Though the wedding was one of the best days of my life, I was lying on my dad’s bed the next day, exhausted. I had promised to help Val move into her new apartment and that had completely drained the last bit of energy I had.
Val, however, wasn’t tired at all. She was super excited and jumping up and down in every direction.
But I only had an hour to relax.
After that hour, I had to get over to my brother’s apartment with my mum, dad and Gale so that we could drive them to the airport and see them off on their honeymoon.
Gosh, it was going to be a long day.
“Are you ready, love?” I heard my dad ask as he peeked into the room.
