I hate the fact everyone wants to keep me protected. I feel obligated to be there, especially when I know a fight could break out over me. I waited in Gunner's office, not exactly where I was told to wait, but I needed to look out the window. I could see from a distance the warriors searching the land. I know it would be ignorant of me to give myself away, especially after I am fully mated with Gunner, it would only harm us to separate. But I can’t shake the feeling of guilt because of the fact I put my pack at risk daily. My wolf is going stir-crazy at the thought of our mate out there possibly fighting. We both know a fight never broke out, but it doesn’t mean it won’t. I began pacing the room as Jade rushed in.
