Lilian found it hard and difficult to catch her breath and watch as this tall figure cover her mouth in a swift and place his index finger on his lips indicating that she should keep quiet. Only then did Lilian understand that this is not one of Perry's men and he seems to have come for her rescue. But what could he be doing at this very late hour of the night? Sure Lilian saw the car and knows whose person's car it is, it none other than Perry Jerome's. So she follow this stranger up to a place of about eight hundred meters away from her home.

They got to a Bugatti Divo parked, and he helped her open the co-pilot's door and closed it when she gets in and sit, then he open the passenger's seat behind and drop her bag. Then turn to the driver's seat and drive away, only then did Lilian sigh in relief and look at the cold looking handsome man beside her and said, thank you Sir for saving me, I owe you this favor today and if there's a way I can repay you, please state your condition.

Derek sneer and look at her as he ask her back instead, and how did you intend to repay me? Lilian bit her lower lip and look down at her fidgety fingers, and take a deep breath as she said, even though she's not sure, because seeing the car that this person is driving it's not everybody that can drive it. But she said, I can pay you money and you name your price. Derek sniff a laugh and focus in is driving but didn't said anything, as Lilian doubt what to do now.

Derek look at her from the corner of his eyes and wonder what is going on? Him and his brother are turning twenty-seven years next month and are yet to find their moon goddess' gifted mate, but this evening made it the fifth times that either him or his twin brother Cayden will have a whiff of her, in the same area he saved Lilian, but her scent will disappear in a flash.

They even consulted the old witch Meredith and Simon the elder and Skylar the healer, they all said that there's a particular task that the moon goddess assigned and is expecting them to accomplish only then shall they meet their mate. Lilian bit her lips hard with a dull face as she look at him pleading almost with tears which made Derek's heart shudder and melt. Lilian said, Sir can you please take me outside this country? Please I'm begging you. I won't be able to escape now, he owns the country. Derek look surprised and ask, and who is this person, how did you provoke such a powerful person? Lilian sob bitterly as she shake her head and said, his father is Morgan Jerome.

Derek look at her in surprised, who doesn't know Perry Jerome, a very ruthless and merciless mafia, not only that he is the notorious playboy. As he scrutinizes Lilian again and thought, you're capable to must have be able to attract this playboy that makes him to even look at you twice. to herself. This made Derek have a different perspective about Lilian. Then he calmly ask, where do you want me to take you to? Lilian was lost for some moments, thinking that she heard wrongly. Derek raise his brow and look at her and quickly focus on the highway and ask, or have you changed your mind? Lilian snap out of her daze and quickly shake her head and said, please just take me outside Avaldos.

Derek said, outside Avaldos city is California and you will not be allow entry to the State. Lilian nods and said, I know you can help pass the boundary. Derek said, you will still be deported. Lilian shake her head and said, I'm an indigenous of the State. Derek take a deep breath, but he cannot tell why he is doing this and surprisingly even his wolf Riggs wasn't against it, when he couldn't find his mate and felt disappointed.

Riggs chuckle and said, what are you saying? At least I was lucky enough to have a whiff of her scent, I'm calm. But for you helping this lady here, can I dissuade you not to? Well as long as you aren't doing anything to betray our mate, I won't say anything. Derek chuckle and said, alright I won't.
