Agape.

Khan was looking at his parents in silence. Her mother was sleeping next to him on the bed and her dad was sleeping on a chair holding his mom's hand and with his head on her mother's chest. Khan blinked. It seemed like it hadn't been a good night for them. He doesn't remember much after his mother put him to sleep with her magic so that he no longer felt the pain in his leg, which was now well bandaged and felt better. —Prince Khan, are you awake? —he heard the guard outside the sultan's chambers—. It's Idris. —Yes —he said. The door opened and the brown-haired looked at him with a smile. —If you want breakfast now, tell me, I'll bring you some —he offered, the prince denied by shooting his head—. Would you wait for your parents to wake up? The prince nodded. —Very well, your highness —Idris approach bed and looked at the sultans—. They must've been exhausted. Are you sure you're gonna wait for them? —What happened to them? —he asked. —Your mother is sick, my lord —he replied, not entering in details. —It's because of me, right? —the blue-eyed child stared at the floor. Idris frowned. —Of course not, your majesty. Why do you say something like that? —he asked. —Last night, they were arguing because she was using her magic to heal me —he mumbled—. Pops said that she was going to get sick if she kept using it but she wanted to heal me. —Oh —Idris was impressed, with six years he already was able to listen outside while sleeping as his mother—. But that's not your fault, young master. Your mother wanted you to be okay. —But she put herself in danger —he pouted. —Well, that's what be a mother means —he smiled. —I would do it again... I would always do it —she mumbled without open her eyes or blink. Idris and Khan looked at her. —Your highness, how are you feeling? —Not well, I can't breathe —she said while taking her hand into the sultan's hair—. Khan, you should go to the kitchen with Idris and eat something. Idris, would you mind bringing some medicine? I think I got a cold. —Do you have a fever, my queen? —I guess so —she mumbled—, I feel terrible. Khan was worried. —Ey —she called him—, don't feel bad. It's not your fault that your mom is stubborn as hell. Okay? I'm gonna be okay, I just need to rest —she said, caressing his face—. Go with Idris, I'll be okay. He closed his eyes and bowed his head. Idris smiled. "The princess has been born." Soleil frowned asleep, There was a lot of noise and she was beginning to get restless. What the hell were they muttering about? She stretched on the bed and then found out, she was alone. She opened her eyes slowly and yawned. What time is it? She looked everywhere. Raised her hand. —Your highness —Kenneth entered the room bowing with his head—. Do you need anything? —Reyham gave birth while I was asleep? —she was sitting on the edge of the bed with her hair loose and red eyes. Kenneth noticed it, her heat was coming close—. Didn't she? —Yes, your highness. Kenneth was concerned about her health but did not dare to comment. She wouldn't want to hear it anyway. Reyham had given birth to a princess, the fourth heir of her and the sultan. —I had nightmares last night because I ran out of magic, also my heat is coming —she mumbled with the eyes on the floor—. And now she decides to give birth to a sultan, a princess. Damn it. —Are you angry, my lady? —We have to go early that I thought —she said, looking at him. Kenneth was perfectly capable of seeing the suffering his alpha was going through. He was not sure, in the same way, if it was physical or emotional suffering. Anyway, she was right, they should go. She shook her head and tried to stand up, failing. —My sultan! —he ran to hold her before she passed out—. You're not in conditions already, go back to bed and stay there. The sultan is with sultan Reyham and his new baby. —Great —she had chills—, now I want to go but I can't. —You have one day left —he said with calculator's eyes. —Yeah —she sighed. Soleil wanted to go, she had to go. She didn't want to leave Khan on his own so soon but he had to, with his wolf zeal close at hand it was dangerous for her to stay there. She must go away. Kenneth helped her get up and left her on the edge of the bed again. —We have to go tomorrow night —she affirmed. Kenneth bowed his head. —I'll bring you something to eat —he announced. Noah never ceases to be amazed at the miracle of life. Seeing a woman give birth to his offspring made him happy. Holding that little creature in his arms was something he couldn't describe. —She looks a lot like your mother, don't you think, Noah? —Reyham was smiling. He stared at her and then affirmed with his little princess in his arms. —Indeed —he looked at the baby and approached her face to mumble—: Your name is Agape. —Agape? —Means love on greek —he said with a proud smile—. That's what you are, my love —he was fascinated by the creature on his hands, she was so tiny and thin but still so cute and perfect. Reyham smiled victoriously. She had given him a princess after three healthy and beautiful princes. Plus, she had shown Soleil that she was better than her. In ten years she had given the sultan four heirs and she would soon be able to train for beta promotion. —Agape, you're the seventh daughter of the seventh son —he was smiling. Reyham looked at him, his pheromones had a conflict between the happiness for his daughters and the memories of his own family. The seventh daughter of the seventh son, huh. So he had more brothers and sisters besides Bright and Kate. Meanwhile, she was not unaware of it. —Seventh, huh. —Well, yes —he was caressing her little face—, Faith, Brighton, Khan, Leo and Chris, Max... Agape is the seventh —he smiled—, the second daughter, tho. She's gonna be so spoiled. Oh, I should call Soleil. Reyham clenched her jaw. Said nothing about it, tho. She remembered well how Noah had gotten angry with her during the birth of the twins when she had exploited her resentment towards the black-haired woman and told the sultan that he didn't have to call her. —Idris, call the alpha here, please. He had told her then something that had marked her forever. "What are you talking about, woman? Of course, I must call her, she must meet our children. After all, she is my wife and although you have given birth to the children, they are also her children." So bold... —I'm sorry, your majesty —Idris bowed his head—, but her highness asked to not be bored. She is sleeping and had a fever when I checked her. She must stay in bed. Khan is with her now. —Oh, I see —he pursed his lips—. In that case —he raised —, I shall go with the princess to get her blessing. Take care of Reyham and make sure she is okay, I'll go back soon. Reyham couldn't say a word but she was angry and he knew it, yet he ignored her and went out. Idris looked at her and check her state before leaving the room too. Then the princes came in. —Mother. —Mom. —Mommy. —Ah, my precious children —she tried to smile like she wasn't burning on the inside—, my loves. —We saw our sister leaving with dad, is he going to see sultan Soleil? —Brighton sighed. —Yes. The twins approached her with a smile and sat in the bed with her. —How are you feeling, mother? —I'm okay, Brighton, thank you —she replied with a smile—. What about you, guys? —We're okay —the twins spoke in chorus. Reyham was happy, as far as she could tell. Her life had not been easy but without a doubt, she loved her children, even if they did not see her as their only mother in their life. It was something that for someone like her did not make sense. Anyone could think that it was foolish to share a man, and also his children, with other people. Even she believed so but she had to accept the reality of her, the reality in which she had been saved from death and agreed to become an omega of the sultan. —You shouldn't be here —she said before he even gets into the room. He sighed. —You heard me —he accused while entering and smiling when he looked at Khan and Soleil, they were on the bed surrounded by cushions and blankets—. I see you already made a nest. —Indeed —she looked at the little creature he was holding in arms and extended her hands—, now let me see our little Agape. He smiled while letting the baby in her hands. He always loved that part of his baby's birth, when Soleil took the child in her arms and looked at it with that gaze full of love and that lovely smile of hers. She cast a spell in the baby, always different, as personalized with the heir. —Agape, I wish you strength and bravery, for you, there's no need to bless you with love because you already have this one —she mumbled, and then she recited the spell in her native language. Noah was always able to recognize the weird combination that anyone can hear. The Celtic spells and the runes that she cast over the heirs were just too old for them to know, but since he was the apprentice of another sorcerer, he was able to recognize it as well. Even that, it was different. He didn't make it at all but Soleil was a magic being in all the possible ways. —Benim güzel kızım —she finished with a Turkish quote—: Mi hermosa hija. It was always like this. She gave her blessing, cast a spell on the newborn heir, and in the end, accepted them as her own. Noah knew why, she just followed in her mother's footsteps. Sultan Kira had been a great woman and a great wife, as well as a great sultan, and mother. —Kalós írthes stin oikogéneia —murmured then, in greek—: Bienvenida a la familia. The sultan Kira used to accept well her role in the dynasty as the sultan's wife, but in the end, like every other sultan before, she didn't want him to have any more children with other women. Even with this, she began a new costume. Every time a sultan's mistress gave birth, after her first son and the sultan's firstborn as well, she gave her blessings to the newborn and cast a spell of protection over him or her. As a welcome party. —Isn't she beautiful or what? —Noah was smiling. Soleil had not mentioned this to him until the moment when she accepted Khan as her son and did the same like he was a newborn. When he told her that his mother had learned that by giving them her blessing and accepting them as her own children she could accept their fate and love them, she had realized that she would do the same. Not because she wanted to imitate her mother, but because she wanted to be able to love his children. —Yes, she's beautiful —she caressed the little face again—, Khan —she called—, look at her. The kid looked at the baby next to him and blinked. —It's so tiny —he was amazed—. May I touch her, mom? —You may ask your dad, it's his decision —she said, and both looked at Noah. He smiled and affirmed with his head. To him, watch the way Khan touched his daughter's face so carefully with his little fingers was something overwhelming. Also, the two of them were in Soleil's bed and she had constructed a nest with her blankets and cushions. And for a mom in her nest, to accept another woman's baby was a big step. It was the recognition of her love for him. —She is so cute —Khan sighed and moved away—, I feel weird, mom —he whispered. Soleil smiled. —You're feeling happy. Aren't you? —I don't know —he touched his chest—, what is this feeling? —It's how I feel every time I see you —she answered, caressing his face while looking at him, her eyes were so caring and deep—. You know. The feeling of having someone little and loved, someone, to take care of —she mumbled. —You feel like this? —Yes —she affirmed—, I feel like this every time I hold you next to me. Noah smiled. —I think this girl needs her mom —Soleil commented when she saw the baby girl doing faces, Noah blinked and then bowed his head while carrying the little girl—, have a good rest, Agape. Noah managed to feel the fever she had when took the baby in his arms, he was worried about it. The pheromones in the air were dangerous and toxic, even if she was the same as always. Something bad was happening or was going to. —Tell Kenneth to take Khan to his chambers, please —she said, looking at both men. —But mom... —Your mom needs to rest, Khan —Noah sighed—, come here, I'll take you to your room myself. Then there she was laying on the nest that she made for herself before, alone and suffering. She had to go but she couldn't, and while was waiting, she was thinking about just one thing. She would have to leave her hometown the day after. She wished to not have to do it again. —So you decided to go for a ride —Kenneth looked at her. Soleil was on Abbott when turned to see him and affirmed with her head, she was breathing deeply. It was hard for her to breathe, that wasn't a secret for anybody. —I have to clear my mind —she said—. After taking Khan to his room, Noah asked to see Emma. —Ah? I thought you were happy about her —he looked at her sideways. —He's my fated mate and my heat is close and he's with someone else —she murmured, raising her shoulders—. I'm okay but my inner self isn't like that. —Are they...? —Oh, no —she shook her head—, they're talking as usual. I think he likes her because it's easy to talk with her —she waited for him to saddle the horse—. I am kinda tired but let's go for a ride. —You were supposed to rest until we have to go —he complained. —Yes but I couldn't, don't complain —she sighed. Kenneth decided that it would be best to keep quiet. They both rode in silence. Meanwhile, Noah was talking with Emma with a smile. He liked the way the omega talked, it was amazing. —Then I woke up and there was nothing there —she smiled. —Wow, you know the dreams can tell things, right? —Noah was thoughtful. —Ah, yeah, but I can't interpret a thing in my dreams —she sighed. Noah scratched his cheek. —Actually, I can't either but you may ask Soleil, her skills are amazing —he told her—, so if you want to know what it means you should ask her. I think she was in her chambers, I'll ask Idris. —Okay —Emma bowed her head. Noah raised his arm and Idris got in the room. —My sultan —he bowed. —Could you tell me, please, where's Soleil? I bet she's still in the bed —he looked at Emma—, she is sick so she can't go out in her status. —Am... Sorry, your majesty, the alpha is riding horses with Kenneth —Idris was awkward. Emma wondered then why the sultan got so mad at that simple phrase. He frowned immediately and raised off the bed, looking at Idris. "She's sick so she can't go out" But she did it. —What do you mean? —Well, she took Abbott without saying a thing and Kenneth followed her for precaution —Idris explained—. Since she is so stubborn he just decided to ride by her side. —The hell? You should stop her —he showed his fangs—, I'm sorry, Emma, I gotta go. —Of course, I'll see you later, my sultan —she smiled at him like nothing was happening. Noah was upset. She was sick, had a fever and she was not supposed to leave the castle. Still, she had done it without telling him about it. It didn't take long for her to pick up some momentum and start running towards the forest where she usually rides, even if she didn't transform, just being a werewolf gave her a much higher than average speed. And he knew the scent of Soleil well so he could find her right away. —I don't get it. —Why? —she looked at Kenneth. —I mean, why are you mad? —He expects me to be in bed the time that my heat lasts and I won't, it's too risky. He would take advantage of that to make me fall into him —Soleil stopped and got off the horse, sitting over a rock—. Look, I don't expect you to understand. —You should try to explain to me at least. —I just know that I don't want to have any more sultan's babies around, and Agape just born which means Reyham's feeling all mighty again —Soleil sighed—, so I'm just gonna go. Okay? —Very well —Kenneth knew there was no point in insisting if she didn't want to talk—. I think I need to go back to the castle. You're okay, right? —Yes, I'm fine, don't worry —she smiled at him—. I'll take Abbott to his stable. —Fine, see you later. —Bye —she waited for him to go and sighed—. So, little Emma decided to go for a walk, huh. After the sultan left, Emma decided that she would go for a walk. As she walked alone through the farthest garden of the harem she wondered what was happening on the castle walls. Because everyone seemed worried and exhausted. She couldn't do anything to relieve them but at least she wanted to be able to understand what was going on. —Ah, no one can help without nothing was going on —she complained out loud. —You're right —the alpha gets off the horse and looked at her—, sorry for startling you, by the way. —Ah, your highness —she took a deep breath —, I am sorry. I was so focused on my thoughts I didn't realize you were there, forgive me, please —she bowed to the black-haired one. The older just raised her shoulders. —Abbott likes you —said then. Emma raised her eyes to see the white horse. —He's beautiful —she answered, amazed. —Indeed —she smiled—, have you congratulated the sultan for his newborn daughter, Emma? Emma wasn't sure why she was asking, but she affirmed. —Of course, my queen. —Very well —she looked at the horse—, wanna ride him? —Is that okay? —It's okay, I'm not jealous —she yawned. Emma couldn't lie saying she didn't want to ride that beautiful white horse so she smiled. With emotion. Of course, the alpha took advantage of the fact that she had never ridden to carry her and put her on the horse. Emma's heart was pounding and she was getting nervous. —Ready? —I don't think this is a good idea —she swallowed hard. —It's okay, the first time is always scary —she shook her head—, but you'll be alright. Abbott will take care of you, trust him —she whistled and the horse began to run. At this point, Emma was thinking she could die because of the emotions she was feeling. The alpha was getting ready to run after her when he arrived. —You should be in bed. —You can not give me orders —she answered without looking at him—, but don't worry. I won't punish you. —You're feeling good, I presume —he ignored her—. Then we should start the preparations for the golden hallway. Don't you think? —Ah —she clenched her jaw but didn't look at him—, if that's what you want. Consider it done. —Good —Noah frowned—. How about tonight? Will you come to my chambers? She looked sideways. Tonight was the night she was going. —Did you mean me in the golden hallway tonight? —she laughed sarcastically—. You're insane. —Why? I'm insane cause I want to spend the night with my wife? —he growled—. You know, out there we're all insane because of the way we live, but that never bothered you. Isn't it? —I'm not gonna discuss this with you, I gotta go —she said. —You're not going anywhere —he approached her and kiss her with anger. She tried to hold it back but she couldn't and answered the kiss as well, even if she didn't want it to. He was her mate. After a few seconds, she split him away. Just looking at how Abbott was running away but knowing that Kenneth was near to them and the horse was in Emma's direction, she didn't care about it. —You know that I am the master here, don't you? —she murmured. —As I would care —he mumbled, kissing her. She sighed when they split again. —I can't be with you —she said softly—, and I don't wanna fight but I will if you don't let me another choice. —What do you mean? The horse came from nowhere. Emma tried to locate someone who knew about him but all the way near to her was lonelier, she looked at the horse. They were in the middle of the wood and she couldn't recognize anything. Maybe Abbott was able to know the way home, she approached him. —Hello buddy, are you riding by yourself? —she frowned—. I think you should rest here for a while. She took an apple out of her bag and approached the horse. —Here, eat something before we go back to the castle —the horse ate the apple—, do you know the way home, don't you? The horse whinny. —Good, because I think I'm lost —she laughed softly. Noah frowned instead looking at Soleil without understanding why she insisted on going away. She used to do that every time her heat was close, she just got away and when she was calmed, she got back to their place. He was tired of that. —You gotta believe me, I'm not gonna accept Emma if that- —Emma is not threatening, she is a good person and she deserves you more than... Noah looked at her, expecting. —It doesn't matter anyways —she howled—, tell Kenneth to meet me at the steeple. We will leave at dawn. Kenneth, heat, alpha. Noah's blood boiled but when she wanted to say something to him she noticed that the nightgown she had worn was on the ground and the black wolf was moving away from him at great speed. —Great... And now you run away. Ugh, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you —he complained, as he picked up the nightgown and shook it. He would go to the palace and start training. He had a lot of energy in his body. Emma was riding Abbott by the time when a familiar scent got in her nose, the horse got crazy immediately. It was the alpha's scent, but she was more worried about the horse running wildly while she was over him. God, what is she just fall out or something? She could die, or worst. A whistle made the horse calm down and the big black wolf appeared from a corner of the wood in their direction. Then the wolf stepped up in front of them.  —Are you alright? —the alpha howled. She nodded, although she was confused. Soleil growled at the horse to cover her as she transformed, Emma, got off the horse and held out her cloak as she turned. She turned around again when she heard the horse neighing from her and saw her hug Abbott calmly. —He likes you but it doesn't feel that comfortable with you —she said, caressing the white fur of the horse—. Don't worry, you'll get used to it. He is a little wild and stubborn but he has a big heart and I can assure you, you'll love him. Emma smiled.  —He likes apples and spending the weekends in the soldier's training field —she kept going—. He feels safer that way, and he hates when you're formal with him and always tries to make you laugh. Emma looked at her. The gaze of the alpha, the smile on her face, and the calm in her heartbeats. She thought that perhaps she forgot that she wasn't just the alpha of the pack and a wolf, she was a human being too. And a sensitive one, for her surprise. —Do you know what's the problem with humans? —Emma blinked when she heard her—. They're nothing like animals. —What do you mean? —Soleil looked at her and smiled. For a minute, Emma was in shock. —I wasn't always the alpha but I think you already knew that because Gale and Noah told you —that declaration surprised Emma. The alpha didn't look angry or anything, she kept caressing her horse with her fingers—. I wasn't talking about Abbott back now, I was talking about Noah. Although Soleil made that point clear, Emma was very astonished. She didn't expect that, she didn't expect any of that. What did she want to say? She must have seen her face made into a poem because she laughed and asked him to sit on the floor next to her. The horse leaned back as well and the alpha continued to stroke it. —I know how you feel about it.  —It doesn't bother you? —Oh, my —she smiled—, you're the first that ask me that. That's a good thing, it proves that you have good intentions.  —The first one? —that piqued her curiosity. —Well, Ayze is an exotic beauty with a cheerful spirit just like Noah, she was such a good girl and mother. Her only mistake was wanting to become the sultan's wife —she said softly. Emma wide her mouth but she didn't let her say anything—. Narges is such a sweet thing, very cute and she's always caring about everyone. Yes, she has flaws like everyone else and thanks to them, Noah wasn't that connected to her.  Emma wrinkled her nose. —Then Reyham —she clicked her tongue—, she wasn't chosen by me as says the rules, I don't like her at all —she commented—. She's selfish, all that she looks for is power, and she used to be in love with me because I was a royal. —I don't understand... Why are you telling me all this? —Well, I already told you that his majesty wants you to go to the golden hallway —she said. With that, Emma's nerves shot up. Did the sultan want her to come to his quarters as one of his omegas? But she was not in heat. She frowned. Even if he asked for it before, she wasn't ready. —Noah wants a new child.
