    Lee was astonished Alli had only been gone a week and a half. The girl Charity was back with her father, and Alli was planning to head to Alamo in the morning. Alli seemed happier, and much more relaxed than she had in years, Lee loved this side of her. Alli had hid nothing from him about the entire trip, he had been hurt, and jealous but was thankful she was there. She had teased and picked on on Lee till he gave in and let her back in. He had let her sleep on the cot at the office verse letting her come home with him. When he heard Alli was heading back out he then demanded that she come home with him. Alli had sat silently beside him in his old truck. He found himself staring at her out of his peripheral. Suddenly he yelled bang and watched with glee as she jumped. She started cussing under her breath but she also smiled that beautiful smile he loved so much.

    Lee took her to their cabin, it had been a while since he got to show her exactly how he felt about her, and he decided today was as good as any. They hiked in the surrounding forest following trails they found along the way they ended up at the top of the mountain. Lee caught Alli around the waist from behind and spun her so he could kiss her lips. After a short break they descended and enjoyed the peace of just being with each other. Lee loved looking down at her sitting in his lap by the stream. She had fallen asleep in his arms after their hike. After some time Lee woke her up and told her it was time to eat. Lee had steaks to grill, while she worked on baked potatoes. They worked on some deep discussions and both were on the same level when it came to their feelings for each other. Lee had done is best to erase all of Alli's fears, and worries. Alli tried to show him she would always come home to him. No matter what the job, or what went on between them. They both knew time would help with the rest but Lee was thankful she was there with him. After they cleaned up the dishes and kitchen Lee picked Alli up and took her to the room, he had a feeling it would be the last time he would get to see her for awhile, and didn't plan to waste the night. The next morning Lee made himself return Alli to the base the whole time having images of the different positions she had been in. Smiling he looked over at her, she had that far away look in her eyes. He didn't want her to leave but he appreciated she was going to check on the boys.
