Vani's POV
" Dad have you seen him" I asked my dad who was busy attending some other guests.
"No, dear but i talked to him on phone, he said that he will be here soon".
My dad said with small smile on his face.
"At what time exactly did you talked to him"
I asked my dad folding my hands in front of chest in an investigating tone because i know my father, he will do anything to save that stupid from me because he is a good boy infront of my father.
"umm around ummm" my dad starting talking whlie thinking of an exact time but I cut him off.
"Dad how many times I have told you, don't take his side." I said with my voice a little louder so that he can understand this and then I left to check on other things.
I was checking the decorations when suddenly my phone rang and I took it out from my pouch which i have tied up on my waist because Iam wearing a lehenga and it doesn't have a pocket.
Iam wearing a sleeveless navy blue lehenga with golden work on it and net dupatta.(veil) With a light makeup out of which my baby pink lipstick and mascara are clearly showing. Beacuse they must!
My hair is staright and i like them straight but my sister wanted me to curl them so I curled them but just on the ends. I would be looking like a joker by now if had curled all my hair, thankgod i didn't.
Today is shreya's engagement, she is Rishi's younger sister and Rishi is my best friend, We have been together since childhood and to be honest I can't survive without him.
He makes me laugh when Iam sad, understands me, I share everything with him and he never judges me, just seeing him lightens my mood.
To be honest i can't think of a life without him!
But sometimes that bastard makes me so cranky, I mean whats more important than his own sister's engagement.
The phone ring brought me back from my thoughts and i saw the caller Id and it was the most expected person, I picked up the call and started yelling without giving him a chance to speak,
" Are you out of you mind?
Are you stupid? You jerk! Where the hell are you?
Its your sister's engagement for godsakes". Then suddenly someone tapped my shoulder but i ingnored it because Iam busy in scolding him.
"The groom will be here soon, don't you have any sense of responsibility Rishi,"
Someone again tapped my shoulder but I again ignored it and continued my lecture, when it happened the third time I got really irritated and I turn around with a jerk but after seeing the person infront of me I somehow lost my balance and was about to fall but a strong pair of arms held me by me waist. It was him, stupid! Someday I will surely kill him.
" someone was missing me?"
He said still holding me in his arms and giving me one of his beautiful smirks. I got out of his hold and pushed him away.
" are you mad? You scared me!
When did you get here?"
"when you were busy scolding someone"
He said making a childish face with a pout. Oh god! He is so cute.
"hey guess what?" he said.
"What?" I asked with a little curiosity
He made a really happy face and said,
" I cracked the deal"
"really"? I couldn't believe it, there's a deal that he had been working on for more than 3 years and now his hardwork has finally paid off, I was really happy and I immediately hugged him and congratulated him.
" so now we'll have 2 things to celebrate today,
first : Shreya's engagement!
Second : your deal."
" oh yeah Btw" He was about to say something but his phone suddenly rang, looking at his phone screen he again continued,
" I have invited some of the deal members for today's engagement and the head of the deal CEO of singhania corporations is also coming, So plz make sure everything goes well",
" This deal is really important". He said picking up the call and going to a corner to attend the call.
Although I was very happy for him but I don't know why I am having a really bad feeling about this Singhania corporation.
Iam feeling like something really bad is about to happen...
