Branka's POV
My heartbeat has been irregular since I came back inside the kitchen unnoticed, which I was thankful for. I didn't want to call any more attention to myself than I already did tonight.
There was literally nothing much to do anymore. The food had been served and servers had already taken it to the banquet hall. The kitchen was almost empty and there was no Jessica in sight, which I was thankful for.
I don't think I have it in me to deal with that lady right now. I was packing up the dishes that were dirty when I suddenly felt hands grab me from behind. I screamed, but my mouth was covered, so the stream was muffled.
“Arghrr….” I fought hard. But nothing beats strength.
“Don't fight it, Branks. I know you want this too. Don't you?” I shook my head frantically against his chest. It was Damon. I could never forget his scratchy voice, and he was the only one that called me Branks.
“Don't say that. I've seen the way you look at me. Like you want me or something. So, I'll do the honors.” He said, touching my body the way he wanted. Tears sprang out in my eyes and started rolling down.
Out of all the ways I thought I'd end this evening, this was not it. I looked around the kitchen, and the people that were there formerly were nowhere to be found. It was just us.
“I don't want you.” I tried to get out when he let my mouth go, turning me to him. I already had a feeling that something like this would happen soon. I just knew it.
“Oh, please. Don't give me any of that coy attitude. I don't know why the alpha wants you. But, before he gets to you, I'll tap in, then his expectation that you'd be a virgin will be gone. Maybe he'd kill you then. When he gets to know that you have given yourself to someone else,” Looking at him now, he looked and smelled like he was drunk. His hands were strong on my waist.
Moving them up, he grabbed my breasts painfully.
“I'd always wanted to touch them.” I struggled to slap his hands off me.
“Leave me….me alone. P.. please. D..don't do this.” I begged.
I heard it before I felt it. The sound resonated through the kitchen, then my cheeks burned.
“You obviously like it rough. For you to be begging me now.” He said, tearing away the flimsy clothes I had on. He hit me again when I tried to cover myself.
His hand went in between my legs to cup me. I felt a surge of power then, with all my strength I pushed him away. I didn't think it would work, but it actually did.
“Let me go, you bastard!” I screamed. Trying to cover my body with the tattered clothes I had, I scrambled away from him. He stayed on the ground where he was.
“You're nothing, you know? So, I don't get why Dorian is so obsessed with you. Why won't he allow us to play around with you.” He rambled out.
“Just because I'm not on the same level with all of you does not mean that I get to be your b***h or always at your beck and call. You've all taken so much from me already, now you want to take the last thing that belongs to me? I won't let you. You hear me? I'll kill you and wait beside your dead body to be killed.” I said in a calm voice I was not expecting.
He stood up, staggering as he did so.
“You think you can hurt me?” He slurred out. Only the goddess knows what he's taken to allow him to be like this. I know nothing really knocks out a werewolf. But for him to be like this, he must have taken something really strong.
I don't care though. I brandished the knife in front of me, as if to defend myself. I grabbed it from the vanity when I kicked him off.
“You can try me.” I said, holding it tight in front of me.
He was about to come for me again, when someone burst in.
“Beta, you need to come now.” It was a male omega. He looked like he was sent running here to call him. I sighed in relief. He looked in my direction and down at my body to see how I looked.
He had no hint of sympathy in them. In fact, he looked like he'd do malicious things to me if he was not in a hurry. I turned away to hide myself.
“Why?” Damon asked.
“The Alpha king is asking to see everyone old enough in the pack right now.” Damon's eyes widened in shock and started going out.
“f**k. Why now?” He said and started arranging himself in ways he can.
He was about stepping out when he turned to me and said,
“This is not over.”
Oh, you have no idea how much this is over.
I'm leaving this pack tonight. I don't care how. But I'm leaving. I don't bother going since I know that will annoy Alpha Dorian.
I slipped out through the back door to my room. When I entered, I brought out a backpack from under the bed and started putting all of my meager belongings inside. Not long after, I was done. I changed into another set of clothing.
I was about to step out when I saw the coat I kept on my bed earlier. I debated for a while if I should take it or not.
Dashing forward, I took it and kept it in the bag. I might as well have something that will keep me warm instead of freezing to death out there.
When I was done, I walked briskly to the end of the hall as I pushed the small gate that I was praying would be open. I clicked and opened. I sighed in relief when it opened.
The cold air slapped me straight in the face as soon as I stepped out. I started running through the unfamiliar path. But I knew I'd break out soon.
After like fifteen minutes of running, an alarm suddenly blared out. My eyes widened and I came to an abrupt stop. That thing only comes on when there's an emergency.
Did they know I've gone already?
