Benjamin looked at the clock; it was 4.00 am. As had become his norm, he only slept for about four hours and then woke refreshed and ready to start his day. Natasha had never been able to understand how he could function in this way and she felt most uncomfortable when he routinely left their marital bed in the middle of every night. However, after ten years of partnership, mostly living under the same roof, she had resigned herself to it and now rarely stirred as he got up and left the room.
