HOW HAD EVERYTHING GONE SO WRONG SO QUICKLY?
I sat across from Devin in the dimly lit coffee shop, wrapping my hands around the steaming cup of tea. I gingerly lifted the cup, taking a small sip before placing it back down.The two of us sat in silence for a few minutes. I knew Devin needed some time to mull over his thoughts. I picked at the edge of my nail as I patiently waited for my brother to speak.

My head snapped up at the sound of his voice. My heart ached at the sheer look of pain that reflected in my brother's eyes.
