The next afternoon Alli was in Paso she had decided to go earlier than planned. That morning she had gotten a phone call tat a friend was in trouble so she decided to go and see what was up. Alli was walking through the hall of a skyscraper which happened to be an old office building no one really used anymore. Alli got to the door of the office she was to go to, as she opened the door Alli saw movement to the left of her outside the window. The shock wave hit first blowing the glass out of the windows. Alli was knocked unconscious before the second and third bombs went off with in the building. Hours later the Army clean up crew found Alli buried under the rubble. Immediately a captain recognized her as the Generals lost wife and had her rushed to the army's hospital. The General was informed of her arrival, as he was in the hospital doing rounds and checking on a few of his men who had been injured in a separate bombing. Upon hearing Alli was there, he went to her room, his dark skin paled as he walked up to Alli's bed, she was in a medically induced coma. He could see the bruising that covered her body, as well as the bandages they were covering her in as they pulling glass out of her.

Anger and fear flared up in the General, as carefully as he could he had taken her hand and held it as the doctors worked on her. After some time they had him leave, that is when the General called Lee, his Doves "Other". Lee received the phone call to find the General yelling and cussing. His first instinct was to hang up on the General, until he said Lee was a shitty man for allowing Alli to be put in danger like that. Suddenly Lee became weary...
"What the f**k do you mean Alli was in danger. She is supposed to be in Alamo?" Lee asked.
The General stopped cussing when he realized Lee didn't know she was in Paso. For a long minute he had stayed quiet as Lee's words had sunk in.
"She looks to have been crushed in a bombing of a building... The Army is working on her now, she will get the best surges and therapists if she pulls through...." the General replied.
"Please do whatever it takes.... If she dies, so will you.... And if I find out who sent her there or why i will be in touch.!" Lee growled, as he messaged Mack that he needed to talk now. After a few more threats to the General for Alli's safety Lee hung up. His mind raced as he went to Mack's office, Alli was not supposed to be in Paso yet, something felt off. Praying she would pull through Lee felt a pang of anger flash through him as he wished it was him beside her, holding her hand. He willed her to fight to come back home to him. Sighing he knew at this moment he needed to figure out what happened. When he told Mack, he saw Mack face go into a state of shock because he too knew Alli was not supposed to be anywhere near Paso. Lee knew he needed to go home to see his boys and search for answers.

Alli awoke days later to find the General holding her hand. He looked very eastern when he didn't shave or keep his hair brushed and pulled back. She tried to speak, but found it hard to, panic flooded through her as she realized she could not move either. The General felt a tiny tug that had alerted him to her being awake. Seeing her panic, he quick tried to calm her down explaining she couldn't move because she was restrained so she could heal proper, and soon she will be able to speak again, the General watched her eyes go from panic to understanding, he quickly got up to get the doctor, and water for her. By the time he made it back to her bed Alli had passed back out. After checking her the doctor gave her more medication told the general this would happen randomly please let us know and then left him with her and his thoughts.
The General sat by her side doing office work or simply holding her hand. Alli had awoke a few times but only for a few minutes then she would be out again. By the time she was able to stay awake a few months had passed.
This time when Alli woke up she saw an older man sitting next to her, fear and panic ran through Alli as she started to thrash. She thought the Generals older brother was beside her and she couldn't help being terrified of the man. She remembered the beating that made her lose the child. Tears were streaming down her face. "Little Dove calm down your safe!" the General near shouted as he tried to calm her. His pet name slowly registered in Alli's mind, she then stopped struggling against her restraints, suddenly she felt the pain she caused radiating throughout her body. The General had her hand in his as he called for the nurse to get the doctor. Alli learnt she had been in a coma basically for three months. Though most of her body was healing she found out she was going to have to learn to walk again, she was going to have to fight to get back to where she was. For a long time Alli stayed quiet as she thought over what the doctor had said about therapy and the long road ahead.
Knowing Allie the way the General did he stood up and kissed her softly on her forehead. Softly he told her he would be back, as he walked out Alli closed her eyes and fell back to sleep. When she opened the the General was sitting beside her, he looked ten years younger, he had completely shaved and pulled his long hair back. He knew that he looked wild like his brother used to which was the only reason he left her side.
For the next nine months Alli pushed herself to learn to re-walk. The General stayed by her side the entire time, his only wish was for her to get better. He knew the doctor had said it was a possibility she could walk again, he honestly didn't know if she really would. He knew how badly she had been crushed, but he didn't want to tell her. Her goal was to walk and he knew no matter how he felt he would help her and support her in anyway she needed him.
Since waking up and understanding the extent of what happened to her, Alli knew she had to push herself to become independent again. She also felt she owed the General and she was going to find a way to repay him for helping her, and being there for her. Late one evening the General walked in after a bad day for Alli. She was crying in the middle of the floor of his apartment. She had fallen and didn't have the strength to get back in her chair. She had been at therapy most of the day so her being tired only added to her depressed and angry. the General quickly scooped her up and carried her to the recliner with him. He sat down and placed her in his lap. He allowed her to cry her frustration into his shoulder as he held her close to him. Slowly she started to calm down. He asked her what happened and she told him she thought she could make it to the table. Her blue eyes shown brightly with new tears forming. Gently the General leaned forward and kissed her. At first she stared at him and then she kissed him back. He wished she could see she was still very beautiful even in her darkest hours. His kiss deepened as his desire for her also deepened. He knew she could not be loved the way he wished because it could hurt her, but he hated how heart broken she felt. Gently he stood up and placed her in her wheelchair, as he went to the kitchen and got them dinner. After eating he held her till she fell asleep, the thought that soon he would have to call Lee and send her home nagged at his heart.

Lee woke up to his phone going off , it had been thirteen long months since he had last seen Alli. The General was on the line telling him it was time, for Lee to meet in a neutral place so he could get Alli, his beloved. The General described the struggles she had endured. He had no intentions on letting lee not know how delicate she was or how her state of mind had been either. Lee could picture everything the General described in his minds eye. In the General's opinion had become depressed and he feared all her progress would be for nothing if he didn't get her somewhere she felt happy. She had been calling for Lee in her sleep and he told Lee so. For the first time ever Lee realized the General truly cared about Alli.
After hanging up Lee thought back to two months After Alli had been set up. He found the woman who had called her, Lee was pissed to find out she was a close friend to the Generals brothers wife. He had called and bitched the General out for it being his family's fault. That very day the General called out his brother, his wife, and her friend, then he personally killed them so they could no longer bring harm to Alli. Lee respected the General a little more after he heard, and was only a bit surprised that he had adopted his nieces and nephews. He had started to wonder if Alli was ever going to fully recover, she usually pushed herself to be up within three to six months after most of her traumas. Now that he knew the extent she had gone through he knew this was the worse she had ever been.
Lee had come home to Alamo after he had spoke to the General the first time, from then on he stayed in Alamo with the boys. He knew his duty was to take her straight to Vegas per Mack's orders but first he wanted to see for himself how Alli was doing, physically and mentally. He messaged Mack that soon they would be headed to Vegas, and he was thankful he was finally going to see her. He told the boys the good news. As he prepared for the day he could go get her.

Alli awoke the next day in the Generals arms, he had been busy now she was on the mend and didn't want to move for fear she would wake him. She knew here she was safe enough, and he had been so good to her though out everything. She was crying softly because in her heart she didn't know how to repay him for being so kind to her, but she desperately missed Lee and the boys. Suddenly he was readjusting her, so she was lying on top of him. Gently he rubbed her back as he softly spoke, "Don't cry little dove."
Shaking from tears she tried to tell him that she owed him so much and didn't know what to do to repay him. However she was silenced by his long passionate kisses. He was gentle with her as he caressed her lovingly. As he whispered how he truly loved her, and his only want was for her to become full healthy and happy again, his own tears shown as he promised himself and her that no matter what he would always keep her in his heart and then told her she was to go home to Lee the next day... He saw the hope shine in her eyes for the first time in months. He asked her to promise to keep herself safe this time and most of all he needed to to live and be safe. And though things were winding down with the war, certain groups of radicals were still causing extreme havoc and destruction. The General wanted her far away from them, and if he thought he could keep her with him happy and safe he would have done anything... after another long kiss, he held her and burned into his memory the feel of her being there on top of him.....
The next day Alli had been taken to Grande which was a neutral zone, where she saw Lee, he was looking older, and his worry lines were deeper than she remembered...
