"Veronica allegedly filed for leave." Sabrina

I looked at her as I was arranging a paper. "Just now?"

"The day it happened to Sofia, it was one week away."

I just nodded at her. "I can't locate Veronica," Xyrus groaned. "And that Lexie, she's not mysterious, but it's just amazing why she still has to work as your secretary when they're rich."

"Wait, who's Lexie?" suddenly, she looked at me. "Are you cheating?"

I was surprised when she said, "Hell. Your impossible, Sab," I replied here.

"What? I'm just asking."

"Lexie Cantal is the new Secretary of Alex. And she's my next target," Kit said while grinning.

We were just shaken by what Kit said.

"Why did you choose to work here if you can be the boss in your company?" I immediately asked her when she handed me my schedule.

"That's my parent's company; it's not mine. And I have my own life. Why do I have to work there if I'm not the one who worked for my position there."

After I looked at the schedule, I handed it to her again. I felt her hand touch mine. "Your married?"

She asked me as she got that schedule tab looking at my hand with the ring. "Don't forget that I'm your boss here. You can only ask me something when it's about work. And yes, I'm married; you can go back to your work."

She smiled at me and left my office.

Suddenly I called the head of HR on the phone.

"Why did you hire her?"

"Sir .."

"I wanted a male secretary."

"I'm sorry, sir. We still can't find a man who fits your needs; she's the only one who passed. And you need a secretary."

"Ts!" I take it down.

As I was eating, I noticed that Sofia was just stunned; Sofia had lost weight because of what she was doing.

"Please eat again, and you're losing your weight."

She still doesn't listen to me. "This situation is tiring."

Suddenly she looked at me. "Are you tired? Why me too, uh? But am I complaining ?."

I would have held her hand as it stood. "If you want to break up, just say so right away.

I was annoyed when she said, "Simple for you to say that. It's not bad to get tired, but that doesn't mean I want to break up, Sofia you can't see I'm trying my best here?"

"What best, Alex? Because I can't see it even a little."

That's hurt my ego "Because you won't let yourself. Do you know why? Because you shut me out of your life the day, we lost a child!"

Suddenly her tears flowed. "Alex, the child I lost- us. What do you expect just 3days or 3weeks? Will I be okay? My gosh!" I suddenly combed my hair with my hand out of frustration.

"I know we have the different pain because you carried her for eight months, but I'm also a father who lost a child. It hurts me, but I'm trying to be okay because I still have you. But it seems like it's hard because I'm feeling, I feel I lost you too."

She wiped her tears. "You know how painful it is every time I see you, and it's hard, Alex. It is hard because I think I disappointed you guys."

"Stop blaming yourself; how can you ease the pain when you think that it's your fault-"

"Because it is. It's my fault even if you don't say it; I know it's all my fault if I hadn't been careless and followed everything I shouldn't have done. I hope he's still here."

"Stop it, Sofia! Stop blaming yourself!"

She bit her lip so hard. "I'm sorry" after she said that she ran away to the bedroom.

I chased her, but she suddenly closed the door "Sofia! Open the door! We promise for better or for worse we still have each other, but why are you fighting this alone? You still have me, babe. Please? Open the door."

I was startled when I heard a noise inside. I tried to kick the door to open it, but it wouldn't open. "Manang the spare key!" I shouted.

Just a few seconds later, manang arrived; she handed me the key.

I quickly opened the door; when it opened, Sofia was sitting on the floor with a cracked vase next to her. "What happens?" I was worried when I asked her I was close to her.

She probably hit the vase, so it fell because she wasn't injured. She was just looking at what he was holding. "No," that's all I heard from her when she hugged me.

She was crying again, "I'm sorry for what I said. Sorry," while I caressed her back.

"I killed her," he said suddenly.

I let go of her hug, and I faced her. "No. It's not your fault" she handed me something.

"Aleeeeex, I'm sorry."

I looked at it.

Out of anger, I hit the floor with what I found out.

Sofia

He stood up, and I could see the anger on his face. It came out of the room, so confused I stood up and chased him.

Right, when I came out, Kit stopped Alex; they just got home. "What happens?" Sabby asked in astonishment.

"Fvck!" Alex said softly. "Find Veronica! Even if she's in hell, find her!"

"Wait! What's the issue?" Kit.

I was still crying; I approached Sabby and hugged her. "Sabby ... I can't."

Sabrina

I was surprised by Sofia, so I looked at Alex. "We found out that Veronica gave Sofia another medicine. That's why she miscarried."

We all fell silent, and we could only hear Sofia moaning.

"I'll make her pay for what she did," Alex said. We know he's mad, but we have to find Veronica before Alex because I'm sure he can kill her.

When Sofia fell asleep on the sofa because of her crying, Alex carried her to the bedroom first.

"Kit. You take care of FGC. First, I can't leave my wife. My wife needs me more now" Xyrus looked at us. "Make sure you'll find her as soon as possible."
