought of Sabrina preparing food for me, Magie and Roger came into my mind. "Yeah, it's time to go home," I replied.
"You mean; you're coming with me?" she asks with a cheerful voice.
"No, I'm going home alone. And, I certainly don't need to bring home some random women in my house anymore," I replied.
"Is this because of the woman you're engage with?" she asks. I can sense annoyance in her voice.
"Yes. I'm already engaged. You know it, but why did you even come?"
"I thought you're not into it," she replied. I thought about it to. At first, I was not really into the marriage. I once thought of making my future wife's' life miserable. But everything changed when I came to know her and like her in a very short period of time. I didn't even expect that to happen.
"Yeah, but you're a man who sleep with women. That will never change."
"That was before my engagement and I don't have the intention to do it again."
"You will soon be back to who you are before you got engaged and I'll leave you my card for you to easily contact me," she replied as she put a small paper that has her contact number.
"No thanks. You better get out of my sight while I'm still good to you. You don't want to see me mad at you, right?" I seriously tell her. She was taken aback by what I said and step backwards. Yes, people don't want to see me mad because they think I'm dangerous.
"Now, get out!" I said and she immediately find her way out of the office.
I sat down on the swivel chair once she's out of my sight. I fix the files on my table and put them in my suit case. It's time to go home, I thought to myself.
I strode out of my office and saw Karen fixing her things. "Karen, why did you let Ike to barged in my office?"
"Sir, I was trying to stop her but she even pushed me aside causing me to fall down. That's when she grabs the chance to enter your office."
"But you're three weeks pregnant, are you alright?" I worriedly ask. Karen is just three weeks pregnant and that woman just pushed her like that. I must give that woman a lesson. Well, I'm the one to be blamed but she's acting like a perfect w***e.
"I'm alright sir. Don't worry about me.
I nodded when she said those words. Before I leave her, I give her an amount of money. It's still not pay day but I still give it because I know how hard for her to work despite the fact that she's pregnant. I may be arrogant to her at times but I will not let my employee down. I should atleast find a someone to take her place for a while.
I waited for the elevator for almost five minutes until I reach the parking area. I can't wait to see Sabrina. The attraction I have for her is really strong.
After a short ride from my office, I finally parked my car just outside my house. I'll let Roger park it to where it should be parked later. I climbed out of the car and headed inside the house.
I saw Magie and Roger watching at the living room. "Good evening guys," I greeted them to which they both replied with a cheerful smile. I walk straight to my room and took a shower and change my clothes.
After sometime, I headed downstairs. "Where is Sabrina?" I asked once I came face to face with Roger and Magie.
"She's at the back of the house having some tea," Magie replied.
"I see," I said as I nodded. I talk to them about how their day went by before going to see Sabrina. It's quite disrespectful if I just leave them without talking to them about their day.
Once I stepped at the back of the house, I saw her looking up the sky. Her back is facing me. As usual. She was too engrossed with her thoughts that she didn't notice me approaching her.
I leaned forward until my face is just inches away from her. "A penny of your thought?" I said. She turned her head towards me in shock. And just like that, our lips came in contact. I was also shock because I was not expecting that to happen. I did have a taste of her lips.
She immediately pulled herself away from me. Her face is red as tomato. "Are you really going to scare me to death all the time?" she asks as she look at me straight in the eye.
"That's not my intention. If I am to kill you, not by scaring you but by -"
"By what?" she interrupted making me smile teasingly at her but she just rolled her eyes on me.
That's not really my intention. I just want to get her attention but she always ends up being scared by my action. "Really? This is - hmm - I think the tenth time no more than tenth time you scared me to death!" she replied giving me a glare.
Well, I'm not afraid of her glare. She looks beautiful doing it. "You look much beautiful when you do that," I commented making her look away from me.
I silently smiled at her action. "Pssh,.. is that how you make those women kneel down for you?" she asks. Now, I wasn't expecting that.
"What do you mean kneel down?"
"Caden, you certainly know what I mean," she replied as she stared at me.
"I don't do anything to those women. They kneel down to me because of my handsomeness and my wealth. Ah, plus my charisma."
"You really need to carry your own chair huh?"
I laughed at her remark. Carrying my chair is one of the things I do when someone asks for my presence in an interview. "Hey, how about you? What do you do to make those men kneel down for you?" I ask back. Her smile that was on her face suddenly fades like I said something that will cause those smile fade away.
"I don't attract men. And, I never encounter any man kneeling in front of me," she replied.
"That's impossible. You're much more beautiful than those women I ask for a date," I replied. That's the fact. She's beautiful even if she's not wearing make-up and wearing those sexy outfits. She's beautiful even without anything in her.
"Nah, Caden Stewart is dating women that are not beautiful? That's impossible! Are you just dating them for you to - you know, sleep with you?" she asks.
"That's below the belt," I replied making her laugh. That's quite offensive but I need to take it since it's how she sees me.
"That was just a joke. I didn't know that it will affect you,"
"If I said yes, what will you do?"
"Nah, that's your life before. I hope you'll not do it now that you have me. Well, this relationship is just arranged but I hope you'll treat me as a woman that is not just used for bed," she replied making me quiet. How could I promise such thing to her? Can I even promise that thing?
"Can we not talk about that? Can we talk about our wedding?" I said, trying to divert the topic to which her smile appeared again.
"What about it?" she asked.
"Everything is already prepared. We are just waiting for the day of our wedding."
"I'm fully aware of that," she replied making me heave a sigh.
Yeah, she's fully aware of that since she was the one that our parents always bother for the preparation.
"Are you sure you want to marry me?" I asked, making her look at me with pure seriousness.
Silence filled the atmosphere. It was after a minute that she finally answered my question. "I'm not really sure about this. Can I be honest with you?" she said not even giving me a glance.
"Come on," I replied as I focuses on her.
I hear her heaved a sigh. "I really don't know," she simply replied. I know that she's trying to control her words and I truly respect that. I'll just wait for her to tell me everything.
I'll just wait for the day that we will tie the knot to let her tell me what she has in mind.
Sabrina Meyers (POV)
My hands are shaking as I'm standing in front of this church. Yeah right, I'm in front of a church. Today is the day that I'll be marrying Caden. I bit my lower lip. "Relax darling. It's just your wedding day," says my mother.
"Being nervous is just normal," seconds my father.
I just nodded as a response. "Okay, the ceremony is going to start," says my dad.
After waiting for more than an hour, the door of the church has finally opened. My parents are on my side. I can hear the music as I started to walk down the aisle.
I can feel pair of eyes watching me. It took me time to reach where Caden is standing. "Take good care of my daughter young man," says my father as he taps Cadens shoulder.
"Yes sir," I hear him say. I hooked my arms to his and we made it to the place we are intended to be.
"Nervous aren't we?" he whispered making me look at him.
"Since I arrived," I replied making him smile. He just gives me a nod before we face the priest infront of us.
When we are facing the priest, my hands started shaking again. "We are here today to witness how this couple embraces the life together and express their love infront of everyone," says the priest.
The priest started the ceremony. When it's our time to say our vows, a memory of me and Luke crosses my mind. What if he's the one standing in front of me? I suddenly shake my head. How could I even think about him.
"Sabrina Meyers, starting today you are now part of my life. I promise to be there for you in times of happiness or in sadness. As they say, for better or for worst. Till death do us part," says Caden before putting the ring on my finger.
"Caden Stewart, take this ring as a symbol that we are going to be one. I will always be there for you for better or for worst. I promise to be faithful to you until death do us part," I said before putting the ring on his finger.
When the priest pronounced us husband and wife, Caden lifted my veil. I find myself staring at his brown eyes. He leaned forward and kissed me. When he is done, I hear the audience clapping. I can tell that by now, my face reddened. I want to shout at them but I can't ruin the day by doing it.
We walked down the aisle, holding hands until we reach the bridal car. Caden helped me get in the car. When we are finally inside, he started the engine and drive off the street. We are heading to where the reception is. It took us thirty minutes to reach the destination. Glad to say that our families and friends are already there including a bunch of reporters.
"How come our parents and guests are already here?" I asked.
Caden smiled at me. "Well, I wanted to have time with you, so I decided to follow a different route. And besides, I wanted us to be the center of attention. The last one to be here are the main character," he replied making me shake my head. He really is something.
Caden guided me towards the intended seat for us. Once we are sitting, the program started. We did all the rituals, I may say. From cutting our wedding cake, tossing a wine and even dancing as a couple. All of this, we all did for the sake of the people that were invited.
Our friends, visitors and families congratulated us for the last time before we finally decided to call it a night. Yeah right, we didn't notice the time. We bod goodbye to our guests and our parents before living the place.
When we reach the mansion, we were met by Magie and Roger. They came home after the wedding ceremony. We told them to stay but they just told us that they'll just be waiting for us here and fix all the things that we need.
"Caden, why don't you carry your wife?" says Magie when they saw us.
"Nah, she's quite heavy wearing that gown," he replied pointing at my gown.
"It's not that heavy Caden. Why can't you just carry me to my room," I tell him teasingly making him roll his eyes to me. In just a swift, I'm now carried by him.
Magie was surprised for what Caden did. "Magie, Roger, you can now have a rest. We can handle this," he said. Magie nodded at him. Roger on the other hand watch us as we ascend the stairs.
"It's not necessary for you to carry me."
"That's quite fun. Carrying my wife after the ceremony reminds me of the fact that I'm actually married," he replied making me shake my head.
"Fine. Thank you," I replied.
"You sure you're okay with this set up?" asks Caden as we reach my room which is just beside his room.
"Thank you," I replied as he puts me down on my bed. "Yeah, this is better. We've been talking about this right?" I continued.
We've been discussing about our possible set up after the wedding and we came up with this kind of idea. "You can always come to my room if you change your mind," he said, trying to seduce me.
"Enough of being naughty. I'm really okay with this set up."
"Okay. Let me just explain it to our parents if they get to discover about this," he replied using his usual serious tone.
"Hmm, thank you," I replied.
He nodded. "I'll go to my room," he said before turning on his heel.
I waited for him to close the door before I walk towards the mirror. I sat down in front of it and started taking off my make-up. It took me almost half an hour before I finally removed my make-up. I started to take my hair pins off my hair. After I'm done, I proceeded on taking off my gown. I was having a hard time to undress because I cannot reach the zipper. I tried even more until I give up. I heaved a deep sigh. What can I do to take of my gown?
I was about to call for Magie when I feel someone's presence behind me. I looked up and our eyes connected at the mirror.
"Having a hard time to undress huh?" he said as he wears that smirk.
"Yeah, I was about to call for Magie," I replied.
"I see, but she's already asleep. Do you think she'll come?"
"Oh, o-okay. I'll just sleep with this gown."
The next thing he did made me feel goose bumps. He's hugging me from the back. His chin is now on my right shoulder. His eyes are still fixed on mine. "Caden, what do you think you're doing?"
"You look beautiful wearing this gown," he said before he kissed me on my shoulder.
"Th-thank you," I replied.
He steps back a little to make a distance from me. "Let me help you get rid of this zipper," he suddenly said. I just stayed quiet as he did the thing. I can feel his finger on my skin as he unzips my gown. I tried to look at something but on the mirror. I don't know but it took him long time to unzip my gown and I'm feeling uncomfortable. "Done," he announced.
I turned to face him. "Thank you," I replied. He just nodded.
"I'll be waiting for you in my office," he said.
"What? Are we not going to rest first?" I asked making him shake his head.
"Babe, I want you to have a rest but I want to tell you about something," he replied.
"Caden... Let me sleep. Let's just talk tomorrow," I replied as I pouted. Yes, I need to try and use my hidden charm. I'm really tired.
All of a sudden, he walks closer and closer to me until my back hit the wall. "Caden, what are you doing?" I curiously asks.
"What if I tell you that I finally changed my mind. I want you to stay in my room," he whispers in my ear.
I tried to push him away but he is just too strong for me. I thought of him to be an arrogant person just like those articles I've been reading about him but he is acting the opposite way. "Nah, let's just follow what we've discussed before the wedding."
Instead of answering me, he leaned forward and give me a kiss on my forehead. We stayed like that for I think a minute before he pulled himself away from me. "Feel free to go to my room if you change your mind," he said to which I nodded.
'You really agreed? Meaning you wanted to actually stay in his room? You b***h!" A part of my brain said.
'Nah, no! I just nodded to let the discussion end!' answers another part of my brain.
"Okay. You can have your time to change. I'll just talk to you tomorrow," he said.
"Hmm," I simply replied. He pulled me for a hug and kiss me again on my forehead before he went out of my room. I immediately locked the door for him not enter again just like what he did a while ago.
