Dodger paced frantically as he worried about Alex. “Will you sit down? I’m sure she’s fine.” Cooper called from the couch as he tucked into the meal that Dottie had prepared for them before she headed to the bedroom. The safe house they were in looked like a typical home. School buses passed down the street as the sun began to rise into the sky. “She was bleeding pretty badly before we left. What if she got weak from blood loss?” Dodger worried as Cooper rolled his eyes. “She had Scorpion there to back her up.
