Alex's words took me a bit by surprise. Didn't Lycan not have a mate? Does Alex still consider me his mate to this day? We haven't had a chance to talk about it yet, so I'm not sure how to respond to what he just said.

"I understand," I replied gently. But talking about the Full Moon Party got me thinking back on our relationship. The mark on my neck is almost gone but it seems Alex still doesn't notice it.
