Chapter 74

Jake’s POV,

She always cooked us food no matter how tired she was. She still had love towards dad. She tried her best in the hard times. She believes that it was the house that gave her enough strength to resist all the difficulties and motivated her to do better. She still feels that dad is watching us from somewhere and is happy seeing her in their home.

I can't convince her and I think I shouldn't do that either. It's her decision so as her daughter I should support her as best as I can.

Soon mom came and opened the door for me. She was all happy and smiling. She hugged me and said, "oh sweety I am very happy that you made it. I was waiting for you to spend more time with us. Come in your brother is very excited to see you. He was sad that he couldn't meet you the last time you came.

We won't let you sleep tonight we are going talk all night tonight", she said and pulled my inside the living room.

The decor had changed a bit since the last time I visited. It is more vibrant than before. It used to be more achromatic before. It had lots of pictures of us framed on the walls and shelves. On one wall there is a big cupboard with huge number of books in it. I looked at the book shelf. It had the recipe book I published last year.

It also had the books I use to read when I lived here.

"I remember when you bought this book, you were really inspired you use to tell me about the inspirational quotes you learnt from it. You brother seems to like it as well" my mom said seeing the book in my hand.

I was talking with my mom when i saw cristian coming from his room. He came and hugged me. His height is growing enormously.

It wasn't long ago when he used to fit in my hug but now he is double the size I am and I am not skinny at all. He is really tall and built.

"Looks like someone is getting more and more handsome. Girls must have been swooning over you my little brother. I hope you don't break someone's heart." I teased him.

"Oh well, you brother is just as shy as you are when it comes to love and dating. Many girls try to pursue him but he is too cold to them, or rather I would say shy." My mom told me.

"It's okay mom, he will take courage when he actually finds someone he truly loves. And brother make sure you hold on to the person you truly love. Don't hurt her. You are into girls right? It's fine if it is guys too but don't hide it from me. We will support you. I told mom and asked Cristian.

"Oh common you know i am into girls. But i still don't have anyone I think I can love. All the girls in my school like me is mostly because they know I am your brother." Cristian said.

"Okay now let's resume this conversation in the kitchen." Mom said moving to the kitchen.

"Sit on the table, I'll bring the food." She said and went inside the kitchen.
