3 Evans dropped them off at the edge of the town square, by the cafe with the green tablecloths, which was now practically empty. The square itself was much emptier now too, and the tourists were much more apparent. Blonde women in summer dresses, their legs a bluish-white from the long winter. Blond men in socks and sandals. Those stood out the most. There were others too, ones that blended in more easily otherwise, but were now more obvious by their disregard of the Italian eating schedule. Lunchtime in Italy was from twelve to three, dinner time from seven to eleven, sometimes midnight, and there was no meal to be gotten outside those hours, especially not in a small town like this one.
