Chapter 93- Rose is too naïve for her own good Part 1

“That’s it?” I asked in surprise… 

It was really surprising. Here I thought I would have to ask. Not to mention I was already with other girls… Why does things go so smoothly with me?

“Why? don't you want to? She is beautiful, and strong too, not to mention she is still pure… you will have to deal with that….. Temper a bit though.”

“Wha!?” Rose, who couldn’t follow the current topic, was frozen.

“No, Miss Rin, I was actually wanting to ask for her from you. since I heard that Miss Rin was like her mother and also that she should agree to any man if Miss Rin wants it, so I was caught off guard.” Hearing me Rin looked surprised too..

What was this? Was Rose in so much trouble that even Miss Rin wanted to ask me to take care of her? As a matter of fact… I now really want to know the reason. On the other hand the damsel in distress only looked over Me and Miss Rin with bewilderment as we clearly talked over her future not even looking at her opinion. I wonder if this is what girls look like when they see that they are going to get an arranged marriage.

As Miss Rin and I both came to the same answer that me and her had the same opinion about helping Rose out, she said,

“Hmm… I see that Leila was trying to help too huh?”

“Well…. There is more to that…..” I can’t actually say that Leila was trying to get more girls… for me… in a way not getting any unfamiliar girls, she wanted the girls she knew to join…. 

I did say that I will not be in a hurry, even if I can go that long.. I don’t want to choose my partners only for s****l pleasures but she said that she would get the number of my fiancées at least in 2 digits no matter what. It was apparent that she was serious about it and 

Since Rose was close with Leila as her junior from her student days, Leila’s first choice was her.

“Still I am truly happy that Rose can get married to Rekka, I hope you take good care of her.”

“Of Course, thanks for your blessings!” at last seeing that we were practically fixing her life, she got out of her trance and shouted in embarrassment.

“What in the world are you guys even doing?!”

“Rose, you will leave with Sir Rekka today and start living with him, even if you get married to him, I want you to be his personal knight! You understand me?” Rin said in a commanding voice.

“Yes ma’am!..... Wait! No, I said that out of habit!!!`` Since Rose always accepted what Rin said without a second thought by habit she answered yes… still realizing her error she tried to reject it only to get a mocking grin from Rin.

“A knight must not break her word.” Rin said with a peaceful face. Rose looked like she was in misery…

“Yes… Ma’am.” looking at Rose answering Teary eyed I felt a bit bad, I was a bit uncertain… is she in love with someone else? Or does she really hate me that much?

“Rose, if you really don’t want  this to happen just say it, I promise I won’t ask you again.” 

“......”

“Since Rekka has given you a chance, you should speak your mind. But if you reject him now this chance will never come and you will be sent to Stein to find a noble man and be wedded. Maybe he will be middle aged or look like a weakling not to mention since he will be a noble, he might not be the best character. And I will obviously not come to help you at that time.” What's this? The story just got big… moreover, I think Miss Rin has a very low opinion of nobles… I do too, so I will ignore that.

“Wait, what is all this about marrying a noble man?”

“Rekka doesn't know? I thought you already knew?” Rin asked in surprise.

“I have no idea what you are talking about.” As I said wanting to learn of the information I Was missing, Miss Rin started explaining.

“You remember the fight with the Duke in Stein? That family doesn't have any more people alive, the sole successor of that family is Rose. so the Stein kingdom has requested her to go and take a noble man to produce a new heir. Since she is a girl, she can’t be the new Duchess. Since it was her obligation, not fulfilling it would make her a traitor of the Stein kingdom and since we were in an Alliance now, keeping a traitor with us will only damage relationships. The nobles are a hard bunch to please, so this early on, we don’t want any more problems. Since the post of Duke is of most importance, even the Overlord said to send Rose to Stein and do as they told her to do… it is a really sticky situation ....”

“Then where do I come in here?” That was true, since I am not a Stein citizen or a noble, where do I come in this equation?

“You forgot? You have the Honorary Medal- Imperial grace, that medal means that you are an eternal Ally of the nation. Not only that, if you produce an heir from the nobles of the Stein Kingdom, they will automatically get a post of noble hood in Stein. That medal is a sacred honor given from the  Stein kingdom…. So I was wondering, if you didn’t know all this, then why'd you come for Rose?” Rin asked, tilting her head.

“That’s easy, I like her.” Also so that I could get another Fiancée too, after others declaring to increase their numbers who am I to stop! I didn’t say all this of course, I am not a saint to always speak the truth.

“W-well I guess… that is fine… Rose you should rejoice! Rekka didn’t come to take you out of pity it seems.”

“Miss Rin please, I would never do that… but, If I had known that Rose was in that kinda situation, I would have tried to help too… I wonder why no one told me..” as I was saying, Rose suddenly spoke up.

“Alright, I will be your personal knight…. But” Rose at last breaking out of silence said so.

“But nothing, even if you say you won't be my wife, I could just force you.” I said bluntly… I am not a good guy you know? I was still holding back with the maids, out of my guilt but I won’t hold back for my official fiancée. Moreover I have already forced Systy into a relationship. For girls, I don’t want to hold back, I would not hold back at all. That was my principle.

“How can you do such unknightly things!” Rose bursted in anger.

“Sadly I am no knight, and I don't think like one too.”

“Rose, not every warrior out there is an honest man you know?” Rin said. Rose was a stubborn one, so I guess this was inevitable…. But since it was close to evening, we stopped our argument and moved towards Miss Rin’s mansion. I was going to stay the night here. And tomorrow we will leave. Since we were guests and Gramps had more work left, I also waited. It wouldn’t be good to abruptly leave.

“Master, how is the current knight order?” Rin Asked Gramps while we were having tea. 

“It seems some good knights have been recruited this year.”

“Well, since Rekka’s debut, many youngsters have wanted to follow in his example, but now after hearing he was a swordsman who could cut down an entire army, they have also started to devote themselves to swords… I think they would want to make a connection to Rekka at this point…. A warrior in a sword like him hasn’t ascended to this world since you retired after all.”

“Well I have to disappoint them, I am changing my main combat style and I will not fight with a sword.” I said sighing….

“What!” Gramps looked in astonishment.

“Don’t worry… I found a better weapon suited to me than a sword.. Today, I figured out how to change Amanori’s shape thanks to training with Miss Rin. And based on her lecture, I found a better combat style suited for me.” Gramps looked surprised…

“Master, is it really easy to suddenly change one's combat style?” Rin asked Gramps in amazement showing in her face.

“Certainly not…. Are you sure you're not making a mistake Rekka?”

“Well, I have to see what happens, still it is not that I won’t be using a sword at all. I will just make it my secondary choice.”

“Then what weapon are you choosing?” Rin asked.

“It would be easier to show you.” I was still waiting for the System to get the analyzing done on guns.

“Alright… but I think it will be something surprising… again. From the moment you started using magic your usage of the sword had already lessened… but it can’t be helped.” Gramps had an exhausted look on his face… 

Moving to other subjects Miss Rin said,

“Besides that, Rekka, I do not like seeing my daughter like that, go and get her to fall for you.” Rin said so, looking at the corner of the room. 

Rose looked or rather was glaring at me from her usual place…. Even after we invited her she had some tea and went there again. She really wanted to stay away from me.

“It’s not like I'm a professional you know?” I only had a good face, maybe a bit of a kind personality but I didn’t have any sort of plans on how to seduce girls… 

well the plans that I was taught were more worthy to do in bed not in public… Mai and my Granny were very thorough about me knowing how to please a woman in bed…. 

I really wonder how they could advise me on that stuff with a straight, serious face…

“Said the one who nearly bedded the Saint of the church in one meeting.” Rin said, looking at me mockingly…

“Wha- you knew about that?” I know I had done something outside of expectations…. But Janes’s moans were loud enough to let the matter out among my maids… but I never thought that even Rin would find out. 

As if remembering something even more evil about me, Rose looked at me with even more hatred…. Defiling the saint in the 1st meeting must be like an act of devil for Rose…

“Oh ho ho, of course, the untouchable saint couldn’t last one meeting with the new Hero Rekka wolford. His charms are as potent as Lady Melinda. You know, Lady Melinda was known as the dominator of young innocent Ladies, still it seems after finding you, she has now taken a back seat.” 

“What? Is that why she always tries to teach me how to seduce girls and how to break strong willed girls…. Those must be Granny's fet…. I mean granny must like those….” 

I don’t want to face reality… my granny is hellbent on making me her successor…. Greatest philanderer in history wasn’t even a guy… this world was twisted long before even I had descended.

“I don’t have the will to stop her, so I will overlook this.” My gramps was too afraid to stop my granny… and… I actually took those lessons with much appreciation…

“So since you realized that you are destined to succeed Lady Melinda, go and take down your target.” Miss Rin cheered me on like a friend giving confidence to another friend.…. She was definitely a sadist underneath.

“Sigh…. I wouldn’t take a girl who hates my guts you know? I am not a sadist… more to the matter… would that really work now? Rose really looks displeased...”

“I am thankful that you did not readily agree.” Gramps looked like he still had faith in me not becoming completely like granny…..

“Hmm you are still green, your granny would have already conquered that naïve girl…” Rin who was speaking nonsense….. Was comparing me with granny…. I feel kinda weird being compared like that….

[That woman really taught you well, seeing how you played with women even with less experience, it can’t be denied that you are to follow her path.]

“Sigh… even Amanori…”
