David"s flight arrived more or less on schedule, but it took him some time to clear passport control, baggage collection, and customs. By the time Saul drove him home it was past 11.00 pm. For David it was two hours later because of the time adjustment travelling west. It had been three years since Benjie had last seen his brother and he looked awful. He was skeletal, almost bald, and despite residing in the sunny climes of Israel, his complexion was pale and drawn. David and Benjie had never got along particularly well.
