Chapter Twenty-Seven Boone A beeping sound woke me, and I rolled my head to the side, confused about where I was. “What the hell?” I asked abruptly as I sat up. The simple act of speaking and moving sent a sharp pain through my head. “Take it easy, Mr. Reeves,” a man’s voice reached me from across the room.
