Back at the base, Mark instructed Williams to print out the photos he’d taken and alert Mia and Harrison that he was ready to make his report. Then he went to his little room to change back into his uniform and pack his bag.
Mia and Colonel Harrison were already waiting in the conference room when he returned. Williams was there too, placing the photos he just printed on the desk. Mark was glad they hadn’t invited Private Evans to the meeting, he was much too young to experience what was about to happen.
