Jake’s POV
“Jake what are you doing?” Emily followed me as I bring back a cup of water and gave it to me. “Jake!!” she followed even when I walked away from them. “Ask them, didn’t you see, they’re hiding something.”
“I know.” I turned back, paused. “I know they are hiding something, I know that, okay.” My voice full of frustrated beads choking my neck. “Look I'm sorry." I cooled myself. “I know they’re hiding something from me. but as much I know them, I know they’ve never going to tell me. they still think I'm a kid, and whatever I do, they will never change feeling that about me.”
“So, what do we do next? How do we find out?”
“We go see Carmen.”
“She won't let us in her house again.”
“I know she won't, that is why we are not meeting her there.”
