I take a moment, close my eyes and just breathe. I know that this is where my life begins, where changes will be made. Today I find myself, my true self. I will always be the little girl my parents, or I guess I can say my non-biological parents or maybe my adoptive parents? I don't know how to address them anymore. Don't get me wrong, they will always be my parents, but all I can think about is the lies that surround my childhood.
