I continued folding the clothes I’ve gotten from my laundry machine while talking to Jane on a video call. She’s still at the hospital taking care of her mother. On her background, I see Stephen holding Elise on the infant carrier. He was tapping Elise’s back, trying to make her sleep.
“Hold on, are you sure that it’s fine bringing the baby in the hospital? God, Jane, she’s just a baby and prone to sickness. Why are you like that?”
