Twelve:
Good versus Evil
-.-.-.-.-
Michael slept all day while the rest of the group tried to rope up all the magical beings they could, so when their leader woke, they will be ready to go into battle and finally teach the evil rats a lesson that they or the Rebels will never forget.
You do not mess with the future king's mate.
As he healed and prepared for the big battle, the rest separated to gather the other rulers of Da Fae; Alicia called the fairies and witches in her family while Jasper and Locia traveled to places that other beings in the Elves' area lived.
While they traveled to place to place, Locia thought back to when Michael realized that Maria was no longer with them.
When they heard, what happened, the three other people thought that he fought so hard and Zack was just a ploy to give the unknown other time to grab Maria. But the ravenette wouldn't listen to their soothing words and he broke down so hard that the nurses had to give him something to sleep. Locia felt so bad, to see the usual strong young man so weak.
Now, the ginger looked out of the car's window at the dancing trees past their way back from Azxa Qand where the Water Tribe princess, Zara Acer, lived. She breathed in deeply, her mind was thinking a million thoughts at once until she finally had to speak them:
"Jesus, why did you have to be paranormal? It would be so easier if you weren't just royalty, but normal humans. I know that we will still have to deal with Adam and his rats, but Maria won't be in his sight, she would just another human young woman." Locia seethed, hitting her head against the seat's headrest as they passed into Saza Gae.
Jasper chuckled softly—the first time he laughed since it happened mind you—and turned his head towards the angry teenager with a small smile placed on his thin lips, squeezing her hand gently.
"Being normal is overrated Locia, being unusual is more fun. You are the one that said that, don't forget that. And I know that life can be a b***h sometimes, but you need to just push right on through. We will win this, Locia. I have no doubt about that. Michael had been dying to give Adam a beating from hell, not literally of course. You know Michael will not hold back." He stated matter-of-factly before turning his eyes back on the road as a laugh bubbled up from the ginger's throat.
"Yeah, I wouldn't even mind doing that. Anyways, where to now?" She asked, pulling her legs up to her chest. He looked down at a paper in his lap for a second before returning his sight on the ongoing road:
"The Aza Sasa woods, we have to meet the wolves to regroup you guys' part of the plan. Then we're heading back to Aqaz and the hospital." He stated.
Locia nodded then laid her head into her knees, letting silence come over them for the rest of the ride, giving the pair some time to think.
The ginger wanted to kill the unknown female for causing two of the most important people in her life pain, for everything her kind put Maria through and the pain she put her soul brother through. And she was going to pay dearly.
Soon, they reached the woods and traveled through the thick trees, the leaves and brush crushed under her beaten vans. Unknowingly to her, through her pain and burning anger, there was someone who wanted to make her smile.
But for now, they had to stay silent and watched her from afar. For they needed to focus on the battle.
"We'll find her, bookie." Jasper whispered against her cheek as they walked, causing her to smile bitterly.
"I know…."
Then when the pack was in reach, the men started to talk about the war. They went over the plans for hours; the pack brothers will be a ploy for the Rats while Michael will deal with Adam because they knew that he was the only one who would get to fight the king. As for Locia, she will be the one who would get Maria out of there but with Alicia.
That made the ginger nervous, for she knew that she was the newest member of the group. Alicia should be the main rescuer because the blonde knew her longer and she could trust her deeper.
Locia sighed as the boys talked warfare, forgetting her completely so she excused herself from the conversation and went deeper into the beautiful woodland to relax the rushing thoughts.
She looked up at the trees that seemed to be touching the cloudy sky of May; the plan ran in and out of her mind as the leaves sounded underneath her feet. The ginger breathed deeply as she leaned her shoulder against a truck of a big tree, crossing her arms over her chest:
"We will save you, Mari, we're coming for you; just hold on sissy, be brave and fight, baby girl…." Her words echoed through the forest, stinging tears pooled over and down her cheeks, her heart wishing that they got to her faster.
Then her cell rang and caused sounds of birds to echo off the trees, the teen sniffed then fished her phone out of her skinny jeans' pocket and answered:
"What's up? Michael's awake?" Locia asked while she wiped her eyes free from tears.
"Yeah and he isn't very happy, I think you guys should get back here now Loci, please?" Alicia's voice sounded strained, she knew that she was closer to the leader than the two other in the smaller group, so the brown-haired beauty called her. Locia sighed, loudly shaking her head.
"Let me just tell Jasper and we'll be there soon, poor Michael." She whispered into the phone before hanging up and going back to the buzzing boys.
An hour later, Jasper and Locia walked to their friend's room, going in the nicely designed room. In the middle was a king-sized bed which held their friend's shaking form:
The ginger paused to nod towards Alicia and her mate, motioning them to leave, she gave her a smile of thanks and exited the large room as she held his hand.
Locia sighed as she sat down on the huge bed's edge, grabbing his hand. The ginger knew that Michael never once cried in front of anyone, not even Maria.
But now tears were streaming down his tan cheeks to his narrow chin, and he didn't seem to care that his soul baby sister saw him cry, and it hurt to see him so defeated. She breathed in, trying to fight her own tears and stroked his midnight hair.
"We'll find her, sweetie, you know we will. She won't be going anywhere anytime soon. And when we do; I'll get her out of there faster than a jet in the sky. You can give Adam payback for all he has done to Maria over the days he had her, I promise." Locia whispered quietly, the beating of their hearts echoed off the walls.
Minutes passed and that was the only sound in the room besides her friend's muffled cries when Michael finally spoke:
"I couldn't get to her, damn it why, Locia, why? Why was I fast enough to get her? She's my mate, goddamn it!" He yelled angrily, shaking his balled fists at the caramel colored ceiling. The teenage girl let a few tears go, not bothering to pretend strength any longer at the sight:
Oh, Michael….
"I don't know, Mikey, I just don't know. Maybe it was faith, maybe we needed to go through this to be stronger in the battle. But don't worry sweetie, we will get through it and we will bring Maria home safe and sound. It will be alright, you'll see. Mike, I know this is hard for you, it's hard for everybody that knows her, but we'll get Maria back. I have no doubt about that, you won't let them take her from us fully, I know that and you need to, Michael. You didn't do this, those sick damned monsters did this: You can't blame yourself for this, sweetie. However, you can go right on ahead and blame Adam and all the other rats that caused her to suffer. It might help you fight Adam and give him what he deserved for a long time."
The ginger stared into his big amber eyes, hoping her words gotten to him. He sat up, wiping his eyes on the white dress shirt the hospital gave him last night.
"You're right, L. Man, I feel like crap, but tomorrow I'll be on the top of my game, I promise. They're in for a world full of hurt." He said, grinning that famous Michael grin and Locia couldn't help but return the grin with a watery smile:
"You better, and I want you to kick his ass hard for all of us." She ruffled his mess of hair then got up off the bed, walking towards the hallway leading the way out when Michael's voice made the ginger turn once more.
"Thanks for the pep talk, sissy I needed it." He told me as he pulled her into a bear hug. They stood there in that hug for God knows how long before Michael let go with a smile before returning to his bed.
She slowly returned it as she headed down and out of the room, the worry gradually faded from her veins, warming her for the first time since the kidnapping.
When the young woman met her other friends, they drove to Michael's house where they were staying for the night.
Happy to lay down, Locia moved into the guest room, but a few moments later, Alicia walked in with a smile, ripping the feeling of blissful solace from Locia.
The girl sighed and flipped down onto the bed.
"What now?" Locia whined, curling into a ball facing her; she laughed.
"Nothing, the boss wanted us, girls, to share the room so we can help together suit up tomorrow that's all."
The ginger nodded, faintly smiling as her eyes slowly closed, only one thought ran across her mind:
Just hold on one more night Maria, we're coming for you, just hold on…
-.-.-.-.-
The clouds went by out his window as Michael got ready going over the plan one more time to be sure. He can't do anything wrong, his princess is at risk and he'll do everything right, no matter how much he wants to be the one in Locia's place. To be the first to hold her and touch all her pain away, but he is needed when Adam is hiding.
He sighed and put on the final piece of the thick armor when the Elf prince waltzed in wearing the same metal suit.
"Well, are you ready to beat some Rats' asses?" Jasper asked, his voice low and steady, almost taking on a deadly tone. "Because I know I am." He grinned evilly, cracking his fists against the other. Michael laughed harshly as he walked towards his friend.
"I'm passed ready, my friend, I'm itching to beat the hell of one certain rat. You can do whatever you please to his little friends but Adam's mine. I've waited a long time to give him back all he did to me and Maria. I am going to teach him that you don't mess with a mate if you want to keep your life. Maria is mine and mine to protect, which is what I am going to. He will not wiggle his way out of this, I am coming for him." He deadpanned, looking to the blonde boy while his fingers curled into fists.
Michael saw that fire of burning hate as Jasper's face took on his world famous angry expression. Whenever he wore that expression at school, kids ran and hid because they knew he was in a mood.
After that, they nodded and just stood there, lost in their feeling of anger and excitement. They let the feelings boiled into their hearts, building their strength for what was coming.
Then, Alicia's voice freed them, yelling through the door that it was time to fight. Michael was the first to move out of his personal chamber, eager to get going.
Once he reached the throne room, which was full with all the magical beings, Lesley pulled him to the other side of the big room:
"Michael, you need to know one thing before we go. I want to thank you for loving Maria so much. You have reawakened that burning passion she had as Isabella. Because of you, Maria is probably fighting Adam so hard, refusing to give into him. Now, go and give your speech to pump them up. Let's get my baby back." She said with a smile.
"Yes, let's get our jewel back. It's time to give the rats the payback they deserve." Michael replied harshly, but he had a gleeful grin placed onto the dark lips Maria loved so much.
The handsome prince didn't care how hard the fight with the Rats' king would be for him. He was going to fight for what he loved most, because he could not lose her. Not again, he won't go through that level of pain again. He wanted the one person that made Hans whole once more:
He was made for his angel, made to love her, and made to protect her from any danger. And he was going to do just that. Michael needed her back and when he did, the prince was never letting her go. Despite their new fate, he was going to fight it, for he would do anything for the blonde.
He fought his smile from widing and nodded at his rushing thoughts, heading to the front of the room. People of all kinds parted to watch the young prince walk up the stairs onto the large stage. He took in a deep breath, not turning around as he begun.
He was feeling like a leader should:
"Being brave isn't hard. By merely being here, you're showing a great measure of courage but now matching to battle for someone you know nothing about? That shows so much courage in the eyes of those who do know her. You'll be grateful you agree to save Princess Maria."
He smiled at the sound of her name and finally turned to look his army in the eyes:
"Because she is the sweetest soul that walked the two worlds' surface, and has a face fit for an angel. She means a great deal to us," Michael waved towards himself and the group by the big grate ready to jump into the cloudless sky, thank god for that, "and to her family and friends are beyond thankful to you.
We need to and we will get her back because Maria is the world to me, them and someday to you, all of you. I am grateful to everyone here, you're the bravest people and I—no we are thankful to you; let's go and fight for the Winter Princess Maria, let's go and show the Rats' whose boss. Who's with me?"
Michael drew his sword and swiftly lifted the blaze into the air. The crowd roared, raising their own weapons and nodded feverishly their agreement.
The young man smiled and jumped off the stage, running full speed to the open grate with the sounds of battle cries and footsteps behind him.
And finally, his wings reached out; touching the blue sky and he jumped into a smooth strong wind carrying his beautiful wings up against the clouds followed by the soldiers; his friends flew beside him, staring ahead.
Michael's mind housed one thought the whole way down to the burning hole in Da Fae's core, and that thought was the words he wanted to say every day without fail after this:
I love you, Maria Ann Sawyer Durazo. My princess Maria, my sweet little angel. I'm coming.
-.-.-.-.-.-
When a booming crash sounded, the Rats yelled and their footsteps crashed by the cell door.
Maria smiled proudly, seating herself back into her chai1qr just as her kidnapper came in with a smile of his own, hers faded as her hand brushed her bow.
"Looks like you have visitors, my dear bride, and they brought some friends along to help. Too bad that you couldn't use your powers to help 'em win. Oh, and I have a score to set with your little boyfriend, hope you don't mind if your groom hurts him. After that, I think you will behave and bend."
The reddish blonde growled, feeling the anger pulsing in her blood, and her hand curled around the bow:
"I will never marry you, you vile thing! I WILL NEVER be YOURS! Even if you use your twisted spell on me, I will never be yours! And don't you dare touch him, rat. I might don't know how to use my powers but I do know how to fight, and I will use my skills against you. Have you learned that when you guys brought me here?"
"My, my, such a strong response from such a little girl, if you think you are strong, try to escape this room after I place a locking spell on it." Maria gasped, terror filling her but he wasn't done.
Her face took on a horror stuck expression as her damned kidnapper grinned and spoke in a fast whisper in a language she didn't understand then he shot the blonde one more evil grin before trapping in this room.
Maria raced to the door and tried to rip it open but to no avail. She clawed against the wood, but her nails started to bleed harshly as a growl escaped through her lips while the rushing thought danced through her mind's walls:
No, no, I need to help them! Maria thought in a panic, where are the girls when I need them!?
Then the sound of tapping filled her ears, making the blonde snap her head around to the window. Maria grinned hugely as the grins of Locia and Alicia shined to her.
Maria grabbed her weapon and rushed to the window, but stopped when an itching burn danced across her shoulders.
As the feeling of her spine breaking into two drove her to her knees, Maria was swallowed by a bright light:
A few minutes later, silver and violet wings stretched out from her back. It was a sign of her powers were finally kicking in and Maria was truly becoming a fairy after weeks of only having the ability to make ice arrows. The beautiful blonde's eyes widened as only three words ran through her mind, not noticing Locia's worried screams:
Oh, my god….
-.-.-.-.-
They drove in the unearthly heat; and straight through a thick heavy smoke, causing a few people to cough. But the smoke didn't stop them and their leader from going farther into the world of the Rats. Michael looked at the two girls and nodded once.
"You know what to do, be careful." They nodded, touching his shoulder as they both flew past him, trying to give their friend comfort and luck by the simple touch. A faint smile showed and faded as fast as the touch flowed by on his lips.
Then, after the boy watched their figures faded from sight, he nodded again towards the other teenage boy who had nodded and turned the mob behind him, barking orders to his group.
And before he knew it, Michael was flying alone in the smoky fog. He carefully came in for a lining right into the door of the large castle. Once he as quiet as he could manage landed, he quickly and quietly moved to a wall, pinning himself to the wall. He peeked around the corner for any loose rats but as soon as growls and human cries sounded outside.
With a scowl placed onto his lips as the sounds hit his ears, Michael ran down the hall, careful to not to make any noise.
But as soon as Michael rounded the next corner, he came face to face with the man he wanted to see: Adam smiled coolly, leaning against the wall:
"Well, is this pleasant surprise? Michael Ashgers, here to take me down and recuse the beautiful maiden, right?" Adam questioned, pushing off the wall as he held his sword tightly; all the while staring hard at the young fairy in front of him:
Michael smirked as he stepped closer to the old King ready to rip him apart.
"Yes, and this time, I won't go so easy on you. It's just you and me, old man!" He slowly shouted, the sound of his voice echoed off the walls around them.
The rat grinned, waving one of his furry clawed hands, and then a wall appeared behind Michael's back. The black-haired teen looked at it before returning his gaze to Adam, an eyebrow arched quizzically. The rat king smirked.
"Making it fair, young fairy. No one can get in and neither of us can get out. It is a shame, though; I have more years up my sleeves than you do. I have been fighting my whole long life and I was taught my sword-wielding skills at an early age. You don't really stand a chance against me, prince." Adam said, his voice slowly changing into a low, beast-like growl, bending into a classic fencing position.
Michael smiled at the beast, mirroring his position after unsheathing his own sword, not afraid of this beast, but afraid for him.
Michael has been waiting for this since the first-time Adam made his mind that Maria was going to be his and his only. But he made a fatal mistake in choosing the prince's mate and the ravenette is going to show the rat what happens when he messes with his love. Michael will teach the monster a lesson in fairy male mates.
-.-.-.-.-
As the males started their dangerous dance, the two girls flowed outside of the blonde's cell.
The first thought that ran through Locia's mind was:
Oh, thank you, god, she's safe!
The red head grinned when her friend's green eyes spotted them, grinning as she grabbed her bow and raced towards her friends, but she stopped and stared blankly at the flames.
Oh, hell no….
Locia tried to break the window in but every time her hands met the glass, a shock jolted through her body, and after a few more tries, she realized what caused the jolts. Adam is a smart bastard, the human thought with a growl as she groaned in frustration and kicked the brick wall, which caused her more jolts. The pain seemingly went unnoticed as Locia tried to free her leader.
"Oh, s**t," Locia muttered under her breath, her magical-created wings still were flapping against Alicia's:
"Adam put some kind of spell, on the whole, freaking room! Do you know the undo spell for this? We must get her out of there! Hold on Maria." The ginger whispered the last part in a low enough tone that it didn't reach Alicia's ears.
Alicia turned to her, pulling her as well so the younger teen was facing her too, her pretty face held a serious expression and her hazel eyes bore into hers.
"Breathe Locia, it's going to be ok, and we'll get her out. Don't worry, just breathe."
As the words fell from her mouth, however, a light flashed brightly from the window, so bright that they had to cover their eyes.
The blinding light only lasted a few seconds, they put their hands back down at their sides and looked back into the barred window to check on their girl, gasping at the sight before them:
"Oh, my…"
"…god, she is a full fairy now!" Alicia finished for the red head, her voice taken an excited whisper on.
The sight was unbelievable: Maria was in the middle room, her new silver/violet wings were flapping wildly, happy to be out finally. She blinked a few times in shock, then, with one more blink, a happy grin danced across her lips and she lifted herself out of her chair, flying to the window. Locia smiled happily, nudging Alicia out of her stupor.
She shook her head, making her ponytail fly, and looked at her partner as the ginger nodded toward the window and she smiled, nodding. Alicia stated a weird speech in the language of the Fae.
When she was finished, a bright light blinded the two for a few seconds, and then she nodded to Maria and pulled the other girl back with her a few inches.
Maria took a deep breath before disappearing back into the room. Locia looked at the girl flowing next to her, raising a brow, and gained a smile.
Moments later, the blonde came crashing through the window like a bullet. The ginger gaped at her as Alicia laughed hearty and hugged her tightly. The bars were torn from the window.
"Damn girl! When did you get that strong?" Locia asked, causing the two other girls to smile.
"I guess sissy is finally truly with me."
She smiled at her, finally pulling her slender body to hers for a hug before they were off flying. They searched for Michael to drop Maria off when a voice yelled from below:
"Well, well, isn't this just sweet? Her friends came to her rescue. But too bad that one of you will need to fight this rat."
They growled in union as their eyes shifted downwards. Locia's growl deepened when she realized who it was below them. It was her older sister, Faith West-Saest:
Faith had her hands on her hips and a smirk playing on her thin lips, she had on a sports bra and sweats, ready to workout.
"You were the one that helped Zack take her." It wasn't an accusation; it was a statement. Her anger flamed more when she saw her furry sister's grin grew.
"Unlike you, sister, I know my place and I need to please my king. You betrayed him and you're going to pay!''
Locia smirked back at her, scooping down to the ground. The ginger was ready to teach her sister that you don't mess with her friends and get away with it. And so, without taking her eyes off the mouse's, the teen yelled back to the girls.
"Go find Michael, Maria. And, Alicia, go help your boy!"
Locia landed finally on her feet, a couple feet away from the she-devil, still smirking harshly at her:
"Are you sure!?" They called down to the ginger as she flew to the ground, sounding worried.
"Yes! Go!"
But Faith's smirk turned into a full-out evil grin as her furry clawed-hand lifted towards the door leading to the battle.
"She is not going anywhere, fairies, not until you beat me, Locia Xara West, and believe me, it's going to be hard. The girl's the queen and she is not going anywhere."
The teenager laughed as she looked up at Alicia, who was pulling the Winter Princess back, getting to ready to unlock the door. The ginger smiled sweetly, shaking her head mockingly:
"Oh, sweetie, you should've researched the group more. Because my girl, Alicia, here is more than meets the eye."
Locia grinned, waving her hand towards the brunette as the mouse's fangs came out to play. She bent down, ready to launch at her but Faith's eyes were on Alicia:
"What is she?" She asked, turning her eyes to her younger sister. The now human smiled coldly as she heard Alicia saying a spell.
"A half-breed. Half fairy and half witch. She broke Adam's little spell on Maria's guestroom."
At that, Faith growled and finally launched towards her, ready to fight to avenge her king. Locia happily followed her movements. In the corner of her eye, she saw Maria turning to her before she raced off to help her mate:
"Remember our promise, Locia! Keep him sane!"
After the princess reminded her of her vow, the two fairies spread their wings, and took off into the red sky in opposite directions.
While she watched their figures fade, Loci smiled at the sight, sending a silent prayer with them to be safe in the face of the battle, and then the ginger returned her thoughts on the damned mouse in front of her:
Faith threw the first kick, which Locia blocked with her hand smoothly, grabbing her ankle and flipping her on the floor hard. She gasped for breath as she climbed onto her, pinning her to the ground:
The girl hit her sister a few times, like she did in practice, before her claws bit hard into Locia's bare skin. The other girl cried aloud but she didn't let up her body hold on her older sister, the ginger only hit harder.
But she pushed Locia off her body and she jumped back onto her feet, wiping her bloody face while her icy cold eyes shot sharp daggers at her younger sister.
Locia smiled innocently as she got prepared for her next attack. Faith jumped at me, a fist brushed her cheek harshly. The echo of pain burned like fire causing her to wince slightly before she growled low in her throat and kicked her beside her head, making her fall backwards a little but she snapped back quickly with a skillful hand-kick movement but the ginger grinned as she flew out of the way, causing her to run right into a wall.
The former mouse burst into a laughing fit, this made the angry older rat even angrier. The teen was rather enjoying this, giving her a taste of pain She threw her head up, her beautiful face now was ugly with her lips curled into a scowl and her once brown eyes were now blood red, the sign that the mouse was pissed beyond no point.
"You're gonna pay for that, b***h!"
The younger sister shrugged, lowering herself back onto the ground:
"OK, try." She hedged her on with a nod. She grinned as her claws grew longer then she charged straight right at her little sister, her grin grew eviler as she moved, throwing powerful hits. But, much to her growing annoyance, the ginger ducked each move with a sneaky grin.
"I said try. I didn't say I was going to let you get me, Faith. Really, you know me better than that. I want to win. And I won't give up that easily." The teen said boldly, she scowled deeper and launched her hand towards her face but Locia blocked with ease and flipped a kick to her stomach, causing her gasp for air.
"Where did you learn to fight like that?" She wheezed out as she stood up, getting ready to launch at her again. She just smiled.
"Hun, I'm a cheerleader, I just learned to size my enemy and control my body better."
She sneered and launched at her now human sister with her claws and fangs bore. But before she could attack Locia, she caught her wrists and pulled her harshly to the right, and then she threw her against the wall hard, causing her head to hit against it. She went limp in the ginger's arms, blood flowing from her head's wide wound.
Locia smiled cruelly and stepped back from her, watching her body slide down the wall. When she hit the floor, the ginger turned her back on her sister, feeling only disgust for her now. She let out a pained grunt before walking to the battlefield:
When she reached it, Jasper and Alicia smiled tensely at their ginger-headed friend. Loci smiled back, not missing the tension in their own smiles. But then, the red headed teen realized that their two leaders were still missing, her smile faded into a deep frown and walked towards them.
"Where are they?" Locia looked between the two of them. Jasper sighed softly, stepping to her and taking her small frame into his arms for a comforting embrace.
"They're still dealing with Adam, but don't worry sweetie, they're fine."
The ginger nodded, not really believing, but she sent a prayer to the goddess above and buried her face in her friend's chest, waiting.
The promise slowly started to really set in as she kept ahold of her hope of seeing them both and the spell being just a horrible nightmare, but it was getting harder and harder to do; as the seconds passed without them.
It was really happening, Locia mourned while the tears soaked Jasper's broken armor.
-.-.-.-.-.-
Michael jerked forward, breathing hard and sweating. They have been fighting for what seemed like hours but neither wanted to back down.
He was fighting like nothing before, but the rat was as well. Whenever Adam swipes his own sword at him, he skillfully dodged the hits. He thought as they both caught their breath about his next move, forming an idea as a smile grew on his face. However, the smile was replaced a snarl when the rat stated the next words.
"After you are gone, your beautiful princess will be so easy to twist to my wishes and she will forget all about you."
Adam grinned as his statement earned him a deep growl. Michael launched forward to stab his heart, but the king danced gracefully out of dodge, laughing maddeningly while they danced around. The men were each at a standpoint, planning their next move, when Hans scowled and moved the sword towards Adam's face:
"It'll be just a spell, Adam, it won't be a real mating bond. You'll brainwash her. Do you really want a bride that blindly follows you?" The young man gritted out through clenched teeth, spinning out of the way of the rat's next move, and tried to land a hit on his shoulder.
"She will be the same spitfire we adore, but she'll think we mated in the place you and her. Great plan, isn't it?" Adam gushed gleefully, but Michael only gagged at the thought of Adam recreating something so special:
"You're sick!"
After that, all words faded between the two, there were just actions.
He gripped his sword tightly once more and his skilled hand hit the beast across the face with his sharp blaze, a grin formed on his tanned face as Adam roared out in pain, his giant blaze swiped out trying to get the smug look from the young fairy's face but Michael dodged it by leaping upwards, kicking the move in the process making Adam bellowed even louder and angrier.
"What's wrong old Rat? Can't keep up with this young fairy? I thought I didn't stand a chance against you." Michael teased, flowing only a few inches above the ground and loving every minute of this. Adam scowled, his left eye linked a few droplets of blood, making him look like—for once—an actual rat.
"You little bastard, I'll make you eat your words!" Adam growled, stalking forward to where the winged boy was flowing swinging each jab at his wings.
Michael could move away from the firsts of his hits but sadly one contacted his right wing, and god it hurt. He gritted his teeth fighting back a moan of pain and slapped the beast in the face with his sword again, but this time?
An arrow hit the rat as well, shocking the both warriors. But the sight made Michael swell with a mixture of pride and fear for his mate:
They looked up at the sky where Maria flowed high with a smirk on her lips and her new wings touching the red-glowing sky, making her look like an avenging angel. And Maria had her bow steady on the Rat King, ready to shoot once more. Which the female fairy did.
Adam cried out in pain, backing up from Michael, growling as her smirk grew, these words spilling from her mouth:
"Hey boys, mind if I join in the fun?"
