CHAPTER FIFTEENLindsey warmed up on a cross-town bus ride, then froze walking up Second Avenue looking for the restaurant Petrus Berry had suggested. He stopped at a candy store and picked up a copy of the Post. There was nothing on the murders of Johnny Thieu Ng and Bilbo Sax. They must be too ordinary for New York. Or maybe nobody had got any good photos of the corpses dangling from the water pipes, and without the pictures, the editor had decided that nobody would bother to read the story. After another half block Lindsey spotted the restaurant. It was a dark, cavernous place with a wooden sign outside announcing its name as the Bear Garden.
