It's been two years since the Union of the Supernaturals of America has been forged after a bloody battle at Wallace Bay. The reign of terror wrought by the First Witch's Daughters and its vampire army seemed to have been forgotten as werewolves, witches and vampires live peacefully side by side. Even the leaders of the human community have officially accepted the presence of their supernatural counterparts, sharing the lands of all 50 States with a promise to halt all deforestation and protect the ancestral lands of werewolves and witches.
For the first time in the history of their existence, vampires were no longer seen as abominations, weapons of radical witches bent on destroying the world. In the short two years, they have adapted to a life of freedom, thanks to the sacrifices made by those among them who had helped to bring down the First Witch's Daughters. Yet, this victory was not embraced by everyone. Victory implied victors and losers.
For the losers of Wallace Bay, the journey to an end in their favor has just began or so they thought. From the ashes rose the heroine of Wallace Bay from the dead, determined to stop anyone threatening the Union. Follow Laila on her crusade against evil and a journey of discovery about her true identity.

"Who are you? And don't try lying to me! I saw you outside with my own two eyes," snarled Ethan as he glared at Laila. His glare betrayed the hurt that the anger in his voice was able to mask. For a moment, Laila felt like perhaps, she had made the wrong decision and despite his lukewarmness, she could feel that Ethan did care about her. Though, did that mean she could trust him?
Biting her lower lip uncertainly, Laila closed her eyes for a few seconds before making a decision that might jeopardize the fate of all vampires. "Would you believe me, if I say that I'm not a daywalker? At least not one of those that Lady Lae created? Would you trust me even if everything that I'm about to say sounds crazy?"
Her question hung in the air as hope blossomed in her heart. Silence must mean that he was considering trusting her, doesn't it? If he'd even consider it, that meant he wasn't like the rest of the werewolves that she had overheard at his pack.
Ethan's heart pounded as he ignored the pleas of his wolf. The few minutes of silence was like an eternity as human battled wolf for control but in the end, reason overcame the heart. "And why should I do that? Your kind has done nothing but killed and destroyed everything in the way of your mistress. But at least the vampires that we fought at Wallace Bay were not liars. I don't know how any daywalkers are still alive, but if you weren't one, you would have burned to death when you went outside just now."
Each and every word from Ethan's mouth squeezed Laila's heart painfully. It was a strange feeling, completely foreign to her but before she could react, a familiar voice caused her to freeze in fear.
