Ayva had gathered herself up from the bush and had continued with her journey. She was full of the thought that if she was going to die she would at least live another day to prove to the people of Sepha of her innocence. She staggered like a drunkard and before long she was on a dusty road and she knelt there. Her throat was dry and her eyes were brown. The dusty road was becoming even more dusty to her in particular. She dragged herself up and continued walking.
In Sepha and inside the room of Saya, she was looking out the window to see the flames in the home of Asa and she shook her head. She was sure that wherever Asa might be she would be having her in her mind as someone that brought her so much sorrow and agony. She sat back on her bed and kept glaring at her the portion on the table. The same portion she gave to Asa to use. She had always envied Asa and the fact that she was more recognised than her in Sepha but she was not expectant of what happened to her. She would have wanted her dead not banished for someone that gets banished from a land have a chance of returning any time. Saya was more worried because she knew that if Asa was to take revenge on her she would be totally in her mercy. She rose once again and stepped outside, only to come face to face with a lady who was standing alone in her compound. Saya looked around to make sure the lady was the only one there and so she asked, "Who are you and what are you doing there?" Upon her asking this the lady disappeared and Saya ran back in only to find the same lady seated on her bed. Saya screamed and decided not to run further and decided to stand her ground and know who had come to her. The lady motioned her to sit and Saya hesitated before taking her seat with her eyes not going away from the woman.
"Who are you and what do you want?" asked Saya and the woman sighed and spoke, "You have been recognised. Your work has been recognise in Jimma and I have been sent to you, to invite you to our circle. You have shown true power and true wickedness and that is what we need in Jimma. If dark magic is to be a norm in the world then we need people like you to encourage it, to encourage our movement. I need you to know that I am willing to take you with me if you are ready now back to Jimma where you will be welcomed and made an offer. You will like this offer because you have a heart that we need and we have powers that you need. So what do you say?"
"You said you are from Jimma?" asked Saya and the lady nodded.
"I would like to ask without annoying anyone but where does the people of Jimma get their magical powers?" After Saya had asked this the lady stood up. "You are asking a question that will not help you. Thousands of years a great evil visited the earth through the cave in the boundary of Gazza which is now called Sepha and Abeme kingdoms. You see, her coming opened the eyes of the likes of you and me and all those who have chosen the part of darkness. Asa is our origin" said the lady before he moved closer to the door. Saya stood up and went closer to her. "Take me with you?" she said and he lady turned to look at her.
"Are you sure of what you are saying?" She asked.
"I am. down here people who love someone I set up are not happy with me. I better live in the circle of those like me than remain in this kingdom. I want you to know too that I will make the Jimma's proud" Said Saya and the lady decided to take her with her. Saya was then talking about how to gather her belonging when the lady touched her and they both disappeared.
Asa arrived in Jimma and when she arrived she decided to pay a visit to the mistress of the town in her aboard as she had been directed by those she spoke to. Most of the people of Jimma were sorcerers and those who were not yet sorcerers were learning how to become one.
When Asa reached the house of the mistress of Jimma she was told that the mistress of Jimma was having a meeting with someone inside her house and so Asa waited outside.
Inside the room of the mistress of Jimma she was seen discussing with Saya who had recently been brought by one of the mistresses followers. The mistress asked Saya some questions after which she asked to stretch forth her hands and she did. The mistress having realised that Saya had known some of the secrets of dark magic felt she did not need any more training like the novice instead she was given her mantle at that very point. She was to be the one who screens new comers to ascertain if they are eligible enough to become part of the circle. This position was an important one and after they had finished Saya went into the room which was given to her by the mistress and the mistress came out to meet with the person that she was told was waiting for her. Upon seeing Ayva the mistress enquired to know who she was and one of her followers told her that they found her on a road leading to their land and decided to bring her in. The mistress inspected Ayva and kept on looking at her. Ayva wanted to speak but she was not sure of what to say and she just opened her mouth and kept quite. The lady that brought her in went closer to the mistress and whispered something to her. The mistress nodded and then spoke, "You want to be part of us?' she asked.
"I do not know. I am thirsty and hungry and would like something to eat" said Ayva.
"Say the other part" said the one that brought her.
"I used to be a medicine woman in my land before I was accused of something I knew nothing about and was banished. I found myself wanting to be here and when one of your followed saw me dying on that road she picked me up and here I am" After Ayva had explained this the mistress then told the one that brought her to take her to Saya who would examine her and determine if she was qualified enough to be one of them. The follower took Ayva to the back of the house and to the room of Saya.
When the door flew open Ayva's jaw dropped and Saya could not believe her eyes. They both kept on staring at each other until Saya found herself and spoke. "Who is this?" she asked and the lady that brought her in told Saya her name and Saya who could not understand why she had to ask that question knowing fully well who Ayva was shook her head once again and then spoke to Ayva, "What do you want here?" Ayva did not say a word, she slowly turned and began to walk away. She left the house and the mistress was informed. The mistress never tried to understand why she left the way she did and Saya on the other hand remained seated and kept wondering how on earth Ayva was able to locate Jimma or how on earth fate brought them together in the same town. She stood up, knowing fully well that Ayva was going to do something terrible but she knew too that with her in Jimma and in the house of the mistress of Jimma Ayva can never find any other source of power to defeat her. She knew that Ayva, despite her powers could never in any way think of using dark magic to fight her for she knew quite alright that Ayva was a good person. The person that brought in Ayva explained to Saya that Ayva only asked for water and food and must have sought to be part of the team because of hunger and nothing else. After Saya had heard this she was relieved and so she sat and sighed.
Ayva left Jimma and there was something like a new strength in her. She felt this power within her and she felt energised once again. She felt that Saya had been her tormentor all these while and through her she had lost everything. She was walking and talking to herself. At a point she decided to enter into a bar and although she had no money with her she needed to eat something. She walked into the bar and was served some food and drink. She was eating and drinking voraciously until she noticed that all eyes were on her and she paused and raised her head to look at them. She bent down once again and continued eating. The bar man came forward and stood before her, offering her a list containing the prices of the things she ordered for. She took the list and after looking at it nodded and continued eating. After a while the bar man then drew her attention once again and shook the list for her to do something about it and Ayva collected it from him and after glaring at it for the second time asked the bar man to stoop so she could whisper something to him. The bar man bent down and Ayva told him that she had no money with her. The bar man raised himself up to look at her disgustingly and then seized a whip and began to threaten her with it. "You pay me right now and I let you go. You do not pay me my money and I will be forced to make sure you do not leave here alive young lady" After the bar man had said these words Ayva looked around to see that the attention of all those at the bar had been drawn to her, sighed and picked one of the meat and put it in her mouth.
