Revelations.

*author note* dear readers allow me to start this chapter with an apology I have been struggling with depression and my characters weren't speaking to me, so I couldn't tell their story. I have not abandoned my book, and will get chapters out as quickly as possible. Please bear with me.

**Fenrir POV **

I'm woken by a phone call, I check my phone its Doctor Lynn. "Yes Lynn?"

"Alpha, i have the test results back, if you could please come to my office at your earliest convenience to discuss what I found" Lynn says hesitantly.

"That bad huh? " I asked

"It's... well, just come to my office please" she says

"alright, I'll be there in about 90 minutes" I say and hand up

I check my phone and called Emily and got her updates before, heading into the bathroom to shave and brush my teeth, then throw on a comfortable pair of boot cut stronewash jeans and a black button down tailored shirt.

heading out to the garage the jeep i used last night is cleaned and back in place so I decided to use it again, i jump in and take off hospital, after parking i head right into doctor Lynn's office. "Lynn." I greet her taking a seat.

"Alpha, I have the results of the girls tests and it's not pretty" she says with a heavy sigh. "she has sustained years of abuse, s****l and physical, probably mental and emotional abuse as well. she's also been heavily drugged, medicated, and.....poisoned. i have also confirmed that she's Alpha ranked. where do you want to start?"

I rub my face. "well s****l abuse is pretty self explanatory let's skip that, and start with the physical abuse"

"i can't completely gloss over it but I'll keep it to the minimum, she has been given heat inducers, and prenatal vitamins, though she's never given been pregnant as fast as I can tell, at the very least she's never given birth, I suspect someone was trying to use her as a breeder." Lynn explains.

"being Alpha ranked attempted forced breeding makes sense, but that's just monstrous behavior. correct me if I'm wrong, but even with heat inducers, she unmarked she wolfs won't go into heat, unless they have been mated by their mate at least once" I say

"that's mostly correct, but she does have some male werewolf venom in her system someone tried to mark her fairly recently within the last few days, but her body resisted the marking weather consciously or subconsciously she rejected whoever tried to mark her" Lynn tell me and I have to school my features, as I'm pretty sure this girl is my mate, and this conversation is really fueling my rage and that of Tor.

"all the more reason to keep her presence here off the books, the Iron Wolf Pack Alpha is already calling around about a she wolf with her description" I sigh "let's move on, tell me about the physical abuse" I lean back in the chair and rub my forehead.

"well she's got a number of healing and healed bone fractures, nothing that won't correct itself after a proper shift once the drugs are out of her system, of course that's assuming she can fully shift......" Lynn groaned "but she's got broken fingers, ribs, cracked vertebrae, several breaks in the bones in her arms, legs and feet, a few healed skull fractures, and damaged joints"

I rub my face with both hands and groan. "you said she was poisoned, right, so im guessing wolfsbane. that's why she's not healing properly."

Lynn turns her computer screen so i can see it as she talks. "well, that's part of it, but also silver nitrate, and based on the results of her bloodwork, she's been being regularly dosed with both for years, also propofol, pentobarbital, thiopental, midazolam, ketamine, morphine and trace amounts of several other pharmaceuticals."

"uh huh, so I understand wolfsbane and silver nitrate, to suppress her wolf, but what's all that other stuff?" I say rubbing the back off my head

" hospital grade pharmaceuticals used to induce and maintain medical comas, and her levels are very high, twice the dose necessary for a human her size and weight. honestly Alpha, she's got enough of these drugs in her system right now to bring down you, and that's not including the cafentanil from the tranquilizer dart the beta hit her with" Lynn explains

"well, s**t" I say rubbing my forehead "what's the treatment plan, like the immediate one, because im sure the long-term plan is something that will have to be determined once she's not drugged up with half the pharmacy."

"well, the good news is she's not longer in a partially shifted state, she fully reverted to human form a few hours after you brought her in. but currently she is healing like a human, which brings me to a request" Lynn tells me

"a request huh, what's up?" I questioned

"I'd like your permission to rush order a dialysis machine, we can use it to preform what's called an extracorpeal removal, on the girl, and remove most of the substances from her blood, most importantly the wolfsbane and silver nitrate, we should be able to remove most of the other pharmaceuticals as well." Lynn explains

I lean back in the chair and rub my chin. "I dont know to much about medical practices, but isn't dialysis what they use to treat humans with kidney failure?"

"well yes, among other things, a dialysis machine pulls the blood out of your body, cleans it by running it through filter materials, removing waste products, extra fluids and things, essentially acting as an artificial kidney, only doing it much faster then your kidney is capable of doing it. with the machine I could have almost everything out of her system in a few days compared to the few weeks we are currently looking at." Lynn explains

"get with Beta Marlene and Gamma Emily, order it through one of the business accounts so it can't be easily traced to the pack, and pay whatever cost to have it overnighted." I say

"yes Alpha, do you want to go down and see her?" Lynn asks

"yes and no" I admit with a heavy sigh "naturally this is confidential and you aren't allowed to speak of it, but both Tor and I, suspect that girl is our mate, but her scent is too muddy to know for sure." I explain

"but given an alpha's possessive nature and protective instincts seeing her like that again could send you into a rage" Lynn closed her eyes and rubbed her temples. "Great, I potentially have the packs Luna, imprisoned in my hospital, drugged up, severely abused and massively malnourished. not that I needed the extra motivation to care for her, but I've certainly got it now. have you told High Priestess Anderson about this yet?"

"no, I have not told my grandmother anything yet, I'm not even sure where to start, or if I even should before I know for sure if the girl is my mate or not" I say quickly.

"i swear to the moon goddess, Alpha. you go tell that woman today, i will not cover for you if that woman storms in here, so help me, I will rat you out in a heart beat, that woman terrifies me, I remember how she reacted when you're father forgot to tell her your mother was in labor with you, until 2 hours after you were born." Lynn says jabbing a finger in my direction

I raise my hands in mock defense, Lynn being one of a few pack members I'd let speak to me in this manner. "alright alright, I'll talk to her later today, mostly because I know your right, if the girl turns out to be my mate and she knows I kept this from her.... well yeah, let's not go that route" I chuckle
