Chapter 7

It has been 8 months since we last saw Bella and Lazarus and I must say the quite calm normally day to day was a really nice change of pace from the last year I have had. We were able to get some new territory, new pack members and a few of the guys found there mates. It was all going very well until Lazarus showed up with Bella.
"My mother is collecting all her men to wage war on your kind, we have come to warn you but I fear it may be to late." Lazarus said quickly as he pushed Bella into the house as he looked behind him.
I looked into the woods seeing the shadows moving.
"Frank gather the men!" I heard Blake scream before throwing me over his shoulders.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked him frantically.
He didn’t say anything, he just took me into the office pushing a book aside reveling a panel, he typed in some numbers as the wall slide open. He walked in setting me on my feet, placing his hands on either side of my face kissing me.
"Please, Blake what is happening?" I asked.
"It's war. You will be safe here." he said
"I want to help you." I said gripping his shirt.
"Baby, your human. I need you to stay here and be safe so I can focus on my men." he said kissing me again.
"Okay." I whispered letting him go.
He stepped back as the door shut and locked in front of him. I needed to help him some how but I wasn’t sure I could. I started looking over the panel in front of me reading each button, playing with the camera views and finding the speaker button. I looked up to find a large amount of vampires heading towards the back entrance of our home. I frantically started pushing buttons, one of them engaged weapons attached to the house firing hitting some of them making the others take a step back. Another engaged metal doors and window panels to be dropped in front every single one around the house making it hard to enter. I pushed the speaker turning it on so I could hear what was going on around me.
"What is happening?" Lazarus asked.
"Fern is trying to protect us." Blake said.
"Will these hold them off?" Bella asked.
"No, but it will help." Blake replied. "We need to get all the women and children in the bunkers now."
"Yes Alpha." one of the men said as they ran towards the crowd of people directing them down halls.
"Are you men ready?" Blake asked before shifting into his Lycan form.
All the men and some women shifted and placed themselves readying for the attack. I could see the vampires starting to rip at the doors and windows. I looked around to see Lazarus hiding Bella near the back bedrooms before he ran downstairs standing next to Blake. I could see they were starting to bend the metal panels away form the windows and door it was only a matter of time before the house was flooded with vampires and I feared for my mates life. I looked around the room trying to find anything that could help them but it was to late they were already come in, waves and waves of vampire kind flooding into my home, I lost track of my mate and Lazarus. Franticly I kept searching for nothing to help them, I finally found plans to the house seeing that the ventilation system would push out through the house from this panic room as it filtered the air. I opened one of the first aid boxes finding a knife and than I climbed up so I was close to the air vent, slicing my hand open and letting my scent fill the air. It surprisingly worked all of the vampires left their fight flocking to the panic room door giving the pack a moment of reprieve. Soon every single one of them were pounding on the door and ripping the walls apart until they got to another metal wall. I grabbed a bandage wrapping my hand up. Looking up at the monitor I saw my mate and a few of our best men circling the vampires who were in a frenzy, with a few swift moves and hard bites each one of the vampires were dispatched. All but 3, Lazarus, Bella and his mother who was walking to my home ready to kill, her fangs were out and she hissed as she walked. Once she was face to face with her son and my mate she saw red, you could see the anger radiating off her. Than she pounced towards my mate, her son ripped her off throwing her to the side and into a wall. They fought for what seemed like hours until her lifeless body lay with her soldiers. I was shaking and my breathing was heavy, Blake shifted back before knocking on the panic room door lightly, I watched as Bella ran into her mates arms placing kisses all over his face before she inspected his body for injury. I pushed the button opening the door as Blake stepping inside pulling me into his arms.
"You’re a brave little mate." he whispered.
"They wanted to hurt what was mine and I couldn’t let that happen." I said back.
"Thank you baby." he said before pulling away kissing me softly.
"Thank you for aiding us Fern, you are a remarkable human." Lazarus said as he held Bella close to his chest.
"I am happy everyone is alive." I said looking around. "Those of you who are hurt go find your mates and go rest so you can heal."
"Does that count for me to?" Blake asked.
"Yes." I said as he picked me up cradling me to his chest. "Who will clean all of this up?"
"We have men who will in the morning." he replied as he went up the stairs. "I love you."
"I love you too." I said placing a kiss to his cheek.
Once we got to our room he sat me down on my feet and turned to shut the door and turning the lock in place. I walked into the washroom, brushing my teeth and washing my face before changing into my night clothes. Once I was finished and went back out to the room I saw Blake fast asleep on the bed, I placed a blanket over him and than crawled into bed next to him falling asleep quickly.
4 years later.
After finding peace with the vampire race we all lived in harmony together. Blake and I welcomed 4 sweet children into the world and looked over our pack members as they lived the lives we always wished for.
We all lives our best lives after the war, and we would continue to do so.
