As soon as the door clicked shut, I dropped to the floor and quickly grab Dr. Rose’s phone from under the bed.
I didn't have time to think futher. I ran into the massive walk-in closet and shoved the cell phone deep into the toe of a winter boot hidden in the very back corner. It was a terrible hiding spot but it was the best I could do in ten minutes.

I took a deep breath, forcing myself to stay still. I packed a suitcase with the most expensive, glamorous clothes Julian had bought for me.
Then I turned to the rack of clothes. The blue silk dress was hanging right in the front.
I slipped it on. Then I sat at the vanity mirror and quickly applied makeup, carefully covering my pale skin and the redness around my eyes.
