The school day had passed, and Harry was waiting outside the school in her mustang.
She saw a gloomy Cheryl approaching the vehicle.
As she got in, Harry lowered the music.
"How'd it go?" she queried.
"Not good, they're gonna speak to my parents"
This was bad news, Cheryl's parents where almost as strict as her school.
"How do you think they'll take it?" asked Harry.
"Not well, I'm glad I'm staying at your house, but we better stop off at mine so I can get it over and done with" she played with her fingernails, chipping the pink polish in the process.
They pulled up outside the crisp white building.
"You might wanna stay in the car" Cheryl said in a low voice.
"It's not going to be pretty" she added, and strolled into her house.
After 40 minutes of waiting, Cheryl re-approched the car gloomily.
"I'm so pissed, they've grounded me, at 18 years old".
"I told them I can't be, I'm not even living under their roof anymore" she said, as she put her seatbelt on.
"They're gonna be pissed, do you think they'll call my mom and get her to send you home?"
"Probably, I'm not leaving you alone with him" she replied.
The drive back consisted of excuses they could give Claudette, without telling her the full story.
She already had a lot on her plate and it would cause an uproar without King Patrick there.

When they arrived back at the Palace, they sneakily made their way up to Harry's room to get ready.
They were going over to Chases house to figure out a solid plan, and talk about putting it in action.
School was over for summer break after Friday and then was the best time to do it.
They didn't know how to explain it to their parents, but they would probably be gone for a while.
Avoiding Claudette, the girls snook out of the Palace and into the gun metal gray beauty that purred like a lion.
Both had matching hairstyles, waved with top knots, Harry was in a baby blue Fe Noel skater dress that sat off the shoulder and Cheryl was in a pair of Levi denim dungarees.
Both had matching white Vans on and Tiffany diamond earrings.
They would talk to Chase about this, and then head over to Eli's to dance and drink, and mostly to avoid Harry's mum and Christoph.

⠀⠀
Pulling up to Chases was always a dream, he had a marble water fountain and his huge fluffy pomeranians would always be bouncing around it trying to chase off the birds that would settle for a drink.
When spotting guests, they'd pounce over for a fuss and to give big sloppy kisses.
Harry yelped as Douggie, the golden brown pup jumped up her scratching her leg with his paw.
Luckily it healed quick, and she wiped the blood before his delicate little tongue would lap it up.
The world did not need vampire dogs, as much as she couldn't imagine the boys letting any harm come to the big puppers.
Cheryl sqealed and ran towards her boyfriend who was waiting with open arms, and jokingly, Connor imitated her and held his arms open for Harry, who passed on the offer with a giggle and a red face.
"How are my favourite girls?" Chase asked with a smirk.
"Not good, I'm supposedly grounded" she rolled her eyes laughing.
"Katrina?" He asked.
"Yup, rang my parents and told them everything" she fake cried.
They all laughed.
"And you?" He looked at Harry.
"Eager to go find dad" she replied, honestly.
The boys led them into the house and Chase got everyone a drink.
"So the bad news is, no soldiers are on board here, they refuse to betray Christoph"
Annoyance was clear in his voice.
Harry sighed.
"And the good news?" She pleaded.
"I stole copies of all of the leads, and got their locations. Some are sketchy AF" he said, with emphasis on the AF.
"Right now, I couldn't care less. It's time for him to come home" Harry felt motivated.
The cold blood running sharply through her veins and adrenaline pumping through her entire body.
She was ready to see her father again, she had no idea what condition he was in, or what he had to go through daily, but he didn't deserve any of it.
He was a good man, always honest and kind.
Gave money to people in need, helped house at least 80 homeless people a year locally and would always make sure his family were happy and had the best care and life.
She wasn't sure who had taken him, or why they would want him if not for his money, but she had a bad feeling deep in her gut.
"So Friday" she interrupted, forgetting she had zoned out.
"I say we do the local leads, get as much information as we can and then go again Saturday, we need to be on this everyday and maybe rest on Sundays" she suggested.
Chase cleared his throat.
"Harry some of these leads go miles out, there's a high possibility your dad is in another town altogether.
Not to mention we don't have the man power to even breath on some of these leads" he looked defeated.
She knew it wasn't laziness, or fear, this man wanted his king back almost as much as she wanted her father home.
It was his job, his royal duty and lord knows he did not enjoy being under Christoph's command.
"So we take a road trip, we take weapons, how many of us is there?"
"Well I'm down" chipped in Connor, "I know a few boys that could do with the Kings grace" he added sheepishly.
His friends were the local bad boys, they enjoyed dabbling in drugs and petty crime such as the odd fight, carrying knives and guns or graffiti on a public wall somewhere.
They never harmed innocents so they weren't degenerates, but the king was strict with his kingdom and sanctioned them to live on the outskirts with the scum Vampires that did bad things and caused endless trouble in other towns as well as their own.
These bad people were ordered to live on animal diets and if found not to be, would be executed accordingly.
Harry only knew all of this due to Chase.
"So there's me, Chase, Ben, Connor, his delinquent friends" laughed Cheryl.
"They just have a thrill for stuff us good kids don't" he replied.
"Their names are Jamie, Hardin and Zia"
"And you're sure they'd be down?" asked Harry.
"Yeah, I guarantee it" he smiled.
He was another big brother type to Harry, since he was 23, 3 years older than Chase, he would look out for his brother and sort of adopted his brothers girlfriend and girl friends as his own.
"So that makes 8 of us, is that enough Chase?" Harry asked.
Everyone was looking at him and he still looked down at his hands, fiddling with his beer.
He didn't speak, he just shook his head.
"Why not?" She pleaded, tears threatening to spill as her plans seemed so close yet so far.
"We're underpowered, only me and Ben have training with heavy firearm, so the rifles and shotguns would be limited access" he shot a look at Connor.
"Plus 8 of us against potentially 20 to 30 other Vampires.. we'd need a secret weapon" he stated.
"Like bombs?" Cheryl asked, innocently.
"Well we will carry a minute amount of explosive, we don't want Connor and his little band of merry men getting carried away" he laughed, "but no, that won't be enough"
"I know you won't like this Harry" he paused.
"But we should ask Conrad and Eli for alliances and some man power"
Everybody was looking at Harriette now, as she shook her head.
"We can't do that, my dad would be furious" she replied.
It was silent for a while.
"Harry, that's the only way we're going to pull this off"
"And what if it goes wrong? What if they betray us?" She fiddled with her mud brown lock of hair, noticing some split ends but she shoved that thought to the back of her mind.
What Chase was suggesting was ludicrous.
Not only were they going against the Royal soldiers commands, they were going to be publically associating with different kinds, which was against all moral codes in the whole Mystic Creek.
"They're our friends" he said, reassuringly.
"They're your friends Chase, and they don't care about my father" she was feeling teary again, and knots formed in her stomach.
Was this her only option?
"We can ask, surely?" Cheryl almost whispered.
Harry knew she had to consider it, especially if her best friends were pushing this.
They knew it was risky, and they would be taking that risk with her.
"Okay" Harry spoke after some minutes.
"Lets ask them".

⠀
The drive up to Eli's house was deadly silent, Connor stayed home as he had some work to do and it was Chase, Harry and Cheryl in Chases DB8.
"You okay?" Cheryl nudged her friend, who had been silently picking at the ends of her hair for ages now.
"Yeah, I just don't know how this is going to down" she revealed.
She was nervous.
"We can only ask, its our only option" Cheryl replied, taking Harry's hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze.
Eli's house was visible now, it looked empty and sounded quiet.
A masking spell that stopped the small amount of neighbours complaining about the noise.
Eli had moved into his own place on his 18th birthday, he was 20 now like the guys and had lived here since graduation.
As the gates opened, the loud thumps of the bassy music spilled out briefly until the gates were closed again.
The girls followed Chase inside, and headed straight to the kitchen.
They grabbed a drink, Harry opted for a Jack Daniels and Coke, she needed the edge taken off and fast.
"Ayy boys" shouted Chase and only Ben and Conrad heard him, wolf hearing, thought Harry.
Chase told them to grab Eli and follow them to the roof, the girls followed in tow.
The roof was quiet, and it was a breezy night, or maybe Harry was feeling unwell.
Nerves were eating her and she was anticipating the outcome.
The three guys came into sight, and Harry's eyes met conrads.
His were gray and sat big on his masculine face.
He had 5pm stubble and she couldn't help but feel uneasy as his eyes bored back into hers.
She averted her sight and fiddled with the hem of her dress now, giving her hair a break.
"Lads" Chase greeted them.
Ben and Eli fist bumped him, along with Conrad who added "Wierd little get together".
"s**t's about to get serious" Chade said, and they all took a seat.
"So I'm sure you know King Patrick has been abducted"
The men nodded.
"Well the Royal soldiers aren't taking this seriously anymore, Christoph is leading commander and is clearly enjoying the power he holds a little too much"
Hardy flinched at him name, worried something, anything would weep from the woodwork about her experience with him.
She looked up, to find Conrad eyeing her suspiciously.
He turned to Chase when he eyes found his, "So why are we here?" He questioned.
"Can we trust you?" He eyed both Eli and Conrad, Ben had already taken part in our discussions previously and the trio knew he was down to help.
Eli nodded, and Conrad eyed the three of them before nodding himself.
"We've decided we're going rogue, no Royal guards are willing to pitch in so I've taken information behind their backs without them knowing too much"
"I asked them the simple question of, would you do more to help the king, and they all replied with 'Can't disobey Christoph', that was enough for me" he finished.
"And you're willing to defy your boyfriend?" Conrad pinned the attention on Harry now.
"My father is more important, and he's not doing anything to help" she voiced quietly.
"What we about to do?" asked Eli.
He was such a stoner.
"Chase leads, interrogate and intimidate, we gotta find the king before the whole kingdom is shut down by that douche" replied Chase.
"You already know I'm in" Ben dist bumped Chase.
"Yo I'm down, I got a boy that can come with but we need a favour back" Eli said, looking at Harry again.
"What is it?" She asked, cautiously.
"I need a permit for these parties or a house somewhere secluded, the spells knock me out to early and kill my buzz" he laughed.
"I'll get on that as soon as he's back" and she would.
It was the least she could do for his help.
Now, it was all down to Conrad, he had a full pack and was a powerful secret weapon.
His venomous bite could poison a vampire and kill him in 24 hours, his blood would be addictive to a cold blood but getting that far was always difficult, especially to an Alpha.
He was silent, with a face like stone and the outcome was really a 50/50 outcome at this point.
