"Are you alright, Sir?" Amelia asked as she dropped Damien's cup of coffee.
He looked up at her and gave a brief nod. In all the years he's been alive, he'd never experienced such great pain in his head or gotten a mind-bending revelation that shook him for hours.
He could still remember it so visibly, it felt like his head would split open. It was a distinct warning of what he had to do and the exact consequences that would take place if he doesn't comply.
"I wanted to ask you something, Sir" Amelia's voice came and the flashes in his head disappeared instantaneously.
He once again looked up at her and gave her the go-ahead to talk "how's the woman that was attacked by that animal doing?" She let out softly with a slightly mortified look like she just witnessed the assault again.
