Morning comes blasting sunlight into the bedroom. Waking, I stretch, pleasantly sore from the night before. I look to the right of me expecting to see Irv.  He isn't there.  I sit up, listening for any signs of him being in the house. Nothing. "Well, where the hell did he go?" I ask myself aloud. I check my phone. Maybe there is a message from him, letting me know what's going on. Nope. No text. No voicemail. Ok. Ok. Not gonna freak. I am sure there is a reason for him not being here and not telling me about it.  I swing my legs out of bed, planting my feet on the sun-warmed hardwood floors.
