A WEEK LATER, Ben had introduced me to the delights of dining alfresco, and I saw the strawberry yogurt on the breakfast table in a whole new light.
“Are you looking at flats again today?” Roxy asked.
“No, we’ve already found one.”
“The Camden place?”
“Yes.”
Albany House had every luxury we could ask for but one: our own space. After we’d accidentally walked in on Emmy and Black in the hallway, Ben and I agreed we’d like a little place of our own, and once we’d viewed a couple of unsuitable properties, Emmy suggested the flat I’d originally shared with her in Camden. Turned out she owned the whole building and rented it out. We planned to move in once we got back from visiting Sofia in Virginia, and Ben would start his new job soon after that.
