The alpha, the sultan and the omega

The Alpha's birthday.

—Today is our Alpha's birthday. 

Yes, April 13th it's the actual date. Two days had passed since the accident where the alpha saved a little kid and get stabbed. The kid called Kou was a six years old boy, with black hair and blue eyes, small and thin that doesn't talk too much. Idris was taking care of him and their queen, and Emma was helping everyone with the arrangements for the celebration.

—Aren't you, girls, excited? When the sultan said that everyone in the empire is coming, I was so happy —the omega who was talking looked at Emma and the others.

—Why is that? —Emma as the new knows nothing at all about the other omegas. 

—Ah, right, you're new —the other omega laughed—. It's a ball where everyone can go, which means that we're all going to the ball and other males too. Maybe you can pick a husband there.

—Many of us are looking for a husband —the other mumbled.

—She can't pick one, she is the alpha's protected —Alice said with a smile. The lady was a young brunette with green eyes and a jazzy body.

—Ah, you should choose one —the blonde said with a smile and she hugged Emma over her shoulders—. You know, Alice.

—I'm the sultan's favorite.

—Then why you still living down here? —Emma blinked, innocent.

The brunette clenched her jaw.

—You know, you should be careful with your words, young lady —she said—. Or yo-

—Good morning, ladies —the fight was ended before started. 

Emma and the entire harem freeze, before turning to see the brunette who was walking around wearing a beautiful kimono with embroidered cherry blossoms. The woman looked as beautiful and divine as the goddess Venus. And Emma was in shock. The whole harem inclined heads.

—Sultan. 

It was weird. It was rare to see her wearing such elaborate clothing, fine silk, and wearing a long skirt. Being called a sultana and wearing pink makeup and light colors. The black-haired woman seemed from another world.

—I hope you were enjoying the break —she said. Sure, even if she looked so beautiful and gentle, her cold eyes and dry tone of voice didn't change. She looked at her—. Emma, come with me.

—Of course, your highness —she followed her outside the harem. 

He could feel the gaze of the rest of the omegas in the harem, it was an uncomfortable but fascinating sensation. They both stopped when they were in the garden near the stables and the alpha turned to see her.

—You don't have to listen to them —she said.

—I don't —Emma smiled—. I owe you my life, my lady. 

She stared at her.

—Nice thought but you don't owe me anything —the alpha gave her a little smile. It made her feel special—. Oh, Idris —the alpha looked behind her—, where's Kou?

—I asked him to stay in the stables while I was looking for this —he showed her a basket with fruits and food—. Hi, Emma. 

—Hi —she smiled at the brown-haired—. Is that a picnic?

—Yes, and I see that her highness invited you too —he smiled at her.

—Huh? Is that so? She just told me to come with her —she said. Idris saw the alpha and then laughed lightly, the black-haired scratched her cheek with her fingers—. Why are you laughing?

—Sorry. Our Highness isn't very good with words —he excused—, but it's okay. Oh, I left the dress for tonight in your room, by the way. Since both, the alpha and the sultan chose your style and silks it was really easy to accomplish. 

—Ah, it's gonna be pretty, isn't it? —Emma was excited about the ball.

—You're gonna look pretty as well —the alpha said without looking at her. 

Emma was blushing and Idris smiled kindly. 

—The alpha is never wrong —he pointed proudly—. Except when she told me that I love that monkey. 

—You love him —the alpha shook his shoulders—,  you just were unaware at the moment. 

—Yes, yes —he rolled his eyes and smiled—. Kou is really cute, isn't he? 

—Yes —Emma affirmed immediately.

—I talked with Noah, we're gonna adopt him —the alpha said—, Kou will be Khan tomorrow.

—Congratulations, sultans! You're gonna be excellent parents —Idris was happy to hear that.

—Huh? You changed his name —Emma blinked.

The alpha nodded.

—Yes, Khan means Prince in Turkish —Summer answered—. Even if I didn't give birth to him, he would be a prince. Our first son, besides he looks like an interesting combination between the sultan and me —she pointed. 

—Yeah! I thought it was only me who was thinking about that —she smiled—. Then I should say congratulations too, my alpha. The prodigal son has found his way home.

Soleil looked at her silently but a smile popped out on her face.

—Thank you —she said. 

Emma was shocked to see her smile. Her heart raced and her face turned pink.

—You're... You're welcome, your highness.

—When are you gonna introduce him?

—Tonight at the ball —she was happy—. Please, take care of him. I want two guards with him.

—Consider it done, my lady —Idris bowed his head. Of course, he was taking care of the child. 

You never knew what could happen. 

The three of them entered the stables, finding the blue-eyed boy sitting near Abbott. Emma and Idris stayed behind while Soleil walked to him and caressed the horse's face looking at the kid.

—Hello there, you two. 

—Ma.

The alpha crouched in front of him.

—Kou, do you remember last night when you met the sultan and we told you that you'll be our son? You should be able to call me mom, mummy, mother —she raised her shoulders with a cute smile. The boy's eyes were sparkling.

—Yes, mom. 

Soleil covered her face. Damn, that was so cute, she almost faint. 

—Ah, I love you —she sighed and kissed his forehead—. Now, let's go, Khan. We'll have a picnic today because it's my birthday. Look, I bring Idris and Emma to make us some company.

They greeted him with the hands and he smiled softly.

—Now, come here —she extended her arms to the boy—, I'm gonna carry you to the garden.

The child hugged her and let her carry him, it was an honor for Emma to see a different side of the alpha. The way Soleil looked at the little boy and cared for him was impressive and cute.

—Very well, hold on tight —she mumbled to the child—. Shall we go?

—Yes, your highness. 

—Everything is perfect for tonight, your majesty. 

—That's very good —Noah turned himself and smiled. He was wearing a kimono too and it was blue—, I'm happy.

—I can see that —Kenneth smiled—. It's because your desire became real?

—Well, sort of —Noah looked at the town from his balcony—. I did want a son with Soleil with her hair and my eyes but... This wasn't the idea I had about it —he grumbled. 

—Look the bright side. At least you don't have to go through the care and sleeplessness that a baby involves —he raised his shoulders—. I guess that's why Idris and I adopted.

—I was thinking that you two adopted for other reasons —Noah laughed—, but well. I wanted to see Soleil with a pregnant belly, you know.

—Well, it's a good start —Kenneth affirmed—. At least, she's involved with you and now you have a child in common. I know that you named him Khan. 

—Yes, he's our prince —he answered, smiling softly.

When he asked Soleil to introduce him to the boy she had brought with her, he never imagined that she would tell him she wanted to adopt him. Suddenly, he found himself memorizing. 

—This is Kou —she said while carrying him in her own arms—, I want him to be our child. 

—Hi, Kou —he smiled at the child and then at her—. What do you mean, darling?

—You said you wanted to have a child with me, look at him —she showed the boy to him.

Clearly, the first thing he noticed was that his eyes were the same color as his while his black hair made him look like Soleil. He could understand what she was referring to and knew that she wasn't asking him, she was telling him what they would do. After all, she was trusting him. 

—My, my god —he said, smiling—, so we already have a child. Gosh, I think I miss the fun —he looked at her, she was blushed—. You'll need a proper name since you are the sultan's child. 

—I was thinking in Kairos or something with K —she said, sitting with the boy in her legs. 

—Um, let me see —he made his thinking face.

Even though Noah didn't have the looks of a library boy, he enjoyed reading from time to time. A good habit that Soleil had given him many years ago, so he tried to remember the name of some character that resembled what he expected from a son. And since it had to start with K... 

—I think Khan it's a good name for him —he approached them and sat next to her, looking at the boy's face—. It means prince or maximum governor. 

—Good choice —she smiled at him and looked at the boy—. Do you like it? 

—Khan is a Turkish name —pointed Noah with a smile.

The boy frowned.

—As the turkey? 

—Ah, yes, but the country —he said with a comprehensive smile—, you'll see. We could be in America but we actually proceed from the ottoman turkish empire. That's why we're sultans.

—Don't start with your political lessons, please —Soleil laughed. 

—I like your laugh —the boy mumbled, shyly.

—I love her laugh too —the sultan told him—, let's be a team that makes her laugh every day. 

—Yes!

—Good, Khan —he smiled—. I am Noah, by the way, but you can call me dad, daddy, pops, father, or whatever.

—Okay, whatever, we should get going. This kiddo needs to sleep —the black-haired laughed. 

—Don't call me that —he pouted.

—But you said it —she was smiling and he was too happy to see her like that—. I'll wait for you.

—Alright, I  won't make you wait long —he saw them go away and smiled. 

Yes, perhaps the boy was not his son or his wife's, but they both would love him as if he were and would give the baby wolf a good life. Back in the present, he shook his head and looked at Kenneth with a smile.

—I should apologize, I was in my memories —he said. 

—Don't worry —Kenneth smiled—, I'm happy the things are working just great. 

—Yeah, me too —he smiled. 

His eyes running to find his family, finding Idris and the others in the garden making a picnic.

—I think I made a good decision. 

—Indeed, your majesty. 

The sultan smiled while looking at Emma. 

—Then everyone's coming —she said. 

—I thought it was your idea.

—Our alpha doesn't enjoy too much be seen —answered Idris with a smile. 

Little Khan was sitting next to her but in silence, just looking at the desserts.

—Why is that?

—There's always a reason for everything with you, isn't it? —she looked at Emma. 

The hazel-eyes girl blushed.

—I'm sorry, I'm way too curious.

—Yeah, I can relate —she laughed softly—. Don't worry, there's no need to. And to answer your doubt, I actually don't like to be seen because people are always talking about something. When they see me, the mumbles get me over. 

—It's because you're always attentive to everything that happens in the empire?

—Indeed.

—It must be hard —she sighed—. I couldn't do that. 

—Well, you don't have to —she smiled at her—, but you do —she said looking at him.

The little kid blinked a couple of times while eating a cupcake and then nodded.

—Prince, you're too cute —she let out a groan—. Someday, I'll take you to the modern world.

—I thought the heirs weren't allowed to go outside —Emma looked at Idris.

—Since he is the alpha and the sultan's child, he could do what he wants —he answered.

—That's right, but only if we both approve it —she pointed at the child with a smile—. Okay?

The boy nodded again, swallowing the cupcake.

—Damn, he's so cute —Emma sighed—, I am really happy for your highness. 

—Thanks, Emma, means a lot —the alpha bowed her head—. And you, don't eat too much sugar. 

—But mom-

—No, I won't fall for your cute puppy eyes —she mumbled—. I used to be you, little brat.

—Mom...

—No.

—Mommy.

—Nope.

—Mommy, mommy —he pouted.

Emma and Idris were already fallen. 

—Oh, the puppy eyes —a third voice made them get out of the trance—, my. I go out for a couple of years and yet I missed the first six years from the royal heir. These are big news —the black-haired man with black eyes and long hair was smiling kindly while looking at the alpha—. Won't you say hello to your old brother?

—¡Isaac! 

—Oh, Dianne —Noah smiled—. What a wonder to see you here. 

The blonde girl raised her eyes to the man with the blue kimono and smiled too. 

—Hello, Noah. It's been a while —they embraced—, I'm happy to see you again.

—Yeah, me too. Where's Isaac? —he looked to the rest of the place.

—In the garden, I think —she replied—. He said he was going to meet Soleil out there. Ah, I wish I had those marvelous superpowers you have, guys —she sighed and Noah laughed—. Don't laugh.

—Sorry, it's just a little funny you wish something like that —he kept smiling—, I'll get someone to organize your chambers.

—That's not necessary, we're not gonna stay much longer —she shook her head—, Isaac already made reservations in a hotel in the human world. I'm sorry.

—Don't worry —Noah sighed—. I know that he doesn't like this life, so it's already too much that he has come to her birthday. Means a lot. 

—I don't know how he can depreciate this place —she was always surprised by the beauty inside the walls of the castle—, it is so beautiful and magical. 

—We can understand —Noah raised his shoulders—. By the way, I was just going to meet with the sultan Soleil and our baby wolf. Come with me —he extended her his arm to her—. Let's go. 

—Your baby wolf? —She smiled. 

—Oh, yeah, the prince Khan I of Autumn —he was smiling—. It's our son, he has six years. 

—Wow, I didn't know you had a baby wolf —she showed her surprised face—. Is he cute?

Noah laughed softly.

—That's true, nobody knows —he answered—, um... We're gonna introduce him tonight. 

 —Huh? So this ball is going to be really interesting —she smiled—. I wish we could stay. 

—Why don't you?

—Oh, we're just gonna be until midnight and then we have to go back to the hotel —she commented—. I have to work so we're flying back to Paris tomorrow night. 

—Oh.

The two blondes saw each other awkwardly.

—Well, you know that you two can come to visit whenever you like it —he smiled. 

And she nodded.

—¡Isaac! 

Soleil jumped to hug him immediately, and the older hug her too. Although she was surprised to see him there, she could not miss the opportunity to hug her brother and the only family she had left.

—Hello, little sister —he smiled—. How are you?

—My! I'm pretty good, what about you? What a surprise to see you! —she pulled him away to see him and smiled too—. Did you come alone or you brought Dianne?

—She is inside, I wanted to say hello to you first —he looked at the kid who was hiding behind them—, I presume this is my little nephew. Why didn't you tell me I was already uncle? I could come more often —he scolded her softly and smirked—. Hi, little fella.

—Come here, sweetie —Soleil grabbed the kid's hand and pointed to Isaac—. This is your uncle Isaac, he's my older brother. 

—My pleasure, my little prince —he bowed his head at the little boy—. You can call me uncle Isa.

—I... I am Khan —he mumbled with a tender face. 

—Oh god, he's so soft. I can barely look at him —Isaac looked at his sister—. He's too cute. Congratulations on your baby wolf, princess Soleil. 

—Thank you, Isaac —she smiled. 

—It's good to see you again, Idris —he stretched hands with the beta and smiled—. And you... I don't know you, you must be new. My name is Isaac Autumn, I'm the alpha's elder brother. 

—You're my only brother —she sighed.

Emma caught the bad atmosphere and stretched her hand to reach Isaac's hand and shake it. 

—My pleasure, sir Isaac. I am Emma and yes, I'm new —she laughed softly—. His majesty and your highness, the alpha, rescued me a couple of weeks ago. The pleasure is all mine. 

—Oh, talking about it, where's his father? —he asked Soleil. 

—I'm right over here, brother in law —the two blondes and Kenneth appeared—. Nice to see you.

The black-haired man approached to hug him. 

—I can't say the same —the black-haired glared at him—. How it is possible that you didn't have the guts to tell me I already had a nephew. 

—Ah —Noah laughed, awkward—. Sorry about that, I just discovered it last night. 

—Ah?

Soleil sighed and invited everyone to have sit, meanwhile she was explaining to him about Khan. The way the little wolf was being hunted by a human crew on the southern territories, how she was stabbed when rescued him and how did she manage to get back with magic to their walls outside with the boy. Emma was amazed by the story. 

—You haven't been stabbed in a while —Isaac sighed—. What did I tell you about getting out of the reserve by yourself?

—First, you didn't want me to came and then you don't want me to go out —she rolled her eyes.

—Don't even bring that theme —he showed his fangs. 

To your mental picture, Soleil and Isaac were in front of each other while Noah and Dianne were at the left side of their partners, Emma and Idris were on the two sides and the little Khan was eating the cupcakes at the center of the picnic tablecloth. The tension could be cut with a knife.

—Ehem... Dontcha wanna a cupcake, y'all?

Soleil looked at Emma and sighed.

—Khan, I already warned you about the sugar —was the only thing she answered. 

The prince had full his mouth and just stared at her startled.

—And yet, we're going to introduce him as our child —Noah cleared his throat and gazed at the two jet-haired alphas—. So I hope you all have good behavior, especially you two. 

—Today is my birthday number twenty-four, of course, I'll behave —she raised her head.

—Even if I don't want to be too involved with the empire, I came to celebrate my little sister's birthday and the announcement of my nephew —he answered. They were sparkling with anger.

Emma coughed.

—Sorry, I was choking —she excused herself—. So, about the ball, how is it gonna be?

—Well, the omegas as you and the others will be in a designed corner to you all. There you'll be going to find Kendra and the other young omegas in the pack —Soleil told her—. The royal family will be at the top of everyone and the other families will be on the rest of the room, I presume.

—So I cannot talk with you?

—Perhaps the deltas or betas around you but we won't approach you —Noah said.

—Why?

—It's against the rules —Idris commented—. If you were a concubine you could be at the places with the favorites and the sultans spent the night.

—I don't get it —Dianne was confused—. Where are we going?

—You'll gonna sit with us —replied Noah, looking at her with a soft smile—. Since your husband belongs to the royal family, like it or not. 

—You'll see —the alpha whispered to her. 

Emma smiled a thank you for her. 

Well, it was true that she would see it. The ballroom was huge, as big as an entire castle hall and enough to accommodate all the members of the empire right there. And there was still plenty of space. At the top was a large table, on it Sultan Noah in the center and at his side was Soleil. They both looked so good, in suits and ball gowns, their gazes filled with joy and serenity.

—This place is huge —Kendra was amazed.

—Yeah. I didn't realize it when we were making the arrangements for the ball —she commented. 

Her eyes were still focused on that table. On Noah's right side were a young blond man and a red-haired girl. While on Soleil's left side were Isaac and Dianne. They were too handsome too.

—You helped?

—Of course, I did.

The table was guarded by Kenneth on Soleil's side and Idris on Sultan Noah's side. Next to Idris was Sean and next to Kenneth, Samuel was talking quietly. And if he turned his face a little forward he could see a new table with six children, including Khan. 

—Even if you're so lazy, that's impressive —Kendra made fun of her.

—I'm still lazy but I have to follow the rules here —she replied, calmly.

Near the table that he assumed were the heirs of the Sultan, there was a table with four women who were laughing and Reyham at their side. She supposed that was the concubine's table.

—Well, even if that's real, you can't deny this is a good life —Kendra sighed. 

—Now you think that but still, you were such a jerk at the beginning —she laughed softly.

—Hey, that wasn't my fault. I was brainwashed by Farrell —he murmured.

—The hell you were —she clicked her tongue. 

If she kept looking, there was a large space in the room that was considered the dance floor.

—I'm serious —he said. 

—I know, don't worry  —she smiled at him—. I'm happy you're doing okay now.

—Yeah, I'm happy too —he smiled too. 

There were ten different families/packs in the room, including the royal family and the Atari family where they cared for Kendra. They all looked cheerful and happy. Even there, at the table designated for omegas. Sure, children were a bit far from teenagers and young adults.

—I think this party is a success —said Noah, looking at her—. What do you think? Do you like it?

—Everything looks perfect —she answered, smiling—. Thank you.

—I was waiting for something else —he pouted.

She laughed and kissed his lips fast, before looking at the front again with her rosy cheeks.

—That's it —he was blushed too—. I think we should announce our son before the dessert.

—Just now? They're all eating —she mumbled. 

—That's why is perfect —he replied. 

Soleil looked at him and then sighed, nodding. With Noah and the rest of the family he had announced the harem in the afternoon, no one else knew and everyone had been told that he was their son. But they had kept the secret until he was the right age and they believed it was now. Soleil called to Idris with her hand and pointed at the kid. 

—So that's the sultan's heir?

—Yeah, Noah said that he looks exactly to them —Ayze was smiling—. And it's true. 

—Have you seen his eyes? As blue as the sultan's —Narges was happy—. So she was actually taking care of her husband, huh.

—Right? —Ayze laughed—. And we all thought they weren't spending time together. 

—I heard by the sultan Soleil the kid was living in a wolf pack for his own safety —Narges said.

—Oh? So it was raised by wolves —she was amazed—, like the alpha. How smart of her.

Reyham sharpened her eyes and looked at the kid sitting with her children.

—So your name is Khan —Brighton was looking at him without enthusiasm.

—Mm-hm, what's yours? —he looked at the older one.

—I'm Brighton, Reyham's son. These are my little brothers —he pointed at the twins—, Leo and Chris. 

—Hello —they greeted him.

—She's the Ayze's daughter, Faith —he said, pointing to the only girl—. And the little one is Max.

—He's a baby —Khan was amazed—, so you're all my brothers?

—That's right —Brighton sighed. 

It was complicated. His whole short life was confusing, his mother assured him that he would be the sultan when his father was absent but he did not want to think that his father would ever die. He also had two mothers, although Reyham always told him that he should not think of Soleil as his mother. His father always told her that she was his mother and Soleil always treated all of them as if they were her children.

—Master Khan, you're mother is asking you to come with me for a while —Idris showed up.

—Oh —the kid stopped to eat and looked at him—, okay —he smiled.

Brighton was not a bad boy but he appeared to be a selfish, cold, and selfless boy. Still, Soleil seemed to see through him so easily, and she didn't judge him. That's why deep down, he loved her so much.

—If you excuse me —the prince bowed his head as the adults told him to and retired with Idris.

Soleil smiled at him when he approached them, Noah decided to hold hands with her, and then they reunited with the wolverine. They were standing up in front of everyone. 

—The sultans, Noah, and Soleil of Autumn, want to make an official announcement —Idris called everyone's attention—. Your majesty, your highness —he bowed his head and turned away from them.

—Good night, everyone —Noah started—. It's a great pleasure to see everyone came to celebrate my sweet wife's birthday. 

People clapped and whistled happily.

—I am very happy to see you all on this day —Soleil remained calm and kind—. I appreciate your good wishes and the kindness that you have given to me all these years. Since it's the 10th anniversary of our reign, we are very happy to introduce you to the prime heir of the crown. 

—The prince Khan I of Autumn, our son —finished Noah, smiling happily.
