Dimitri did show up the next morning.
He brought a wall clock, some novels, and a TV. Unfortunately the TV can only play DVDs, as it's underground so it's difficult to install a sufficient antenna to catch the TV channels. But at least bring me about a dozen movies for me to see.
I just sat at the dining table pretending to watch Dimitri and the others turn on the TV.
I can't run away now, unfortunately Dimitri came with some Pack members who helped him carry things. Too many people and too risky, if I try to escape now I won't be able to reach those stairs.
But I observed the half-open door of this room while remembering the details of the iron door on the other side.
The three members of the Basilisk Pack who had been assisting Dimitri turned several times to look at me
