Letters Of Hidden Truth

1027 Words
Ela looked at one letter that was newer than the others and sighed. 'Tell him you know about hidden treasure. He will help you.' Ela sighed. Last week, she received the two letters. They had the same handwriting as the others, so only she knew who sent them. 'What secret does he know about that scoundrel?' Ela was confused. She didn't know what the hidden treasure meant. What if it landed her and her mom in trouble? “No!“ Ela shook her head. She had always learned not to find trouble. She wouldn't threaten that scary man. “I'll see what to do.“ With a heavy heart, she put the letters back in the drawer and locked it. Then she went outside and walked for a while. She couldn't explain her emotions at the time. She had just lost her innocence to a man she barely knew. Her mom was also in the hospital and was almost giving up on hope. She wanted to cry, but she tried not to. She had always suppressed her tears since she was young. However, she was suddenly feeling very vulnerable. She sat on a bench on the side of the road and buried her face in her hands. And tears immediately fell from her eyes. All the tears she had suppressed over the years seemed to have broken loose. She cried, her shoulders shaking violently. However, she didn't notice the car parked on the other side of the street. A certain someone had a complicated look on his face as he looked at her. … After thinking the whole day, Ela finally made up her mind. She visited her mom, who was unconscious again, and stayed by her side the whole day. At around seven o'clock in the evening, she walked to the bus station. After all, she didn't have much money left, and she had recently lost her job. All the way to the city, her heart was heavy. She really didn't know what waited for her. What would the man say to her? After all, she understood better than anyone else that nothing was free. That man wasn't going to help her without asking for anything in return. She took in a deep breath and closed her eyes. After she found out what had happened yesterday morning, she had promised herself to stay away from the man. She didn't know that their paths would cross like that again. Worse, she didn't expect that he would be the real Doctor Ren. Of course, after thinking about it, she didn't blame him for what had happened. He had been drugged. She felt that she was the stupid one to give in to him. Until now, she didn't understand why she would give in to him that easily. Even though she came from a normal background, she was considered slightly beautiful. Several men had approached her in the past, and she had always been so irritated. What she felt the day before was very different. She sighed and brushed it off her head. She knew that she wasn't so free from it. What if the man wanted the same thing again? She had considered so many things. After all, he had asked her to meet him in the same room. Did he mistake her for a prostitute? Anyway, did she have a choice? She was determined to save her mom. She had given in to fate. She had already lost her chastity, the thing she valued most. Nothing else would prevent her from saving her mom. At the restaurant, a guard was waiting for her, and he escorted her to Mike's room immediately. It was on the last floor of the building. “Master will be here in a few minutes. Wait for him,” the guard said politely before he left. Ela, on the other side, was confused. Master? How many people refer to him as a master? After she was left alone, she got the chance to scrutinize the room well. Seeing how large and luxurious it was, she couldn't deny that his life was so good. After waiting for some minutes, the door was pushed open, and an expressionless Doctor Ren came in. “You came,” he said. Ela felt a bit tensed and awkward, but she still nodded her head. “Doctor Ren,” she said, and she attempted to stand up. However, the man stopped her. “It's fine,” he said. “You can take a seat.“ Ela nodded again. She was really embarrassed. This was the room where everything happened the other day. It was obvious that she wouldn't be calm. She just didn't notice Doctor Ren's ears, which were red and hot. If any other person saw him like that, they would be shocked to death. Doctor Ren took a seat and looked at the girl before him. “Since you are here, I'll assume that you will let me treat your mom,” he stated calmly. Ela nodded her head apprehensively. “Yes, I thought about it. I cannot be more grateful to you,” she said. She was really grateful to him. “That's good,” Mike said. He suddenly wanted to put a smile on her face. He felt bad when he remembered how badly she cried yesterday. “There are two options here. Your mom can either be transferred to the hospital in the capital for treatment. However, this will be a little troublesome since it would need a lot of documentation and will take time,” he said, hoping that she would understand him. Ela tensed up. “But there aren't better facilities back home.” “That's not what I mean. I know of a place I trust. It is a medical hall and contains everything we need for the operation. We can do it even now if you say so,” he explained. Ela looked into his eyes for the first time, but she was scared. “Um, can you give me a few days? I would like to know how much it will cost since I don't have the money now."
