Training and a special occasion

"Morning love." Klaus said, "sleep well?". "Morning to you too Klaus." Clarke said. "Are you ready for your first lesson?" Klaus asked whilst transforming. She seemed confused. "Come on now, join me." he said. Knowing it must be some kind of lesson, she transformed. "Just stay still love." he said as he walked up to her. Without blinking she watched his every move. "Relax Clarke, you reek of fear." he said. "Let's go." he continued while running off. When she caught up, he was watching a herd of zebra. "Chase or kill?" he asked. Uncertain she replied, "Chase." "Alright then, circle 'round and chase them to me. I'll catch and kill." he said. Moments later they were done feeding. "You see, it's not so bad to be in the company of another hybrid. Why did you come here with me yesterday?" Klaus asked. "Well, I've been alone for years, hunted for most of it and forced to fight for survival. Learning about the m******e on my pack, I thought it could be of use that you teach me some things. And you - how did your roar turn me human against my will?" she asked. "It's an alpha ability." Klaus replied, "It can even forcefully turn you hybrid, but I assure you, turning you human was not my goal. I merely wanted to save the human's life, but because you've never been challenged, the wolf in you totally submitted. Come, let's go meet some hybrids." he continued. "Wait..." she yelled. "Don't worry love, I'll bring them to you." Klaus said. When they arrived back at her den she sensed a few hybrids nearby. "You know it is my pack and you know they mean you no harm. Just greet them like I did you." he said. She took a deep breath and walked over to them. She greeted each one cautiously. Her body language clearly indicating the expectance of a bad move. "That's enough, leave us." Klaus said, "Ezra, please stay behind." he continued. "Clarke, this is Ezra." he said. "Ezra." she repeated, clearly thinking. "You knew my mother Hayley and my sister Kate. I saw you visiting several times. Although you never met me." she said. "What's going on?" Klaus asked. "I was her sister's lover. I knew Kate had a younger sister, but never met her." Ezra replied. Looking at Clarke he asked, "How did you know it was me?" "I recognized your scent." she replied. Clarke suddenly turned around. Hearing her heartbeat rising, Klaus asked, "Are you okay?". She silently stared at him. Then he realized, "You're craving human blood aren't you?" "Ezra, please go fetch her some." Klaus continued. "Klaus, I can't. I can't do it. I'm so consumed with anger. All I want is to rip humans apart and feed on their blood. I don't have control like you do." Clarke said. "Go inside and get dressed." Klaus said. "What?" she asked. "You heard me. Now, before I make you." he replied. So she did as he asked. She came out and asked, "Now what? Why are we human again?" "Because you're going to hit me." he replied. "NO!" she said. "Clarke just hit me." he ordered. "I will do no such thing." she said. "Fine, then I'll just hit you." he said as he threw her meters away. She landed with her back against a tree. "Ouch, what was that for?" Clarke asked a bit confused. "You're consumed with anger. You need an outlet and I'm going to give you one which does not result in killing humans. Fight me." Klaus said. They scrambled around for a short while and then she had him pinned to the ground. Just then Ezra arrived back. She jumped over to him, grabbed the bloodbag and devoured the blood in one gulp. Klaus unexpectedly kicked her legs out from under her and shoved his hand into her chest saying, "Never turn your back on the enemy, love." He gently removed his hand. She gasped for air and touched her chest as the wound healed. He offered his hand and helped her to her feet. The shock from what Klaus did actually calmed her down. "What happened to you?" Ezra asked. "Everything just got too much. I've been searching years for my family, I thought they were human and I was the only one of my kind. Then in 2 days I find out that there are more hybrids, my family were hybrids and murdered and I meet someone else who knew them." Clarke replied. "Just ask if you want to know something about them. I'll tell you everything I know." Ezra said. Klaus and Ezra left for the den. Clarke returned to her den for a nap. Later that day she awoke and walked down to the river. To her surprise Klaus was there. "Any reason for your lingering stare?" he asked. "I've just never...sorry." Clarke said shyly. "Don't be." he said. He got out and put a towel around his waiste. Facinated she walked up to him, touched his chest and circled him. "Please teach me to fight, to defend and to have control?" she asked him, "Since my return could put me in danger as well as the pack." she continued. Over the next few weeks she was properly socialized with the other hybrids of Klaus's pack so she could comfortably be in their presence. She mastered fighting, compulsion, mind jumping and hunting in a pack. Most importantly she was also taught to control her blood lust by using bloodbags. "Remember, no matter how well trained you are, everyone still has weaknesses." Klaus said. "Well then, I believe you are ready to meet the humans of the pack." he continued. She got up and followed him. "Also remember that you're a predator and not a killer." Klaus said. He was taking her to his den again. As they entered the territory she could smell blood everywhere. Her heart was racing and she was drooling. This was a serious moment - a blood lust hybrid surrounded by a group of humans. Klaus was infront of her carefully watching and ready to intervene if necessary. She slowly walked around. Tensly looking at everyone and then over to Klaus. Her brown eyes turning ice blue, she nodded at him. His green eyes turning red, he nodded back. "I trust you and if you trust them, I'll bring them no harm." Clarke said. She was finally controlling her lust. Klaus gave her a tour of the den. "I'm proud of you." Klaus said to Clarke. "I couldn't have done it without you." she replied. They hanged out for a little bit. Then she said, "I'll be on my way now. Thanks for a nice evening." "You too, see you tomorrow." he replied. "Actually tomorrow is a occasion that I've spent alone for years." she quickly said. "Might I ask the occasion?" Klaus replied. Reluctantly she said, "It's my birthday." and walked off. Just before midnight Clarke heard cracking leaves outside. Sniffing the the air she caught Klaus's scent. She went outside. Surprised she asked, "What are you doing here?". "It's not tomorrow yet, love." Klaus replied. They walked off to where they had a clear view of the moon. "Your parents are watching over you and would be so proud of the person you've become." he continued. She took the tiny box from him and opened the lid. It was a necklace. A crescent moon on top of a star. "It was the Marshalls' pack symbol. Please don't spend tomorrow alone. You have a new pack now. One that will embrace every moment with you. You are apart of the phoenix pack now." Klaus said. "Thanks for the gift, it's beautiful, but I just want a normal day with no celebrations." she replied. "No celebrations we can do. Here, let me put it on for you." he said. She moved her long black hair to one side over her shoulder as he put the necklace on. "Look, a shooting star, make a wish." he said as he pointed to the sky. There was a moment of silence. "It's midnight, happy birthday." Klaus said, "Let me get going.". "Thank you, see you later." Clarke replied. He gave her a kiss on the forehead and walked off. Later that morning she went to their den. "Clarke, I'm so glad you came." Klaus said. "I believe my days of being alone has come to an end." she said smiling. So they had a fun day with games, hunting and as the night drew nearer, he asked her for a dance. "I would love to, but I have no idea how to dance." Clarke replied. So he taught her how to dance a bit. They grew rather fond of each other by the day. She was denying the feelings as she didn't understand them and he did not want to make her feel pressure. They just went with the flow. Eventhough she was comfortable with everyone, she still slept at her own den. One night Clarke got attacked at her den. She roared in hope to scare him off, but was shot with a sedative. Hearing her roar, Klaus and the pack ran to her den, but they were too late. She was gone.
