My irregularities surpass Reality.

Chapter 31- Prepare to see the true comfort foods!!

“‘Rekka, I might be bothering you but we have already run out of things to sell.’ Miss Leila’s letter only mentioned this much. Master, do you want to go and visit the guild?” Mai said as she brought me the juice and the letter in tow.

I was resting in my room, not even out of my casual wear. It was clear that I didn’t want to leave home today, maybe since I just came from the capital yesterday...

“Meeting Leila huh….” as I said that I felt my face getting redder.. I may have tried to be all flirty with her but now that I think about meeting her again… the memory really makes me embarrassed.

“What is it, master?” Mai asked again.

“No… nothing, well lunch time is still far off, why don’t I go and give her the next portion of stuff..”

“Systy is off with another task as such I will accompany you master.” I did see her leave after Mai came in. I wonder where she went.

“Sure, but please wear something else.” I bowed my head and said to her in the most begging sounding way I could say.

 Mai heaved a sigh and went to change into her normal clothes. I am glad that she can be understanding.

“N-nice to meet you again, Miss Leila…” I said, I tried to sound normal but looking at Leila, I got even more embarrassed. Unlike the other day, she was wearing her usual clothes that were very much suited to being a guild master. Even now she was captivating. I am starting to think that she might be someone I won’t be able to oppose in the future.

“Yes, nice to meet you again, I sold the rest of the products that I had, so I was thinking of you…. I mean I was thinking if you could get me some more…” Leila had said something weird but she covered it up before I could think about it and asked for more things… I guess my products were flying off the shelf in a literal way. It had only been 3 to 4 days since I gave her a whole bunch but the products were gone…

“Wow… these things really sell well… here, the next batch. I hope I am not troubling you too much by making you work for me… I will surely make it up to you.” I said to Leila as we exchanged things from my storage to hers.

“It is not a problem… Rekka… you really went and got the spirit didn’t you?”

“Yes, I was able to get the spirit.” hearing me Leila sighed. 

“Truly… as the heroes grandson you're certainly not just kidding around… I hope we will get the help of your power to protect the human lands.” as Leila said that I nodded.

“I can’t say I will help everyone out there but at least the ones I know of… I will always try to help them. If you ever feel the need, don’t hesitate to ask.”

“Ha ha, For some reason you really sound dependable even for your age… well it was nice meeting you, I will ask for more when I get low on your products again.”

Leila said and stood up to go out. It was a short meeting but it was enough.. Meeting Leila was really soothing… I hope I will be able to get closer to her… although she looks like she wouldn't be interested in romance…unlike me who was practically crushing over her, she looks normal..  I still want to try.

Anyway, it was a good idea to distance myself from her now… until I get my feelings right or I might just blurt out unnecessary things.

Time went by like this and by the time I was starting to get the hang of this earth magic stuff a week had already passed. Everyone had gotten another shock after seeing that I had fixed the wreckage but by now all the people were starting to get used to my unusual things. I was starting to think that the people in this house tend to accept my ideas rather quickly.

It was noon now, we had just finished lunch when I felt that someone was emanating quite a lot of energy. Looks like Alice the bratty noble I fought woke up. It had been over a week and this whole time she was recovering in her sleep.

“Ooh looks like she woke up. That was quite a long nap even for Alice.” Granny said and Gramps got up to go see her but he stopped because Alice had already come to the room we were in and ooh man she had a pissed face. it was like she was giving threats without even saying or looking. Some guys on earth would be more than happy to receive her like that but sadly I wasn't one of those M.

“Have you recovered?” asked Gramps with a solemn look. Alice nodded and sat on a free chair. 

I thought she would shout and thrash around more. I guess I was wrong. she was mad now I can see it but not on me. No, the anger was probably directed to herself right now. 

After some leisure talk between her and Gramps and Granny Alice looked at me. This whole time it felt like she was trying to not look at me, not even thinking about me. I thought maybe the fight was too unbearable to think about. I heard from Granny that she never lost to anyone in her life apart from my Grandparents and overlord but she never really thought of fighting them like that anyway.

That's why when she suddenly stopped avoiding me and looked me straight in the eye, I got flustered for a moment, also because I was looking at her the whole time. Although as soon as she looked me in the eye, all her composure went out the window and out came a girl who was the farthest I could have even imagined from Alice...

When I first saw her, she had a hatred filled face, that's why I never really looked at her that much and she had kept shouting the whole time, but now when she was quiet and timid, for some reason she looked cute, where did that shyness come from? She looked like a sheltered princess now! I did go to visit her when she was recovering but… her sleeping gentle face reminded me too much of Leila… so I refrained from going again. This face that she had now… it wasn’t like Leila at all.. She looked vulnerable… man…. It was a sin to even fight a girl who could look like this...

“What?!” she asked, ooh maybe it was because I was looking at her. 

“Nothing?” I didn't really know what to say. That's why I just asked her back but she just got irritated by it and pouted.

Hey am I dreaming  or does she look cute….?

“Well she does have a beautiful face, only her attitude needed to be changed a little.”

{Answer: system has determined the target unhostile.}

Now crowded as always that my head was... even System is answering me right now. But I guess unlike the first meeting, Alice didn't have that poisonous hatred towards me now.. Yes, unlike last time she felt more civilized.

As a man who was going for her older sister though… It felt really awkward to be around her now. I wanted to get to know her so that she could give me more info about how I could get close to Leila but as soon as I think of talking to her, that face really makes me embarrassed as it really makes me want to care for her... not to mention that timid nature that came out of her suddenly.. 

I might be trash…. Sorry Leila… your sister is kinda cute too…

After a long rest, the feisty princess had woken up. But she had changed quite a bit. Was it just my imagination? This girl who was spewing curses so much until now looked so timid that I was seeing a completely different person here. Especially when that same girl looked at me with a timid yet reproachful glare.

“Young master, we are ready now.” At an awkward moment like that, thankfully Mai came. She was talking about the kitchen arrangements. As I felt the awkwardness overwhelming, I grabbed the chance and went with her and left Alice and my grandparents behind.

With help from Granny, I had rebuilt the kitchen structure. Now it looks like a semi modern kitchen. semi because the whole kitchen was powered by mana and the way I had built it was all through earth and Miasma. In the past week renovating our home for the time being was all that I had done. 

The first thing that I had done was making a good bathroom and water supply, then I went room by room and changed the windows from wood to glass with my Miasma and earth magic. I could make any type of glass. if I knew the structure of the matter, the system could make it. Not only that, the system could analyze and figure out the structures of more materials as it went on, since I knew a lot of them, the system had started making new structures, even if I don't remember all of them, maybe in the future the system itself can research them. Well people can't say that having a super computer in your head is wasteful.

So today I was thinking of making them all some fast food like fries and burger, pizza and all those types of food. Well the truth was I got myself some good meat on the way back from the capital.

So I just wanted to have some junk food, as I planned on making some desserts too for the girls. It had turned into quite the ordeal..

The chef that we had was a small girl, well at least she looked like one but in reality she was a dwarf but far from the dwarf that we see in the mangas and animes. She looked like the best little sister character. She was super clumsy. I never thought that I would see a clumsy dwarf but all in all working with her was great. She even learned pretty quickly but she was still shy so she would avoid me if possible sometimes. but her curiosity about cooking was something that made her overcome it.

“Hmm okay let's go!”  I moved along with Mai toward the kitchen. I could feel someone's piercing gaze behind my back as I left. Being unconcerned of that, I went without another thought.

Today someone I was looking forward to meeting would be coming. I didn’t really want to serve her fast food but Systy, my adventuring buddy for now, had blabbered that I could make something called fast food and that person got interested. Since my Granny was there too, she went with the flow and invited her for this food. Well that person was Leila. Now that she would be coming I had to make it. I was thinking of wooing her over it. Well as long as I don't stop trying, I should pass at some point. The Mc’s in novels did succeed in one way or the other. Just think about yourself like an mc yeah that would do the work… man I was hopeless… but tonight I would be serious.

“Good morning.. Young.. Master..” the awkwardly saying hi was Ayna the Dwarf. It was awkward because it was already past noon but she was greeting me as good morning. She did find her mistake in mid sentence so she stumbled over it a bit.

“Hi good.. Morning?” I replied with the same. It was better to roll with it than to correct her. She was very shy after all.

“I’ve prepared everything..” She said while pointing at the ingredients, a huge load of potatoes ready to be fried was prepared and then just as huge loads of minced meat could also be seen. I also made a mincer so we could mince meat more easily. I could see that the bread had already been prepared and was in the oven.

“Well… Isn't this a bit much..?”

“No, young master, everyone has requested to partake in your grand cooking, this much will have to be prepared at least.” Lia said from behind me. Everyone behind her also agreed. Come on girls… I can see your drools...

Well now that they say it, I do remember that the first time I made fast food, all of it had been finished even before I could place it on anyone's platter…. Boy this world's people really did like new food. I didn't even know how it tasted.

“Come on young Master, we are with you in every step!!” Mai said holding a fist up in the air which prompted everyone in the kitchen saying “Yeaaah!!!” Since this was a big kitchen, 10 or 15 people were nothing to fit in. 

And I could see many others peeking in from the gate, they couldn't enter but it looks like their curiosity got the best of them. Oh man those eyes were dying to test the food that destroyed the physique of countless 21st century people.

“Alright then let's start!!!” I also didn't lose enthusiasm. Food is something that always brings people together so we should really enjoy it and in these peaceful moments live all you can. There is more to life than getting stronger. It's also about enjoying the peace and living. Remembering these times can keep you going when you do those training from hell. As for the junk food...we can just exercise it out after eating. As I sighed and cheered on with the girls,

Another big cheer was brought this time. I could hear the sound flowing even from the outside. That's it, I will prepare all the fast food everyone can eat. I am gonna make the girls here see the appeal of a chef! If they were not smitten by me from my looks, I just know they will be falling for me after this! Yeah, time to let loose the cooking god in me..!!!

(Just joking there isn't anything like that in me.)
