A Werewolf's Love

Chapter 4

Michaela POV

“Ummm...what the f*ck did you just say?” I say directed towards Hunter.

“You know what Michaela, how about I explain some stuff to you over a date?” Hunter says clearly trying to change the subject.

“Hunter! Don’t try to change the subject because I’m pretty sure you just called me yours and I ain’t nobody’s right now.”

“No I’m serious, Chae, I want to talk to you about something. We could even go with Anya and Jared.”

“Yeah, you're gonna need to do a lot of talking to explain yourself.”

“So we’ll pick you guys up at 6:00?”

“No, Hunter, I didn’t agree to this.”

“We’ll be ready at 6:00, don’t worry about her,” Anya chimes in.

“Anya!” I shout.

“Come on, Chae, we have a date to get ready for. Can someone drop us off at our hotel please?” Anya says.

“Yeah, sure Jared can drop you guys off. ” Hunter states.

“Hey I didn’t agree to thi-” Jared is cut off by an angry glare from Hunter.

Jared dropped us off at the hotel, and we headed to the room. “Anya!” I yell for her.

“Yeah,” she responds walking out of the bathroom.

“What should I wear? It’s been so long since I’ve been on a date.”

“I don’t know. They didn’t say we were doing fancy, so we can just wear what we’re comfortable in.”

“Okay, but what do you want to do till then?”

“We could explore the hotel some, and maybe go to the pool.”

“K, that sounds nice.”

We put on our swimsuits and some clothes over them and went out to explore the hotel. We went on the elevator, and there were two sets of numbers, ones that were just normal and ones that had the letter L in front of them. We were curious about what the ones with the L on them would do so we pressed them, and the elevator had two different doors so we figured the opposite ones would open.

The other doors did open, but it was some sort of laundry chute type room that was small, had a chair, a locked door and a laundry chute, and while Anya looked around I held my arm in front of the door. We were afraid that if it closed we would need some sort of staff card to get out.

Then despite me holding my arm in front of the elevator door, the door started closing and there was a loud beeping noise coming from the elevator. We quickly got into the elevator and it started to go down. We were so panicked we were laughing our heads off, and it didn't stop once for someone else to enter before it reached the bottom floor and opened.

We got off the elevator, and walked away swiftly trying to avoid staff. We were holding in our laughs; until we rounded a corner and couldn't hold them in any longer. We couldn't stop laughing our heads off a lot and were getting weird looks from people.

We decided to stop by the mini gym before going to the pool. There were fancy treadmills in there that could have an incline, so of course, we got on them, turned the speed up all the way, and turned the incline up all the way. We were fooling around on the treadmills like that and some random person who had come to actually work out walked in. We turned off the treadmills, and left the room quickly stifling our laughs and trying not to make eye contact.

We finally made it to the pool, and immediately went to the hot tub. We sat in there and talked for a while and made fun of ourselves for acting like children minutes before. Then we went into the actual pool and started acting like kids again even though we just made fun of ourselves for it.

Hunter POV

Jared and I were sitting in my office, in silence, essentially doing nothing. When Jared randomly goes, "it's kind of funny how we both have human mates. Are we seriously going to tell them we're wolves already?"

"Yeah, maybe that wasn't the best idea to tell her I would explain, but we are kind of trapped now." I say.

"We because you dragged me into this. We could just not tell them anything."

"Look man, I haven't known Chaela for long, but she will thing I was just trying to go on a date with her if we do that. She will be super pissed."

"We could make up a lie for the time being about why you're so over-protective."

"No, I'm not gonna lie to my mate, and what are we gonna say that I have a weird problem with being over-protective with random girls I've known for two days?"

"Actually, it's a whole three days, but you hold a fair point," Jared agrees.

"So, what are we gonna do for the date anyways?"

"That's a good question, and we have a few hours to procrastinate figuring it out."

"We could get some dinner and go out for drinks afterwards."

"Are they even old enough to drink?"

"Yeah, they're here celebrating Chae's twenty-first birthday man."

"You should get her a birthday present."

"Wanna help me find something?" I practically beg.

"Fine. We can figure out what to do while we're out."

We went and got Chaela a birthday present and decided on what to do for the date. We were gonna go get some Chick-fil-a because we knew they like that and go for a picnic sort of thing at an overlook.

We showed up at the hotel and waited outside.

Michaela POV

"Oh sh*t! Anya, we gotta go. It's already 5:45!" I shouted.

We hurried back to the hotel room and got changed and ran back to the elevators which was too long of a wait, so we sprinted down the stairs.  We ran outside and saw Hunter and Jared waiting there for us.
