As John tied Kimberli face down onto the bed, his hands trembled as he tightened the knots. Whatever she had done he did not know, but he could discern she was guilty of something. After all the years they had been together, she was still an unskillful liar. All it took to detect her deception was for him to observe her mannerisms. He would've smiled if he wasn't so furious, her tells were so blatant he wondered why she bothered to lie at all. Her voice became high and pitchy, and her gestures were overly expressive.
