A normal Monday.

The weekend came faster than they could've expected and Soleil's birthday was just around the corner. Usually, the celebration of her birthday was something simple between the people of the castle and the main families of each pack in their territories but this time each person in the empire would be there to celebrate with her. It gave her anxiety. —Your highness, looking as good as always —the albino walked in her chambers with a flirting smile. She raised her eyes from her book to him. —Shut up, Samuel. —Haha, don't mind me —he excused, looking at the bedroom. Everything was normal and he didn't felt something wrong in the place, he smiled—. I just came to say... Don't get married, be mine. We'll make the love every day and live in the forest as wolves —he said, getting closer to her when the sultan came out of the queen's bathroom. —You wish —he said, showing his fangs to the white-haired—. You should drop dead already. —Ah, sultan... Always so cold —he raised his arms and smiled—. I just came to visit my friend. What are you even doing in her highness chambers? —What do you think? —he smiled sideways. —I hope planning how to defeat the south sultan —he said—, I believe they're gonna move. —So you came to talk about politics in the middle of the morning? —the sultan was drying his hair with a towel while Soleil was reading her book—. You're running out of ideas to bother me. —Oh, but I met someone —he said—, Emma's best friend. She's way too interested in you. Noah looked the both. —What do you mean? —Well, you know, she kinda likes Summer —he shook his head and smiled—, I promise we're gonna have too much fun at college next week. By the way, Emma's good choice, sultan. —Humph —the sultan just rolled his eyes and walked near the bed where the blackhead was reading—, tell me about it. We almost fought about her last day. —But I can see you managed to solve your problems in other ways —he was making fun of them. Anyone would think twice before making fun of the sultans but Samuel was not like that. Probably because it was the only friend that Summer had, even if everyone loved her, she wasn't able to establish relationships with people too easily. It was kinda hard to make her open to you. —Of course, make love not war —he blinked his eyes at him and let him lay down on the bed next to her, she just left one hand over the book and touched his hair—. Right, honey? —Hm. —You said you don't wanna talk about war but still reading the art of the war —he said, looking at her with his blue eyes. The Alpha sighed. —You wanna fight or something? —she showed her fangs. —Of course not, I'm not that suicidal —he denied it—, I just wanna tease you but with your bodyguard over there I just can't tease you like I always do. I miss your skin, my love- A growl made him quiet. —Get out of the room, I'm asking you nicely —the sultan said, deeply. Of course, he had his limits, he loved his life. So he nodded and after saying goodbye to them, he left the rooms. Summer looked at him and put her book down beside her. The sultan sat on the bed, expectant. —You're not gonna going back to your room? —Are you kicking me out, my queen? —he smiled. —Yeah, you've been all the week in here, you know —she stopped touching his hair and stretched her arms—. I was thinking in go to the east side to visit the sultans and the heirs —she said—. Wanna come with me? —Of course. —Tell the others to bring Emma, I wanna introduce her —she gets up of the bedroom—. Do you? —Nah, I don't think it's the time. She isn't even a favorite or something —he looked at her. —Ah right, you're right —she nodded—. Shall we? —Yes, ma'am. —Good morning —he yawned again. Emma and Gale looked at the door where he was walking in. To Emma, Samuel seemed to be the type of guy who was always eating, drinking, or sleepy. But he was a very active boy, cheerful and quite funny. —Good morning, sleepy beauty —Emma smiled at him. —What time do you start training? —asked her. —Afternoon —she answered—. So Samuel, where have you been all these days? —Researching. —What kind of research do you do? If I can know —she looked interested. —You can't but I can tell you it's nothing to worry about. I'm just looking for the alpha being safe —he affirmed—, she's always trying to expand the empire and help other people. —So... —Hm? —You're like her...? —I'm the personal guard of his highness as Sean is the Sultan's bodyguard. We have the compromise of giving our lives for them —he commented while seating in front of her and next to Gale. Gale sighed—. Sorry for that, I know the alpha trust you but I still his number one. —And I think that's just fabulous —Gale would not bear so much responsibility. —You're not angry or jealous. —Being trusted by his highness it's already all that I ever wanted —his response made her widen her eyes—. To have her trust you must earn it. It's not that easy, some people here have risked their lives and still, she doesn't trust them. —Why? For Emma, that someone was able to risk his own life to save him was something worth her trust. But Emma didn't know the alpha that well so she couldn't know that her life wasn't comparative at all. —Some people did it because they wanted her trust but their minds were in other terms —Gale tried to explain her—, and didn't end well. Emma frown. —Summer can see through people's hearts —Samuel mentioned it—. She could see what they wanted from her and why were they trying to get her trust so she covered her heart up. —And since she can hear everything, there are no secrets in this empire —Gale added. —Everything? —If she's not distracted she can even hear far away from our territories —Samuel was sparkling. —You look like a puppy. —I've always been in love with my master. Too bad her heart is so cold and she can't be in love with me —he pouted. Emma laughed for a minute and then looked at him—. What? —Well, you know —she shook her shoulders—. If you love her that much, why don't you tell her? —Don't do that —Gale denied. —Do what? —Don't give him hope —the redhead shook his head—, he can't do such thing. That'll be crazy. —I already told her and she didn't believe me —he raised his shoulders and scratched his neck with a sad face—. Since she got married she doesn't have a heart at all. It's so annoying. Gale facepalmed himself. —You're an i***t —he mumbled. —Wait, the alpha is married? —Yeah —Gale sighed—, a long story. I might have already told you if this i***t wasn't here. —Ey, that was so cold —he complained, lying down on the floor—. Everywhere I go... Emma blinked. —They always treat me like this —he pouted. —He's complaining again —she answered the sultan's question. They were walking at the east side of the palace where the garden of the mistresses was, there they would find the sultan's women and heirs. Soleil liked to watch over them since it was important to Noah and what was important for him, it was important for her too. He sighed. —Why is he back? I thought you sent him to the southern territories. —Yeah, you heard him. They plan to move —she answered. The truth was she didn't wanna talk about it. War was something that she wasn't interested in—. That can be dangerous. —I should ask Sean how was it —he mumbled. —Yeah, apparently Emma met him too —she said—, he thinks she's troublesome. —Huh? Everything is troublesome for him —he rolled his eyes—. I don't even know how he is still alive. —The same way you are, miracles of the gods —she raised her eyes to the sky—. I remember... Noah stopped to watch her. —What? —I remember your vows —that surprised him and she smiled softly—, you asked me last night while we were ki-kissing. —Ah, right —he smiled—. Remind me of my vows again, my queen. I wanna hear what I told you. —I promise to love you completely and without reservation, in sickness, and in health, in wealth and poverty —she took his hand and crossed their fingers—, in this life and the next where we will meet again, we will remember each other and we will love again —he smiled and kissed her gently—. I will not try to change you in any way. —My, my... Am I just too good with words or what? —they laughed. —So I spent my days looking for you and you've been with this thing. The alpha growled and looked at her. Reyham was touching her belly with impatience while looking her back, that sight made the alpha show her fangs. Noah inhaled deeply. —I said I don't wanna talk with you, Reyham, leave us alone —he warned. —I'm not doing- —Get the hell out of here —he looked at her coldly. He was always very patient with her because at some point in his life he was in love, but since he met Soleil's love, he wanted nothing more in his life than to be hers and nobody else mattered. He knew well the reason why Soleil did not treat him back and was in front of them. —How dare you- —Mother, let's go —the prince talked. Brighton, Sultan's second heir, the first male. He's the sultan and Reyham's first child. Brighton has eight years, golden hair, and blue eyes. Just like his father. Unlike his father's way of being, Brighton is a selfish, cold, and selfless boy. Maybe that was his mother's inheritance. —B, watch your mother better —the alpha sighed, looking at the child—. Okay? —Yes, ma'am. —Good. Reyham —she glared at her, surprising the older one—, you can be pregnant and feel like you're not in any danger in here but I must remind you the only reason why you haven't been exiled are the baby and the kids. Don't tempt my patience. Noah embraced her for the back. —You heard the alpha, get out of here —he stared—. B, watch her —he ordered. —Yes, father —the kid bowed his head and dragged his mom away from them. Her face was as expressionless as ever, sometimes that bothered him. —It's a bit embarrassing that a child has to take care of his mother —she mumbled. Noah smiled. —Reyham used to be more than this but... At some point, she turned into this —he wasn't sure when. Instead, Soleil was another story. She knew it well from the beginning. Reyham was never what she appeared to be. —I don't know what to do with her —he looked at the sky—, I can't throw her out. She's the mother of three of my kids, four... —Yeah. —Huh, thank you for the help —he was sarcastic. —Sweetheart, you don't know what to do about a simple woman... I don't know what to do about a stupid war —she was so tired, for real—. Let's forget about that —she said instead. —Daddy! —Yeah, let's forget about that —he put his best smile on his face. She smiled too. —You're weak. The punch on her stomach was too much. She couldn't even breathe. —You can't do a thing. Emma was bleeding by that time. How much she could resist? —You should be dead. She tried to fight back but she could not, and she was getting dizzy again. —Stop —another voice came from nowhere, she couldn't recognize who or where, but she was sweating a lot and wasn't able to focus her sight—. She's going to faint. Hold her —was an order. Emma took at least five minutes to react. She was sitting up, and both Idris and Gale were watching her silently. She didn't feel her limbs and her body felt strange. She didn't know why. —...kay? She blinked a couple of times, her sight had a strange feeling. Like sparkles. —You're okay? She couldn't hear well. Everything was heard so close but so far away, she knew they were talking to her but she could not spin a single sentence in her mind. As if she couldn't hear anything, a buzzing bothering her. —Damn it, Gillian. You broke her! —that was Gale, she thought. She closed her eyes again and when it came time to open them, she was no longer on the training ground but her bed. She had a headache and tried to remember anything. Gillian's voice and the feeling of his punches, the smell of sweat and blood, her body's tickling. Ah, she fainted. —You're awake —it was Idris with a little smile, she looked at him—. Don't push yourself. —What... happened? —her tongue felt weird. Idris laughed softly while walking on the bed next to her. —I gave you medicine, your tongue is going to be a little numb —he announced to her—. It's normal. She nodded. —I don't think you've ever passed out like this, but it's normal, your body is trying to get used to your new lifestyle —he made sure she didn't have a fever—. And the training with Gillian is always pretty thorough. —I feel so tired —she mumbled, drinking the water that he gave her. —That's normal, you haven't recovered yet —he touched her forehead to make sure she hadn't fever—. You should rest until tomorrow. Okay? It's okay, I already said the others. —You... Have you told him to the sultan or the alpha? —No —he denied—. There's no reason for doing that. —Um? —Well, you're not a consort or something, so I don't have to say them if you fainted just because you're tired —he raised his shoulders and smiled at her—. You'll be okay tomorrow. Emma understood, it wasn't like she was so important that the sultan or alpha ran to see her because she had passed out in the middle of training. It wasn't like they had no other things to do. They were probably too busy. —It's good to have you back, Soleil —she smiled kindly—, and you, sultan. —I'm happy I came with her —Noah was holding in his arms one of his children. Max was his son with the sultan Narges and the little one with three years old—. I was missing you so much. Narges smiled at him and bowed.  —It's everything okay? You can tell always me is there something bothering you, I'll make the arrangements to make it disappear —Soleil was holding in her arms the twins, Leo and Chris. Leo and Chris were Reyham's children as Brighton, unlike his older brother they have five years. Even if they were Reyham's sons, they were too attached to the other sultans. After all, the heirs are raised together as brothers and sisters. Leo likes Narges and Chris prefers Ayze, but still. —Honey, don't worry. The only thing you should take care of is your husband —Ayze laughed.  —Very funny —she rolled her eyes. —Hey, listen to her —Noah smiled—, but seriously. Tell us if you need anything. —I need a pony —Faith, the sultan's first and only daughter, was happy to see them again. Even if Noah or Soleil were always around and caring about them, she hasn't seen them in a week and it was like an eternity. —Well —Soleil laughed softly at the princess—, if you want a pony, you should have one.  —Don't spoil my child, Sol —Ayze complained—. I already told you that you won't have a pony. —Mom doesn't wanna give a pony —she pouted, crossing her arms in front of the black-haired, who smiled—. Mother, could you give me one, please? —I could, indeed. Noah laughed. —But I won't because your mom said no —she said while looking at the princess. Faith inherited the blonde hair and blue eyes of both parents—. What have you done now? It has to be a reason why she doesn't want you to have one. —I didn't do anything —she cried. —Sorry Sol, she is in detention because she tried to cut Reyham's hair —Ayze apologized while sighing. Noah and Soleil looked at each other and then started laughing—. You two are so mean. —Sorry, sorry —Noah stopped—, I was imagining Reyham running from my little princess.  —That's bad, by the way —Soleil left the twins in Narges hands—, you can't hurt anyone. It's against the rules —she asked the princess to sit in her legs and the girl did it. Soleil kissed her forehead—. Honey, why did you tried to cut Reyham's hair? —I was... I just wanted to see her with short hair —she mumbled—, but sultan Reyham said that she would never do such a thing so I thought that maybe she was afraid to cut it, but if I cut it off for her maybe she would like it.  The princess looked at her with sad eyes and Soleil caressed her face with kindness. Noah was enjoying that look of both women, his first love and his first child. Soleil smiled. —Honey, sometimes when someone doesn't want something you do, it's normal —affirmed. —But- —It's okay, I'm not mad at you —she raised her eyebrows—, I just want you to know that you cant make other people think like you do or like you want them to. People are... different.  —Why sultan Reyham doesn't like me? —she pouted. —Because she always wanted a girl and you're not hers —she answered.  —But I'm not yours either and you like me a lot. Don't you? —Yes, I do. I love you —she kissed her forehead again and kept smiling—, but you're wrong.  —Why? —You are mine —she said—, even if I'm not your mom Ayze, I'm still your mother.  —But Reyham said- —This sultan Reyham is already making me lose my nerves —Soleil mumbled, Noah and Ayze laughed. The black-haired sighed—. Honey, I didn't give you birth but I'm your father's wife. That makes me your mother in law. —Mothers in law aren't bad as in the fairytales stories? —Am I bad? —she asked this time, to all the princes in there. They shook their heads, denying. —No —she denied. —Very well —she smiled at the little one—, I love you. —I love you two, mother —they embraced. Yes, all the heirs called her mother. It was because the sultan knew that if they never had a child together, his children would still be children of both. She was his wife and he wanted her to be the mother of his children even though she had not given birth to them. —My, I'm so in love with you —Noah sighed looking at Soleil. The weekend ended as well and they had to go back to college. This time, Noah and Soleil went with her. Both looked different this Monday, but she couldn't say why. After all, they were lost the whole week. She didn't saw any of them until yesterday at the dinner with the whole harem. The sultans were sat together at the corner of the harem while everyone was dancing, drinking, and talking. Now they were walking together, all of them. Soleil, Samuel, Sean, and Noah in front of Gale, Nathan, and herself. —I'm excited about today —Noah was hugging Soleil and Sean for the shoulders—. Don't you think it's great the pack is getting bigger? —Yeah. —It's troublesome —Sean sighed. —Ah, you two are so boring —Noah shook his head—, um. Emma? —Yes? —she raised her eyes to the blonde who was walking in front of her. The blonde was looking sideways. —How do you feel about going to college? I heard you fainted at the training the other day. —I'm fine now, your majesty —she answered. So he knew about that—, I was tired that day but I'm doing okay these days.  —That's good —he smiled—. We don't want you to push harder. Try to get used to it first, okay? —Don't try to get the beta standards in just a few days —Soleil said—, it's not good for you. We care a lot about the pack but we don't rush the progress of the omegas. Take it easy.  —Y-yes, your highness. Noah looked at her. —Perhaps you should train someday with Summer —he proposes —, she's a good master. —Absolutely, my master is the best —Samuel was smiling. —Shut up, dumb face —Noah complained. And the alpha nodded at her. —If you want it, make an appointment with me to train one day. I won't push you that hard. —I want you to be rough with me —Emma affirmed. Everyone looked at her and she felt embarrassed. —I... I mean... Noah laughed. —You're too cute.  Soleil and the others accepted as well. —Then I'll be rough to you —the black-haired smiled at her. Even her ears were red at the point. When they arrived at college everyone split apart into each class. Emma was going to tower D while Noah, Summer, and Gale to tower A and the rest like Samuel, Nathan, and Sean to tower F. Apparently Noah was studying History, Summer was in Business Management (surprisingly), Gale was in Literature, and the others three were studying Languages, Medicine and Military Strategy in that order. She didn't even know that you could study stuff like that there. —And? —Hello Amy —she greetings—, how are you? The redhead was smiling and sitting on their desk. —I'm good, what about you?  —Very well —she smiled too—. What are you planning to do today? —Well, I was thinking about what you said the other day and I'm okay spending the time with you and your new friends. Even if you haven't told me yet how do you met them —she pouted. —Good, then let's meet with them at lunch —she smiled and sat on her chair—. The whole gang is in here today, I want you to meet them.  —Summer's going to be there? —Emma bowed—. Of course, I'll go.  Emma could understand why Amy was so interested in Summer. The oldest was smart, pretty, and mysterious. It was like a package that she said "do not open" and the more she wanted to do it. The lunch came really quickly, and they met with the others on the way to the restaurant. —What's up? —Samuel was the only one of the three that smiled at both of them—. Amy, cute redhead, I see you're going with us today too. —Yeah, I'm dying to lunch with all of you —the younger smiled. Samuel affirmed with his head and then looked at the front. Summer was there staring at them. She just looked gorgeous in her modern clothing. Using tight jeans and a black shirt with the AC/DC logo, and her hair released was giving her a fresh look. Emma couldn't believe how different she looks without the clothing of the empire, even if she always used pants. Back in the palace, her look was like a charming prince with a woman's body. —Oh my god, Isn't she just gorgeous? —Amy mumbled. If only she knew that even at the distance, Summer can hear her. Emma sighed. —Please, don't do anything embarrassing. —You, meanie —Amy pouted—. I couldn't do such a thing when I'm meeting a goddess.  Right away, Noah and Gale were walking over them. Meanwhile, Nathan and Sean remain quiets.  —Hey. —My! —Samuel ran at the alpha with a great smile—. You look stunning as always, my goddess. Summer just looked at him with bored eyes. —I already told you that you can't call me like that outside —she sighed, massaging her nose. —He's just calling you the way you should be —Amy used to use her glasses to look more intellectual sometimes, even if she was actually pretty smart. So Emma wasn't surprised about it—. Nice to meet you, Summer Abrahams.  She glared at her. —Yeah, whatever —she just turned her back and started walking to the restaurant.  —So cold! —Samuel and Emma complained. Amy smiled. —I didn't expect anything else, she really is hot —she was smiling. Since the first semester, Amy had developed a small interest in the black-haired girl. He had heard all kinds of rumors about her, from her being a heartbreaker to a cold bloodsucking vampire. Nobody knew much about her except that she was always accompanied by one of the men who now walked alongside them in silence. Also, she didn't talk much and skipped classes often. And come to think about it, Emma and she were the first women who have seen near to her since then.  —Did you enjoyed your classes? —Yes, ma'am —Emma smiled at her, touched—. What about you? —Very well too —she glared at Amy—, so this friend of you... How long do you meet each other? —Since the first semester —Emma was worried about the way she looked at her friend. —Right —the alpha looked at Samuel but he didn't look her back—. Did you know she likes me? —Ah? —Emma was surprised—. Did you know?  —Her pheromones —answered in a mumble. It was good to have refined senses, it made it easy to speak in whispers without the rest of the people listening—. They're bothering me.  —You want me to get her out of here? —she asked, softly. —No, she's your friend —said—. Just make sure that she doesn't get too close to me. —Yes, your highness. When they arrived at the restaurant and ordered their respective meals, they chose the usual table and all sat together. Emma was in the middle of Amy and Gale. In front of the three were Noah, Summer, and Nathan. Sean and Samuel were at the sides of the table. —So... How do you guys meet each other? —Amy spoke. Summer looked at them. —They all work for me —she answered and all bowed their heads—, Emma does too. —Huh? Really? I didn't know that you a got a job —she looked at her, Emma smiled—. That's why you move out, isn't it? Where are you living right now, by the way? —She lives in the facilities of my company —Summer talked again. That caught Amy's attention.
